I'm a DC die hard for life and largely agreed with your take on Superman until I rewatched 78 on Bluray, suddenly it changed my whole view of the character. I just become a bigger and bigger fan all the time. The Alan Moore stuff is legendary and Geoff Johns Brainiac stuff. The ethics of how Superman conducts himself with unlimited power is what makes it interesting as you alluded to.
Yeah took a friend who is a diehard Supes fan to get that message home to me. Since then, I have been enjoy Superman stories more and more. And in a time when it feels like the world is losing hope, someone like Superman is a great refresher that we all are capable of good if we remember our humanity.
I watched maybe 4 of first season I'll catch up but doesn't seem like superman doesn't have lots of enemies like batman unless some from other cities in DCEU come there. I'll catch up but you sold me to get back on the show and use my Max app since House of Dragons returning.
Are you doing reviews on House of the Dragon too?
BTW, Winston are you and Coy going to be joining Kristian and Dan for their show in NYC on the 21st?

Superman, to me, has always been and is a TV character (I used to be a fan of the radio show but now I don't have the patience), so I relate to him on the small (screen) level. I think "My Adventures" is amazing because it's done the near-impossible: it's made characters almost 90-years-old into brand new people!!! I'm rocking with it!
Comics-wise, our topic begins and ends for me with "All-Star Superman."
Movies-wise, I'm okay with the first two Christopher Reeve movies and "Man of Steel" (and the pre-TV serials, believe it or not!).
Back to TV: I think his '80s Marv Wolfman *and* his '90s Timm-Dini cartoons are underrated. (I think it's just those Flescher film classics can't be beat and, decades later, still make a great viewing experience, on TV or wherever.) I'll always be grateful to "Smallville" for being so well-written that it set the foundation for audiences to accept superheroes on TV. I'm looking forward to watching "Superman and Lois" dying a slow death this fall (LOVED that show, but the money people gutted it, so I'm ready to let it go). I think it's a good thing that this will soon be the only current Superman TV show.
