Pretty sweet video. Seems very helpful especially for newcomers of this great game. The only mod I'd add personally is Jedi Customisation Plus by Spanki. Having a wide array of playermodels with a more traditional Jedi look is one of the best ways to go for me personally.

You should do a video of the best custom character mods, you'd be surprised how hard it is to just have a guy with green eyes and no beard.

the only modding you will ever need is to instal Movie Duels or Knights of the Force, and Movie Battles for Multiplayer.
Yea other than that not too many notable mods unlike Jedi Outcast
MB2 has most unrealistick blocks system, even red style became useless.
If you get the mod for extra quests don’t go to the Okofo mission, you have to use noclip in order to get to any part of the map and there are no checkpoints, and no objectives
Also, there is one spot on the map that if you walk into it, because it looks like the way forward, you die
I know some Star Wars fan may dislike it but the bloody dismemberment and Realistic body mod adds so much satisfaction to every kill, I can hardly imagine playing vanilla after trying it.
Same. I need them on in order to even play them. Doesn't make much sense without it
@@Kelphelp sadly they didn't function properly with Enhanced effects/Realistic blade mod for me so I had to remove that. Still a worthy sacrifice though!
If I may make a suggestion: Star Wars: Galactic Legacy. Give it a try and see how you like it.

for Jedi academy. It’s a spiritual successor to knights of the force if you remember that mod. You can create your own little scenarios with characters from various parts of the Star Wars franchise. There’s also custom made missions to play if you want a more campaign like experience. When set up you can play Jedi outcast in our mod and there’s a new game plus mode too if you want a more challenging experience. @@BasilBonehead I was just looking into the (few) videos that there are of Galactic Legacy, and seeing that Outcast Footage with improved saber glow really sealed the deal for me - I will go through that mod tomorrow! One question though: Seeing as this is meant to be a perfecting of the Jedi Knight experience, is there or will there be any way to increase projectile speed (i.e. the speed at which laser blasts travel through the air) via this mod?? I know that source code was leaked, and there’s reimplementations of the engine with OpenJK, but there’s very little discussion about this. For me, this is the single biggest deal breaker about Academy/Outcast, that makes me go on huge hiatuses without touching those games.
@@Kelphelp Only one of the greatest mods for this game, and honestly the one I see as having the most potential.
Games like Tomb Raider 1-5, Thief TDP/Gold, Thief 2: The Metal Age, the Doom franchise, The Dark Mod, the Delta Force series, Call of Duty and Battlefield have great mods. But, now you can add the Star Wars Jedi Knight series to the list of the best PC games for mods and custom creations as well. All of these games I mentioned have so many great mods that it will take you literally days, weeks or even months to discover them all!

Another mod to recommend for this and Jedi Outcast is DSOAL. It allows you to utilize EAX sound without the need of a Creative Sound Card

I am actually also putting together various mods to the game again trying to make it a nice singleplayer experience. :-) And this one I can recommend, it compares a bit to the ENB Series and is a total overhaul of the Graphics ingame (Lighting, Shadows, Bloom, FOV etc.)

If i can suggest the mod from Jedi Knight Jedi Academy. Its Star Wars Movie Duels, it allows you to play the Missions from the Star Wars Movies and the JKA and JKO campaign with the new Engine. Soon there will be a new update with many new animations for the models. Maybe you can give it a try =)

Been playing through movie duels 2, its pretty cool but playing through the campaign for Jedi Academy is kinda buggy

I want to apply the disintegration effect to lightsabers so enemies and the player character can be disintegrated upon death by lightsaber.

Hmmmmm I could, but tbh I've been having such a difficult time getting Jedi Knight 2 to run on Win11 to the point I bought a Win95 PC just to play it

Does anyone know how to use an Xbox One controller for this on PC? I can't map the buttons on Steam. For some reason they do not carry over to the game.
This game isn't a PC controller game however you can map controls using JoyToKey. It's what I use
where i can get the patch for jk3 ? i dont remember modbase for jk3....
Check the description. If you have steam copy you don't need it.

@@Kelphelp YES i always check them and the thing is i never had problem with instaling mods on any other games(like battlefront 2)
Don't know what to tell ya tbh. You aren't giving me enough info. Try a clean install and install them. It should work if not you are doing something wrong
@@Kelphelp i did this too look i have the 1.01a gog version of jedi academy and i instaled mods in gamedata it didnt work i tried to do it on base folder it didnt work i tried many mods for example i tried movie duals i tried movie battles 2 they wont lunch in my main game exe and even when i launch their exe they will freeze

What the hell is this guy talking about? Did he seriously include a fucking FONT mod as a must have for this game? Who could possibly care about the font in a video game? Unless it got in the way or was too small to read?
Prolly cuz there are some people who genuinely have problems looking at font due to eye strain, illegibility etc. I mean if you don't like the list then that's on you. Think you are the only person who thinks a font mod is dumb. Which is actually a dumb reaction
