i think what makes TSSF so good is that they’ve stuck to their guns through their whole career. no bs, no riding trends, no elaborate promotional schemes. every single music video is just performance shots that match the aesthetics of the song. and their sound has only matured. TSSF changed my life when i first found them and have moved with me as i’ve grown. and to me that makes them timeless.
From Jud Jud to I Want To Disappear and whatever comes next, I'm sticking with these guys forever.
I feel like you captured why so many of us were attracted to the band initially and also why so many of us are still listeners after all these years.

I am an original pop punk gangster. I grew up with blink182 and sum41. TSSF make incredible pop punk. Truly incredible.
THIS is how a band should age. The sound has evolved but isn't a huge departure from what made their early stuff so good. Solid stuff.

Why does getting older always have to equal getting softer? I'm 30 and have been listening to this stuff forever now and there's still some of us older folk that much prefer a band to keep putting of the faster "heavier" stuff. Luckily there are still older bands and newer younger bands keeping the same vibes

@@Beezle66 Oh man idk about you but while bands tend to go slower, i do too. I'm 27 and i don't have much of that teenage angst i had before, other feelings start to take over. You see all your relatives forming families, marrying, it just gets so slower in comparison to everything you live on your younger days.
Don't get me wrong, i still listen to all the fast stuff but i understand why a "mature sound" becomes a thing. However, it's up to them to make that interesting (see Blink-182 and how they've managed to create nostalgia in their latest tracks). The other end of the spectrum is Metallica and how their fanbase insist on making them faster, making them a shadow of what they once were and very boring from a creative perspective, imho.
@@Beezle66 Because when you are younger, you have all the energy to waste. When you grow old, most of the time you want just softer ones because you are already exhausted by being adult.
@@Beezle66For me it's not about them being softer. I love harder genres even more now that I am older. But I was just honestly really happe that the last album was about growth and being in a good place and being sober and not blaming the other party in a bad relationship or some of the things the older songs were about. That's the growing up with me part to me.

40 years old and just discovered these guys last year. Got a promotion at work and finally got my own office. As as metal head, I knew that probably wasn't proper for the office environment. Went searching for an upbeat, easy going band and stumbled across these guys. Have listened to all their albums multiple times now and definitely psyched for the new stuff! Love this song, I keep replaying it. Wish it was a little longer so I didn't have to keep going back and could focus on my work haha!
The drum fill into the chorus at 2:16 makes me so happy. This song is fantastic.
That chorus is just so good, everything just hits. The riff/lead/drums and vocals.

I find it funny...growing up I feel like us at TSSF fans we thrived off the anger and pain that parker was feeling to the point where we pigeonholed him into this symbol the "pop punk poster child" but now as years have gone on and we've all lived and all had time to mature and grow it's nice seeing a smile on Parker's face. Really cool that I grew with this band and had them to help me through those tougher years. Cheers boys, here's to things looking up

I saw a comment saying that this song is about his late father? If so, this hits harder than ever. I lost my dad last year of May. He listened to TSSF as well, Empty Space and Nerve were songs he really liked. We have the same music taste and would update each other with new bands we discovered.

This band never misses. Been my favorite band since forever.
Guitars are beautiful and really compliment the vocal melody. Drums stay in the pocket and don't overplay. Lyrics are great as always. I love it! I've grown up with this band since 2011 and I will be here forever. TSSF doesn't miss but I've missed 'em. 2018 was a while ago haha.
Really happy & grateful that the mellow, emotional melodic aspects of Proper Dose are still here... That album is one of my fav albums EVER. No skippable tracks. I'm so stoked to listen to the full album this summer. It's been a long 6 years :')

I missed this sound so much 😭 I am so happy about the upcoming album!
Ever since I heard “Smile” from TSSF’s self titled album I’ve loved them ever since. I randomly heard it on an Instagram video, whoever posted that is a legend to me.
This video dropping genuinely means the world to me. TSSF has been my favourite band since 2016 and I’ve always sang their praises. TSSF has been my story so far.
Parker looks great in this and genuinely looks like he’s thought a lot about his past and everything he’s had to overcome Ryan is great on drums and everyone looks like they’re just jamming.
They all have a lighthearted smile moment in the video but also present themselves as extremely serious or lost in thought.
Everyone vanishing at 0:50 and Parker sitting alone have me questioning if this will be their last album. It feels like he either feels isolated and doesn’t belong in this music world anymore with TSSF and the smile Parker gives us at 1:08 feels like a “I have loved my time here, but it’s time to move on.” And at 1:50 when Parker walks away from everyone else in the band. I’m definitely over analyzing but that’s what TSSF’s songs make me do because I feel connected to them and their songs.
Could be about Parker’s dad or Kelen too probably more so his dad but certain lines I feel could also be applied to Kelen leaving.
Parker walking away from the group could also be attributed to Parker having a hard time returning back to TSSF after his father’s passing, it does seem like he doesn’t want to give up on it and push through the heartache.
Hope all is good with them all. I’m so happy to see them back at it with the new album coming out soon, it makes me feel like my story isn’t over yet either.
Please don’t make us wait another 6 years for the next one 😅.

man the day the story so far disband is the day i barrel roll to my death, this band has been holding me together for nearly 7 years. Parkers lyricism holds me whole through TSSF and No Pressure, even though hes not a fan of pop punk he does it absolutely perfectly every single time.

Truly, this band has helped me through so much tough times in my life, I didn't have parents or family like that growing up, so a lot of the time the music felt like all I had to bond with others and be at peace on my own.
