Thank you for creating these tutorials. They are so clear and easy to follow along with. I'm learning this fantastic program for a new job, and your videos have helped me become much more confident!
Great tutorials! You are my first port of call with any Pro Tools learning issues. If you don't mind, I'd just like to clarify one issue with this tutorial: you advise not to click the 'Create From Template' option, which I can understand initially, but would it be the norm to save the newly created session as a template and just re-use it for future projects by selecting 'Create From Template'? Apologies if the answer is obvious, but I just wondered if, maybe, there is a reason why templates are best avoided.
THANK YOU! You could absolutely do that and in some cases I do. For my studio... where I use Pro Tools in conjunction with a lot of external hardware, I have a number of templates setup for this so I don't continually need to route stuff. For editing and project building I rarely use templates because I don't often use the same approach for things. However there's nothing wrong with the approach! Whatever helps you get the job done. When I have new students I often recommend not working with templates because I think it over complicates whats happening when someone is learning the program. So I prefer to help people with less happening and a clean timeline. Template away though if you know what yer looking for! :)
Genius, very clear. I would love to put a positive comment on your every session .Way better than most if not all paid versions of teaching pro tools. For BEGINNERS this is a must. Am not sure if you have more advanced tutorials as I have just graduated from watching your tutorials.
Appreciated! Thank you for the kind words! I'm definitely working out some ideas on how to approach more advanced stuff with the same easy approach. I've just had a busy semester and haven't had a moment to record anything yet! Hopefully soon!

Glad you like them and thanks a ton for the feedback, it really helps. If there is any specific tutorial you'd like to see just message or comment!
