Pam, I have to say you’re giving me doily heart failure this morning. 😆 I wanted to grab that large cream (probably place mat) rectangle thingy out of your hand and hide it behind my back. I actually shouted, “no chop, Pam! No chop!”😆 It would make an entire cover base by itself. 😁 You are fearless. You go girl! 👍 Your vision, your scraps, your glue and scissors = beautiful cover. Love watching you work. 💕

You are so fun to watch. I just sit and laugh sometimes when you are working through your crafts. I need more of you in my life. I do not laugh nearly as much as I do when I watch your videos. LOVE IT!!! Keep it going.

Oh my heck, Pam, I love your videos! I’m very late to the junk journal game but your casual attitude and “narratives” are just the way I talk to myself. I started to laugh 2 seconds before you said , “no laughing”. Then you ran out of bobbin…how many times have I been there!! 3 years ago, 1 year ago, or 7 days ago, I love your designs, explanations, videos…I’m so comfortable in your world. Thank you!!

Hello Pam and crew, just love your boldness , I have made more doilies than I can count and I have to admit that I had a moment when you cut the first one but then I thought about how many of them that I have thrown away because of a stain. I could have saved them for a project like this.I have crafted most of my life, sewing for over half of it and I have followed the rules, well let me tell you the rules are now out of the window now I am ready to be a rebel .thank you for sharing your passion and so much fun

Dear Pam, You are wonderful! ❤ I love watching your videos. I've only discovered you a few weeks ago, but you are pretty much the only person I watch for scrapbooking. To answer your question, Yes there is a right and wrong side in crochet. Sometimes it is hard to tell which is which and sometimes they both look really good. (Atleast to my eye) I love to crochet. Hope this gets to you a year after you have made your video, Pam. Unless someone else already answered your question. By the way, please don't ever make a silent video. Love your chatter❤

I use extra strength Heat & Bond (iron fusible fabric) in between the fabric and iron it together so there’s no glue to mess with and it ads rigidity. No areas that aren’t glued down.

My phone isn't letting me leave a comment so I hope you don't end up with several comments from me.. I can't remember all that I said 😏 but briefly...you could use your metal bobbins and wooden thread spools as spine dangles for a sewing theme journal. Love this project. Your inside fabric with doilies would make an awesome cover. TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too of course. Have a great day. 🌞

I'm pretty sure in the last week or so I've watched every single one of your videos multiple times, now I put ur podcast on when ever I'm cleaning my place. If someone asked me what my favourite tv show I'd, I'd Say the paper outpost. I fall asleep watching your videos every night I find them so inspiring and therapeutic, and u always make me laugh going off topic and losing track of everything or of what ur doing. I can relate to ur videos so much im the exact same way in the craft room. Thank you for all the inspiration and motivation/confidence to start my first junk journal that was once a dunkaroo box.

As I was taking the book jacket off of another book today, and setting it aside (because I had heard to save them), I wondered "Why?". I had never seen anyone use them for anything. Then lo and behold...you are using one. I couldn't figure out what to do with them and now problem solved. Thank you so much for sharing your time, talents and extended family with us(Holly,Sunny, others).
    Sincerely
    Donna

Yes! The right side of the doily is the part facing you while you are crocheting. You could probably look at someone doing it online for a min, and then you could tell! I love the

You are crazy quilting! eBay is truly an EXCELLENT source for fabric because: those of us who quilt are known for accumulating so much fabric that we have to offer it online to make room for our families to live in the house. It is usually discounted and in many precut sizes like 2 1/2” , 5”, 10” squares. Same with embroidery thread, lace etcetera.

I totally love this one! You make it seem so easy...I was thinking what a gorgeous place mat this would be but then you mentioned food.... oh yeah... one would have to be very careful.... Oh well, maybe just to decorate my table... of course not with a paper book cover in it, but this does give one ideas for other projects. But back to the purpose of this... I hope we will see this through to a finished JJ. I am rambling aren't I? Thank you Pam, for all you do and all the fun and joy you give us. And little Sunny boy too. ❤️ ❤️❤️

Allergies don’t need interfacing! Gesundheit! Thank you so much for this!!!!❤️❤️❤️. With a doily, it’s best to keep both sides looking like the right side. Crocheting makes that possible. With your lace fabric, because it’s machine made, there is a right side. You’ll be able to tell because one side is definitely more attractive. Just love you!💖💗💓💗💖 And FlufferPup!💘

This is very inspiring, thank you.
    You probably already know this,
but for fabric that doesn’t tear very well, there is a strategy of pulling a fabric thread along where you want the cut to be or where you would tear if the fabric would let you.
    - you can pull the thread all the way out and it will leave a little blank spot that you can follow with your scissors or if the breaks before you can pull it all the way through, it leaves a scrunched up line that continues in the same path that will let you follow the same straight line easily with your scissors.
