Fun Fact. From 94 to 1998 we received adip, stwb, crossroads ep, tbd. In just 4 years they pumped out all of those ripping skatepunk records! Wow!
Yeh Jim cherry wrote heaps of music in the 90s, super talented dude .. plus they were in their 20s so probably were super motivated.
More funner fact……Strung Out gave us fans a little something. Just be happy they identify as rock n roll

@@erikbedell7392 I know for sure that Jake is embracing all of his influences in his current playing so I'm hoping we hear more non traditional punk with punk songs on this new LP.
The riff is fire but the overall sound is nothing compared to their previous albums. The mix sounds like a B-Side or a demo and the lyrics sound like they were recorded in the bathroom. I know we are all know it alls.We should be happy that SO is still around

Guys relax, I agree TAD is exquisite, but remember this is all pre-release UA-cam music, I guarantee the actual hard copy and digital copy sound much cleaner and filled out, Strung Out 4 life, I scratched thr meaning in my arm! Did y'all?

@@OuterHeavenTactical Sorry but I can't see this being anything other than the final mix. I am not sure why you think it isn't? Why would they put it out so close to the release date unless it was the final mix. They would have to remaster it etc if there was going to be another version and it is all way too close to the album release date. Sorry but I would say it is just a really bad mix. In fact I would say this is just as much of a tracking issue as it is a bad mix.
@@memento12777 im not saying it's not the final mix, I'm saying that UA-cam's sounds are always subpar in my opinion, all 3 of these tracks sound much better on Spotify, and I believe that the hard copy and digital copy will sound much better without UA-cam interference

Not my favourite track. I preferred the Suburban Teenage wasteland blues era sound. To me, this sound is too polished, but I get it, band's evolve and sounds change along the way. I'm still very happy that Strung Out is still around making music. Great job guys.

I can tell this album is gonna be really good live because of the back up vocals and harmonies completing sentences and answering back, it'll def give Jason little more time to really get them notes out there loud and clear

I just saw the circle jerks and they f****** destroyed it and pennywise killed it and sick of it all killed it and nofx killed it and less than Jake destroyed it.... @@dailystar1 that's because they are in completely different leagues, and neither of those leagues are bad in anyway, you can't compare albums from the mid 90s to albums 20-25 years later. Id be sorely disappointed if they were still pumping out twisted wasteland clones nowadays, it wouldn't show any growth or adventure into new musical avenues, it would be boring like oh boy here's strung outs 10th album that sounds just like their last 9. That's one thing that I've loved the most about them and why I'm always so stoked for a new album because I know it's not going to be a carbon copy of any of their previous albums. Each of their albums has its own unique flavor and flow to it that is rare in a lot of bands nowadays. They are the Kings of the Underground and they forever are etched in my mind body and soul, they have saved my life a few times and don't even know it. They will always be number one for me and even with that I know bad music when I hear it and so far I've heard none from them, different sure, evolving absolutely, and better because of it. To all the band members present and past I FUCKING LOVE YOU GUYS AND I SCRATCHED THE MEANING IN MY ARM CUZ IM STRUNG OUT 4 LIFE

I agree that the mix is poor to say the least but worse than that is the tracking. Whoever recorded the vocals really did a terrible job. Jason sounds like he does when he sings live (which isn't great). He strikes me as the type of singer who would need to do numerous takes, which are then spliced together to get a good final version. I hate to say it but this really is a terrble final sonic product. It isn't helped by the fact that Kyle Black did such an amazing job producing TAD.
Diggin the back up vocals and the mix in general.. especially the bass drum.
Yeah I like the mix too - sounds great and spacey on my stereo. People complaining are likely listening on their phones.
@@cfat94I've listened to it on my speakers at home and good ones in my truck. The mix is weird compared to their other stuff. There is a ton of treble, the bass is almost non-existent, the vocals are too loud for the mix and seem to be missing some reverb or something. It's not the worst sound ever, these guys have just always had super clean, near perfect sounding production that fit nicely with their sound and these songs feel unfinished... Maybe it's a teaser thing for the singles and the album will be different? Idk, it's just kind of odd

To all the people who think any or all 3 of the new releases sound like they were recorded in a toilet do not fret! It's just UA-cam for whatever reason, go and take a listen to each song on Spotify and crank that shit till the knob breaks off! They sound IMMENSELY better on Spotify especially White Owls and Cages. The Hardcopy and digital download will definitely sound much better and clearer with proper levels on vocals and instruments. I just listened to each one back to back UA-cam version first Spotify after and it really is a world of difference in the quality, clarity, and bass and treble levels.
After listen the three new songs in my opinion this band is done.. sad but true

Finally a representable mix. Not that double vocal BS every band does like PW. Although volume mixing can be better. Vocals are too loud.

Not really, every era of Strung Out stands on its own. While I adore the EOSD/AAP/EIO era there is also nostalgia upon first discovery involved. Just be open for the new music ☺️ Good they don't repeat themselves

I lost track of this band long time ago. This song sounds weird.
Just give them a bit time to adjust to the progressively larger and larger anal beads that they have been stretching themselves with in the studio and during their live shows as of late. I think that any one of us in the same situation would be struggling a bit to look and sound like our usual self..
