I might wax poetic here and there but I really intend for these videos to just open up discussions about the episodes and hopefully allow you to notice stuff in them that you might not have noticed before.

What a wonderfully intelligent and spiritual interpretation of a profound movie, thank you Sir.
Those final scenes absolutely shattered me. Such a powerful film. Thank you for your expert analysis.
I think it's my most favorite entry and I was surprised to see it rated by commenters on AV Club article about the series. Upon rewatching it I was crying throughtout the entire film. I absolutely loved your illuminating analysis, especially given how Michał understands what happened but wanted Paweł to remain alive in his world and so he delayed his visit to the lake. A part with the blade hanging above Paweł's head was also noticed by me - very eerie. Near school, when his aunt was waiting for him, he was also spending time on the frozen ground which was foreshadowing of the future.
I loved Wojciech Klata as Paweł - couldn't have been lovelier, smarter, more emphatic kid, really, in addition to this big blue eyes. That's why this loss was also devastating to the viewers. Henryk Baranowski as Krzysztof was splendid, even though he wasn't a professional actor (!), unlike his on-screen sister Maja Komorowska - so beautiful in all of her scenes here, even if all but her money scene ("What do you feel?" - "I love you" - 'And he's in it") consist mostly of reaction shots.
I would like to notice that the first syllable of Krzysztof sounds the same as "krzyż" which is Polish for "cross".
The movie is apparently a double retrospection - not only from Irena but also from Artur Barciś - mystery guy by the lake. I'd say it's his most dramatic appearance.
Dude I had no idea anyone could help me understand this show. Thank you so much.
Dekalog is the greatest TV series ever. Rest in peace Mr Kieslowski the great 🎬🖤
When it comes to the art of film this series is on the level of world heritage in my opinion. Its deep, it has meaning like a world class book .
This was great! I can't wait to watch your interpretations. I just finished Dekalog yesterday, and it's something I imagine will grow on me with each subsequent viewing.
excellent excellent analysis. I saw the "I am ready" remark as a way of God saying I am ready for Krzysztof to accept the spiritual side of his nature. The "Iam" being in spiritual and metaphysical terms the name for the spiritual self, other than the human physiological self. It could also ,as you intimated, mean Pawels acceptance at a subconscious level of his acceptance of his own fate. Some part of him knowing his own fate to come. An intriguing analysis of a great film. I am about to watch part two of the Dekalog
Amazing analysis I think you got it...I saw this when I was 11 and it destroyed me just like you ...being polish made 3 times harder...being 38 year old makes it 10 times harder heaving a 9 year old boy ...I appreciate Kieslowski for his genius and for scaring the shit out of me which makes me hold my son that much closer☝️💪🏀
Keep up with the great job my friend. Great content.
Just watched the first episode! Very good film!
This series bears so many striking similarities to the late, great Edward Yang’s Yi Yi. I wonder if Yang was influenced by him.
Wow. Incredible, incredible analysis. Thank you.
In a way,on second viewing it felt not dissimilar from a black mirror episode
Thank you for great analysis....understood new things
Great analysis!
amazing analysis !!
goooooood my frieeeeend
Beautiful commentary
The computer is the false God.
But god did speak thew the computer saying i am ready
This analysis was #real
Kieslowski is one of the Masters
based
This is too intelligent for me.
where can we watch it
Watched all episodes, still did not understand what the guy near the fire represented....any further clue?
He's just an observant i think
I think he was waiting for Pawel. Just like an angel, waiting to bring Pawel to heaven. A God’s worker in a way. Or maybe he was just watching the hole thing, but what intreags me is hes look, he knew what was gonna happen, not in a subconscious way like Pawel, but he actualy knew the hole thing
Wait how did we connect the states of water to the Godhead. I feel like you kinda threw that in without much explanation or context to be honest.
Finally some based cinephiles. Science = cringe
Hit back bro...nyc
