This is very similar to something that happened to us one afternoon after school when I was 11 or 12. While we were at FedMart (formerly Globe) on Woodridge. A bad storm came through and the power went out just as we were checking out. Man I remember hearing all the screams as the lights went out from people further back in the store. I watched as some guy walked out and tried to run to his car but was stopped by all the wind and the rain whipping around. He comes back in yelling that a tornado was passing over the store.
Here in Arizona during our summer monsoon season the same thing happened to me and my teenage son as we were leaving with our cart. People were all bottle necked at the exit while it poured buckets. Finally just went for it and got totally drenched!
Why would people be stupid and go out in public when there is the threat of a tornado. Although I do think being in a large store would probably be one of the safest places to be.
I remember a few years back we had a storm roll throw Ohio, it was a rolling shelf cloud. Boy that thing done some damage l was cutting up tree's for a couple of months. ✌️
Idk why I like it when we go to the mall or going shopping at the grocery store and suddenly a storm just kicks in. I experienced this a lot before and somehow gives me nostalgia. Although I don’t think you would be safe in the doorframe while the winds are blowing into the building lol
Had a family friend tragically pass in front of her kids. A tree limb went through there deck and front window. She saved her kids, she was a hero. Stay safe guys your family doesn't want to lose you over a storm.
I can't believe that people would try to go out in that kind of weather. If I need to go somewhere I wait until the storm passes. I don't need anything that bad!
I used to live in Alvin, Tx hurricanes and tornados have always ripped through the area pretty bad. All that wind coming from Galveston really has that area in a storm clutch. Hope everyone is safe and able to get to a safe place.
This is crazy. As someone from Dixie Alley (deep south tornado alley) if you know, you know. Weather like this is a "get to the middle of a building" weather (there's no basements in Dixie Alley.) We don't play with this. It's one of the major reasons there's not a lot of deaths or injuries when tornadoes occur here. Been through so many tornadoes it isn't funny and everyone is on the alert. Walmarts usually have backup generators so for lights to go out.. that's a bad sign lol.

That, and walking outside in a thunderstorm holding a METAL shopping cart! Just saying. ⚡⚡⚡⚡
Omg you have a point there
@@bbashn 😂😂😂😂😂

Those people shouldn't have been going outside during this storm it's very dangerous
Yes definitely
That is some serious rain and wind. Kind of scary.
Yes lol
I am always amazed at the customers who go running out to the car when tornado sirens are going off and I am showing them the radar telling them there is a tornado warning.
They don't get scared and take things seriously until the patio umbrellas become projectiles.
Wow, people don't take weather seriously until the weather becomes really bad
No tornado sirens in Alvin, TX.
I hope everybody was alright
@@JohnnysVlogz thankfully we were all ok
that's wonderful
Here in Arizona during our summer monsoon season the same thing happened to me and my teenage son as we were leaving with our cart. People were all bottle necked at the exit while it poured buckets. Finally just went for it and got totally drenched!
Oooof
Why would people be stupid and go out in public when there is the threat of a tornado. Although I do think being in a large store would probably be one of the safest places to be.
Yeah I think so too
Cause some people are so used to that kind of weather it doesn't really phase them that much any more.
I remember a few years back we had a storm roll throw Ohio, it was a rolling shelf cloud. Boy that thing done some damage l was cutting up tree's for a couple of months. ✌️
Damn
I am pretty sure I would just stay put.
I bet
Idk why I like it when we go to the mall or going shopping at the grocery store and suddenly a storm just kicks in. I experienced this a lot before and somehow gives me nostalgia. Although I don’t think you would be safe in the doorframe while the winds are blowing into the building lol
Had a family friend tragically pass in front of her kids. A tree limb went through there deck and front window. She saved her kids, she was a hero. Stay safe guys your family doesn't want to lose you over a storm.
Yea we don't want anybody to lose their lives over a storm
I can't believe that people would try to go out in that kind of weather. If I need to go somewhere I wait until the storm passes. I don't need anything that bad!
True
Perfect example of the calibur of people who shop at Walmart. Miracles of modern science every one of them.
Lol
I used to live in Alvin, Tx hurricanes and tornados have always ripped through the area pretty bad. All that wind coming from Galveston really has that area in a storm clutch. Hope everyone is safe and able to get to a safe place.
We are all safe
I live in Webster,Tx right down the street from you guys
Fantastic
This is crazy. As someone from Dixie Alley (deep south tornado alley) if you know, you know. Weather like this is a "get to the middle of a building" weather (there's no basements in Dixie Alley.) We don't play with this. It's one of the major reasons there's not a lot of deaths or injuries when tornadoes occur here. Been through so many tornadoes it isn't funny and everyone is on the alert.
Walmarts usually have backup generators so for lights to go out.. that's a bad sign lol.
Walmart always have backup generator
I never was in a tornado but one time one tornado went over my house but did not touch down but touched down 14 blocks away it sounds like a train in a tunnel ! Scary !
That sounds very scary
You should check out my main channel adventuregamingvital
If a tornado goes over your house, and you can hear it, and it sounds like a freight train, then you were "in" the tornado.
@@HAUNTED-DOLL It never touched down but hit 14 blocks away . So I could not of been in a tornado as it never touched down by me did 14 blocks away they said !
Reminds me of some of the storms we've had in the past in my hometown!! Rain coming down so hard you can't even see out your windshield!!!!
I know that first sure
@@JohnnysVlogz Oh it very definitely is!! I've had the fun & enjoyment of trying to get to work in those kinds of storms!!!!
it always feels so surreal seeing these places dark before the emergency lights kick in
When that power went out. I wonder did people start stuffing their pockets....lol 😂🤣🤣😆😂♥️♥️
Now I'm curious😂
That girl turning around to shop some more was smart
Yeah I know😂
Thank you for sharing! When lights go out it is never a good sign, especially in a business such as Walmart that should have back up generators.
Your welcome
Well Jessica I'm sure that Walmart does have a generator or two but it probably takes a few minutes for the switch over!
I don't think I would be standing that close to the doors or risking running outside if I seen wind like that. No thank you.
At least these comments have common sense
Assistant manager over PA:
"We need all available associates for cart round up."
Also Walmart: "only one cart pusher"
Thanks for taking the time to post this 🦃
Your welcome
Standing by windows in high winds is exactly what Walmart people would be doing

