I think that over pressure carbon dioxide outlet should have been re-routed through the interior bulk heads to the far end of the bunker so as you maintain air flow through the length of the bunker, wouldn't that have made more sense. Where it is currently, how does carbon dioxide at the far end of bunker get purged, it doesn't.
I had a idea. Make some sort of device where the hand crank on the air filter is a exercise bike. It would be a sort of exercise for people in a bunker

Slight issue with the air system the Lunor is straight from the blower without the filter cartridge connected whereas the 'Rising S' air system is blowing out of the top of the unit which I'd guess also includes the filter cartridge so of course there would be a major difference in noise and airflow.
With everything, I love quality products, no matter what it is, and Atlas is QUALITY all the way, no matter what part of their product it's 100% QUALITY!

Atlas looks like a really good company I will probably get an atlas bunker in 10 years and i feel like rising s bunkers the name sounds like it should be rising stupidest bunkers or something like that. Atlas survival shelters seems like they are 100 times stronger then the rising s bunkers and i dont know who would want a bunker from a criminal if anyone does then they should get it upgraded by atlas survival shelters to everything that atlas survival shelters can do
If you close your eyes and listen to Clyde you can imagine what you see when you open your eyes. Just hearing him talk is enough to make me not want to do business. Another thought. He admits to being a criminal they says you don't know what you'll get if a contractor puts in your atlas bunker. Well for sure you not getting him and his criminal past. Would make a good book though. Guy builds cheap bunkers then during the apocalypse goes and knocks them off 1 by 1 with his jailhouse buddies.
Hope you do a tear down of both Air systems, side by side, and then followed by a Swiss Air systems maintenance and repair of any possible problem one could imagine video, that's downloadable just for the sake of Murphy's law.

# 248 What about a handle for the air exchanger that is like the county living wheat grinder wheel. This would not take up as much room as the current model T engine crank handle. You can also put a fan belt on the grinder wheel and use a bike pedal system to power the air system.
Good idea, but better still would be to add another elbow pointing even further away and making it parallel to the floor, then another short stretch of pipe to get it even further from the intake pipe.
@@muzzlevelocity4397.... I think he is talking about the downstairs over pressure blast valve pipe. Instead of a short elbow near the ceiling, I thought they would have made the extension go lower as Ron says that is better since that gas is heavier and sinks.
If you added an extention pipe to the elbow adaptor for the co2 output. You could get it near the floor where it really needs to be. But sadly you can't fix everything else that's wrong with that bunker without digging it up and starting over.
Making his on air filtration system isn't the flex that he thinks it is, something like that you want an expert outside company that specializes in air filtration to make it.
Instead of just switching the one air pipe around couldn't you also extend the air intake pipe so it is pulling in fresh air from a higher point to avoid the settling CO2?
just wondering...if the door isnt air tight then wouldnt it make the overflow air valve useless if it works on the assumption that the air pressure would build up from the inside which would probably never happen since the air would evenly slip in and out of the door anyway?

Great work as usual, and gamma protection for the escape hatch is great, but there is still nothing to protect the stair well from gamma except the steel that is inadequate alone and another flimsy Rising S*** door. Not much can be done, I know, but the owner needs to consider a real Atlas shelter and look at that one as a now adequate storm shelter, but no bomb shelter.

So how are you supposed to boil water in your shelter for making food? I can't afford a shelter but I am doing some emergency prepping with food and water. Plus I'm going to get a gas generator and some other essentials. Thanks to Ron's advice I keep supplies in our vehicles so that we will be ok up to a full day regardless of the time of year.

Ron it was nice that you could help this guy, but to be honest, what you did was put lipstick on a pig. Your shelters are much better design. I worked Disaster Preparedness when I was in the military and I whole heartedly approve of your bunkers. IN my humble opinion, Rising S bunkers are deathtraps and I pity the poor folks who bought them.
Great job Ron, but I would be careful of what changes you make to another companies bunkers like this. I think you did all you could safely, but I’d be worried about liability if something happened to him or another customer. That company can argue your changes destabilized their products regardless of any video or photographic evidence you have. They can claim it was superficial and not detrimental until you touched it. What I would have done is bit the bullet and just replaced this mans bunker completely free if charge. Then you would get good press for it and you could take Rising S’s bunker back to your factory completely unchanged to use as a show case of just how shitty and dangerous their work is. Videos about them are great and reveal a lot, but seeing it in person would make a nail in RS’s coffin.
I’m sure he doesn’t have an editor, does all the commentary to each video. Would be interesting to see the content they could pump out if he hired someone to edit and manage his media.
