It's going to be a while before I post another "major" video. I may occasionally post matchplay and training in the meantime, but obviously my tennis has a long way to go, even for the rec level. Once I can afford it, I'm going to start again by outsourcing the editing for this channel so I don't have to worry about editing myself. You can check back to see if I uploaded any training/matchplay clips in the meantime.
Dont sleep on the gym time. Im about 175lbs now and the power is night and day from back when I played at 130lbs. If you can keep up the strength training while keeping up court time, more weight = more power = less power needed per shot = more control per shot = more points. Be careful of overtraining, if something hurts rest it properly.
keep it up brother, i’m looking to do the same thing as you! i’d say the toughest part of the journey so far has been financially, as tennis gear and coaching adds up real quick. looking forward to following along!
run atleast 5km per day and follow a controlled diet and you will get so much further with your tennis. Djokervic became a legend of the sport by simply changing his diet after years on tour being injury prone and struggling with his fitness. Otherwise keep it up!!!
you got this brother, can't wait to see your progression! i'm on a similar path and I hope to reach a WTA point in the next handful of years. reach for the sky man!
Bro I was exactly where you were literally a month ago, now I went up 2 utr points in 4 weeks. Keep grinding bro, this dream is fully achievable depending on how hard you push yourself. Good luck brother.
I'll throw some support (subbed) for you! I never made it to the ATP but some of my friends have. It's a tough journey. I hope you can get there! Im routing for you! Out work everyone and set a good training routine... and most of all don't over play... that's one of the keys to it all. You need to find your peak in "flow state" so you can get to it when it counts.
I have a passion for the game so I'll keep trying to improve regardless of the outcome trying to win my time back so i can focus on this full time again
Hey bro, I'm on a similar path as you. 14, 5 utr, and I got a big tournament this weekend. I wish you all the best, and know that I am sharing a very similar path with you, wanting to go pro.
All the very best champ!!! Full support to you!! We would love to see you improve your game and achieve your first atp point! By the name, I assume you are an Indian, a Tamizhan...if true...All the best nanba! Ennoda perum Karthik dhaan! Mass pannunga!
I can't honestly say you're likely to reach the pro level. But I guess you still have 12 years to be as good as you can be and with consistent training and improvement who knows where your ceiling lies. Either way, keep going!
yeah enjoy the game and working on my craft so gonna keep going regardless of what happens why do u say 12yrs tho? because karue restarted pro tennis at 30? just curious
A good advise for your serving double faulting issues, that you introduce a serve routine. Like Roger, Rafa, Thiem, Del Po, ect all of the has one. And they have stages for example stage 1passing the ball between the legs stage 2 bounce 4 times and then serve. Rafa stage 1 bounce the ball with the racket at the same time, stage 2 fix his wedgie, stage 3 adjust his shirt, stage 4 wipes his sweat from the face then serve. Have at least 3 stages if you lost focus too much anything that takes you to not rush to serve. At the beginning you might not like it because you would like to use momentum and rhythm from your previous serve. Avoid this if you want to get better, take your time eventually you going to master it. You need to use it to not to rush the serve and it will give you time to think how to play the next point. If you fault it’s a good idea to have a towel on the back of the fence to clean your sweat. Then comeback and do serve routine. After double fault is also good idea to go to the towel and channel the frustration. Make your own mess up routine and celebration routine it’s very important, fix the strings, couple shadow swings, towel. You can blow your fingers, it does helps a lot, the pros does it all the time, it will help to calm you down at important moments and keep your hands from sweating.
Yes, try to get in a habit, and create your own routines, start with the serve routine, which is the one that you might be facing the problems. You can do x amount of serve with the serve routine. I normally put them to serve a least a hopper everyday with the routine.
Hey man, great to see other people that are kind of in the same situation as me, I had never played tennis before 2022 (I’am 18) and now I am competing, and of course training every day. I’m looking forward to see how you do and hope this can be a space to share or knowledge or anything.
@@KarthikKumaran_Tennis have a tournament next week and will be the last one competing in the junior tour here in the country I’m at. I’ve been wondering what will I do then because I won’t have any local tournaments to play in next year since I turn 19. But I’ll figure something out to keep going forward. Hope you’re doing well.

Love the editing. Can tell you have put hours into the video. Funnily enough, i had the same problem that you had in the backhand side, with it looking very ugly and being very stiff. Unlike your coach tho, mine gave up after several months of trying to teach me the right technique and now Im transitioning to a one hander. I hope you achieve success
Should have taken only a few hours but since it was my first time there were some things I wasn't aware of so it took 2 days of working on it the whole day I think People that started as an adult generally tend to lean towards a one hander I think Whatever you think you will have more success with long term i guess
@@KarthikKumaranMain yeah I agree. Just for me personally i was too focused on power and precision to learn the right technique whereas the one hander just felt alot more fluid since the first time
yeah hopefully can afford to get someone to help me with this channel within a few months yeah having a team behind u is important kinda hard to get someone to have faith in a 18yr old stuck at 3UTR though lol
Yeah I understand, there are people that made their UA-cam videos and been very helpful. This is not an easy career, I have been coaching and to find players that are willing to train seriously regardless their goals it’s difficult to find. Not everyone is willing to do what it needs to be done to be solid and competitive. I have coached kids like you, they are trying to rise their level and trying to play at higher level. I have a player that we trained for 7 months before he started to compete and I believe it took us 3 months to reach 6.5 utr. From this point things has been a roller coaster, players are more difficult more better they feel they not need to train as much as they think because now they have good serve, strokes, etc. I have another he didn’t even know how to hold the racket and in 8 months of training he reached 5.3 utr, he is playing solid for his level, but let the guard down for keeping developing. I have some others in the past performing about the same but they are not longer playing. This takes a lot training discipline, people going to criticizes you, mock on you and telling you all sort of things you don’t want to hear. Try to always do what you need to do for your goals but keep your feet on the ground when to stop before you spend more than you should. It’s very expensive, it’s a huge sacrifice, training has to be prioritized among lot things, you and your team has to designed a workout regime and set goals on short term. I do 3 months short term goals with them.
