@@noahloyd9 Hey Noah! Appreciate you stopping by man. That’s sick on the C6 man. Congrats! Heck yeah on the supercharger. Occasionally there are some good deals in the Corvette FB groups but watch out for scammers. @@ChaosChrisPHL Heck yeah man and I would’ve done the same thing. The C5’s are still super solid and really nice Vettes! The C5 is the first model that really caught my attention.
as a C5 owner i would 100% recommend NOT getting the lowest miles possible. if thats what your looking for to "Avoid possibility the car has been ran hard" then you open yourself to a whole new world of issues. these cars if they are not driven will and do go down hill fast like most other cars, the only difference is you dont have to warry about rust. what you want to find for any corvette is one that has 1 or 2 owners, has been taken care off and has at least over 60k miles that way you know based on miles it got drove at least a few times a year to maintain everything. a buddy of mine got a Z-06 with 30K miles on it and all its done is stay in the show getting issue after issue fixed related to the car not being drove, gaskets dried out, need new break lines, needs this needs that, and we got our cars a week apart in 2020, i got mine with 143K miles and its been my daily driver ever since with the exception of when its stopped working like needing new alternator etc
Really good point you bring up! Low miles doesn't just mean a great deal worth getting. I can see the value with getting something that has a little more miles, has been driven, and maybe even had a little work to it already versus a garage queen that sat for years. Thanks for sharing!
I've owned both generations in the Z06 model. I can't give opinions on anything else. Both are worth the money. Both have a few features the other hasn't. I could go on and on about both. Go with what you can afford is my advice.
I really dnt want electric doors ,and all the expensive stuff on the c6,i would love to have the ls2 or 3 in my c5. Keep the body just give me the motor
Yeah I ended up going c5 because of several reasons over the c6 and the extra tech in the c6 is one of the negatives for me. Also don’t like the front end as much as the c5 and even if the quality is technically better on the c6, I think the c5 interior looks better
I’ve owned both. The interior on both are pretty bad. With that said, I think the C5 has better body lines and is the last of the pop up headlight. There is one exception though. The C6 GS may be the best looking vette ever made.
I dont understand why everyone says the c6 interior is so bad what are people coming from New benzes or something. I think the interior is pretty nice as does everyone else that sits in my car BUT,,, I made two very impactful changes.. I changed the steering wheel to a nice flat bottom LED carbon fiber wheel, and I put in that Max Din 10.1 inch screen which seamlessly fits in the center console.. with these two mods the interior is literally great to me.. oh and I changed the shifter to a flat stick MGW short shifter with the simple black ball grip which looks super clean as well... also new floor mats and leather elbow pads on the doors which look clean classy and are comfortable to rest your arm on.. so i guess I made more changes than I thought but with a little help the interior goes from a zero to hero..
The best bang for your buck is still going to be a C5Z if you're looking for performance. A C5Z with an A&A kit will easily put down 600-650rwhp for cheaper than the C6 equivalent models unless you just get good deal on a C6 GS. You could easily have a boosted C5Z for $30k with over 600rwhp.
Yeah man I feel you and for sure with the C5Z. Unless you find a 20k C6. The only downfall with the C5 Z is that you’re close to max effort on that setup and could push an LS2 or LS3 a little further. But I definitely get you. 🙌
@Mattsboosted 100% I love the C6 Z06 and that ls7, but I'm with you, I think the C6 GS is the way to go. I think if I move into that platform, that'll be the model I go with. The LS3 is hard to beat for performance and reliability.
C5 buyers look for more heritage, more classy and exotic style and looks. C6 buyers are looking for more performance, more loudness, more attention from others and it's more prone to go to the wrong hands more than the c5 (except for the fact the c5 could also go to the wrong hands as it's cheaper and cheaoer people can destroy it also). C5 and c6 buyers are way different as bith cars are hugely different between each other...even tho it's almost a restyling of the same car. So people tend to compare them but it's wrong. Both are pretty different to be compared.
I definitely get what you're saying. I think we can compare any car no matter how different, just for science and all. But I see what you mean in terms of them being for completely different buyers.
@metaljew4456 I've never heard of that being a common problem from anyone I know who has one. Maybe it is? Idk. Not only does it make a good chunk more power at stock, but it also has more headroom for power.

Call me biased but IMO the C6 is the way to go. It’s almost 5” shorter and the interior is way nicer and the car is much better looking than the C5.
Totally agree! Though I’m sorta biased as well 😂
Interior is bad on both, and they both look beautiful imo. The biggest benefit of the C6 is the LS3. The LS1 was brilliant, but the LS3 is a monster.
@ Please explain why the LS3 is a monster? Because it has 36 more HP? They all have the crank pulley issue do they not?

@@metaljew4456 LS3 has an iron block, it's able to hold 7-800whp+ reliably and can hold a lot of boost very well, in stock form.