2:42 LMFAOOO that one guy walking into Walmart with an umbrella like if it was just a normal regular windy day 😂😂💀💀

That poor woman was saying she's scared (I don't blame her) and she was persuaded to leave the store anyhow. Never ignore your gut! (or an obvious tornado) lol
That's the first thing that caught my attention is when the lady said she was scared
That's so cool!! I know for many people it's not, but I'm fascinated by storms, would love to visit USA sometime and chase tornados
Lol
Aliens in space rn: "ok guys today we are gonna be learning how to change the weather oh no no no wrong button jimmy"
Haha
The lady saying your staying at my house is a real sweetheart
I know
I find storms like this so fascinating as long as nobody gets hurt
True
People should not be trying to leave during that. That's just crazy!
They are crazy bruh
Ikr, I'd just go back in there and get some snacks and go chill somewhere with the beanbags and read a book 😆
@@Sharibaby80 I have ran into a situation like that before and I just waited it out. Thankfully it was cold enough (winter time) standing near the doors that my perishable groceries were okay. No way was I going to try & load groceries straight line winds & downpour rain.
I know that for sure
Wow you could hear the wind screaming faintly but it's there. And I've lived in the panhandle, and Southern end of TX. I know how bad a normal storm can get. I hope ya'll are safe.
Stay safe
That is crazy! Why would you want to leave the store when it is that bad? Better yet...why would you attempt to drive your car home in those strong winds?
It's best to stay Inside until the weather clears up
I rather die on the road then in a Walmart
Haha
Wow . I live in Canada, and it's wild how all Walmart's look the same....I mean everything, is identical
Everything looks identical lol
Now this is 1 Cool Video !!! 👍🏻
Thank you
The standing in front of the doors in the beginning (and not you guy, the lady) drove me crazy. All that water pouring in. It was like watching one of my kids stand there with the refrigerator door open. Lol
Big oof lol
Damn, that looks fun! Certainly a day to remember!
What’s most crazy is all these people knew there was going to be an intense storm but still decided they’re going to casually go shopping at Walmart anyway
Yeah that is so true
You know it's never okay to be near the doors or near anything that's metal as lighting can actually strike you.
I know
@@JohnnysVlogz 👍
Gotta love storms in Texas … well im in Wisconsin but its still good to watch.
yeah, very interesting to watch.
Smart man Johnny. Better to stay inside. It's not like you could see driving through that storm. 👍
I appreciate your response, stay positive👍
I lived in Alvin in the mid 90s. How random. Cool video!
Thank you
Was this during Hurricane Nicholas? Whatever the case, I completely missed this.
It looked insane in the first half, though. I definitely wouldn't want to be there during a power outage.
Glad you're safe.
Well I don't remember since I had this video for 3 months and I don't keep track of harricane.
Stand in front of the doors so the sensor can keep it open. Very important during pouring rain and tornado.
Haha
I live very close but I usually use the other closet Walmart because this one is always loaded with to many people to me because of my very bad anxiety . The one in pearland near Home Depot is a hidden gem to me not to many people go in the morning
Thanks for sharing

Lightning outside and brainiac decides to go out under an umbrella. He may not get wet but he sure may get fried
True facts bro
Nothing stops a Walmart shopper on a mission!
Lol
Really smart. Running out with a umbrella in a lightning storm
Yea I want to get striked
I love storms. That rain told me it's not just a storm.
Lol
I'd be headed to the bedding dept...get myself set up to spend the night...perhaps grab a tent too
Lol I love that😂
Devoted Walmart Greeter, posted like a true Walmart Champ🌪🏆
That's the truth. The Walmart greeter is a really nice lady❤️
@@JohnnysVlogzAnd really Brave!!
Heck yea
That is so scary hope every one is safe
Everybody is ok
Yep stay in close to Alvin. It was scary during Nicolas. My first hurricane and it was just a C 1 I believe.
Ooof
Awesome Video Man !!! 👍🏻
I am member when we had very much pour down rain at Walmart we got stuck there till one time that this happened two years ago
Sorry for your experience
Did I miss something? I didn’t see or hear any tornado! And what fence?? No fence!
well I didn't get a recording of the damage though. I wish I would of though.
Figure of speech lol
I work as a cart pusher and had a similar experience when North California had a bad storm come through this October.
Yea, it's terrible being out there.
Tornado- concern. Lightning- concern.
Umbrella with Lightning- a definite no-no!
