Very nice description. I have been wanting to try but I have been so intimidated. Your video/tutorial has built my confidence and I can't wait to try this! Yours are beautiful by the way. So inspirational!
Hi Sweetie, Just beautiful. Love the colours of both Journals. Thank you for sharing, I will certainly try it. Hope all is well, and that Mum is doing well. Huge Hugs xox
Hi there, Love your journal. I am wondering at 39 seconds in, is that purchased paper with the faces? So lovely. Love the butterfly patterned fabric too. Thanks!
Love this, TFS! Definitely going to make a few journals this way! Do you live in Northbay? My stepdad used to have land in Northbay, which we went to see when I was around 11 or 12 years old. Nice to meet another Canadian! 🇨🇦🇺🇦
I use embroidery cotton for strength & variety of colours. I get a small beeswax block/candle/sheet to roll up tigjtly, place one end of thread underneath my thumb - pressing it down into the wax (leave a bit out to grip) & pull it through. Repeat at least 5 times to thoroughly coat it all. It works well & is super easy & accessible for me from a craft shop so I don't need to bother ordering. Just another option 😊
Anyone else find her voice really relaxing? And of course the journals are beautiful!
I'm not sure my husband would agree with you ;) But thank you!
Yes! I always watch at night when I settle in to bed. So relaxing, and of course wonderfully talented!

Thanks Tami! I wish I could remember, it was several years ago when I was trying to gather a small stash to work with. Maybe fabric.com?

Hi there, yes I'm in North Bay. Nice to meet you, happy crafting! ❤
Love these. I need to order some waxed thread before I can do one. What do I get? Will probably have to get it on eBay. Thanks for a great tutorial.
I also use crochet cotton, baker's twine, or embroidery floss. Whatever I have on hand at the time :)
You can buy a little container of beeswax designed for strengthening threads. Dritz makes one. It lasts for ages.

Hi. What if I don't have a sewing machine to sew around the edges? Can the fabri tac be good enough? Thank you 😊
Yes the FabriTac is very strong. The stitching is just an extra detail but not necessary. Happy crafting! Xo
