Hawks Bluff Farm Druzy Crystals, Morel Mushrooms and A Solar Eclipse

- So, I set out on Monday, April 8, 2014, to see the eclipse and find some amazing druzy crystals at "Hawks Bluff Farm Rocks and Drusy," a new Druzy Crystal mine here in Missouri. Wow! You got a bunch of really cool pieces! I'm sending off my last piece that didn't have very good druzy but had some nice agate, and I'm sending it away to somebody that can use it! So I may need you to go out hunting rocks for me again soon! Just for me this time though! And I want about half and half. Half druzy and half agate! Soooo pretty! I want a big plate of druzy, with an agate back! Thats gorgeous! And this place hasn't been as picked and shoveled over as haunted ridge has. But there seems to be plenty more; I think all of missouri, was a cyanobacterial bacteria colony! Which is just so cool! Love your videos and the eclipse was cool. It didn't even dim the sun a little bit here. So to see it through your lense was cool! Thanks for checking out the new place for us! And gathering morels was a bonus! Thanks for hunting rocks for us Jeff! ❤
Thank you I was worried the eclipse wasn't gonna turn out too well, it's crazy to think how I was at 99.61% and it was dark but the folks in 100% said it was almost like nite time (It did fool the turkey though 🤣) And I can for sure get you some druzy and agate and I have something else coming for you soon. Trying to work out the way to do it.

Thanks for the fun adventure, Master Jeff. Awesome place…so much material. I never get bored with the digging in one spot. You never know what mysteries are just down there under the earth. I loved digging even when I was a kid.
I completely missed the eclipse. I’ve been so detached that I didn’t even know about it till it was over.
I have a feeling had I stayed and dug. I would have found some massive points on the druzy just from going off of what I was seeing on the ground. Next time, I'm bringing my shovel. And people being busy and life getting hectic is one of the reasons I knew I had to film it for folks ... I also sped it up cause cause life's hectic and no one wants to watch a 2 and a half hour video of the sun ... maybe they do I don't 🤣🤣
@@huntingrocksThat’s pretty amazing. I really appreciate you filming it for us. I’ve never been able to watch one very clearly in person. Maybe one. But I didn’t have decent gear to film it. Obviously I would love to see the full eclipse video.

Haha well thank you and I hope you made it down 270 before it became a parking lot ... It was a lovely 1 hour drive to the mine from my house ... and a 3.5 hour stop and go stop and go drive back home. In my videos I try not to cuss ... Im glad I don't video my driving 🤣🤣
You know that's right whenever I get a case of the road rages I stopped by a conservation area or Park do some walking

Jeff could you do a video on your various finished projects? You say you make jewelry, etc. I would love to see the results. Cool eclipse to! In 2017, I was in the path of total totality and I was in awe.
I will see what I can do about making a jewelry video ( I will warn you I'm not very good at it ) and will show my crystal critters I make too. Lisa has one of those 😀
Drusy, morels and a solar eclipse. You hit the jackpot. I think you are right to concentrate on the smaller clusters. You can be more selective. Have you considered bringing a scrub brush along? Might be useful.
I really should thats a great idea, some times I bring a yard spray bottle so I can get dirt off of them but I love the brush idea
Gotta get down to this place and do some serious digging. Bout time we hit another good decayed pocket. I’m sure they’re there!

i love the one at the 10:30 mark , if you ever want to depart with it i would be interested in it, i love burres .great video,, i was there 2 weeks ago and found 3 buckets worth , they have great colors,
Thank you, and I love the burres too. This one was super cool when I got it home all of the tubes went all the way through (well, until the top blocked it).
This was my first time there and I am chomping at the bit to get back, they have so much cool stuff there and amazing colors.

Maybe I’m a weirdo, but I’ve just never cared for mushrooms. They just taste like…fungus…to me. 😂
Hahaha I have heard people say that before .. you just got to fry them with butter and garlic.. of course I guess everything taste good fried with butter and garlic 😆
