Fintastic Lure Fishman. I fish for giant Rainbow Trout on Vancouver Island BC at the local lake. With the right fly which I tye catches the biggest one's consistently almost as if I had the only lure in the lake. It's heavelly fished but I'm 1st on the lake and watch them come and go. I like showing off so enjoy the other Fisher's. Even if they cut me off like it's a war. Just pull my line in and let it out which is when I catch many. All the Giants any trout over 7lbs.have been when I have a good distance from others though. Awesome channel good for you.

I tried to build a similar rig over the last couple of years but could never get the weight right. Scared more fish than I caught. Looks like you have cracked the code, Just bought a heap, will share photos of what I get.

@@mylurebox I'm not sure if it was luck or skill or a bit of both John. We couldn't find the live bait. They were no where to be seen, so things initially looked bleak. We then made the decision to drop the hard bodies. Ramped up the speed of the divers to around 18 and up to 20kms per hour hoping to entice a bite. The result, an Incredible session which put us back at the ramp by 8.30.
@@CoastfishTV mate is just brilliant fishing. Changing tactics on the fly and getting it done is so rewarding. Well done 👍

firstly mate, huge congrats. they look awesome with really nice colors. John ur page(page looks awesome mate)tells me its 225cm, but is the plastic elastech or the harder plastic n also the weight of the Soft Glide. before u even spoke my first thought was winter murray cod in the dams. bring it from the shallows into the 4m depth range. the rivers will work as well especially the rivers i fish r pretty much in that few meters depth range with plenty of rock structure. as u said barra n jewfish will be all over them as well n then theres outside as well. one other thing mate r u going to make a 100 or 120 version as well, i think u will know why i am asking mate. the red head Soft Glide doesnt get a run John. congrats.

They’re really brilliant lures John. 3 packs are coming my way, I can’t wait for them to arrive. I totally agree re that they’ll catch heaps offshore. They’ll be snapper, jewie and kingfish candy. Are you looking at doing them in a dogs “bits” bright pink? I’m absolutely frothin’ in anticipation of what I’m hoping to catch with them.

@@mylurebox It’s not the first time I’ve had to pink dip a whiting……..no wait, that sounds really really wrong! The Red Head colour I saw on your boat would be a Spotty mackerel and tuna magnet when casting to bait schools getting busted up. Damn John there are soooo many applications for this lure.

Hey mate love the new lures any chance you could design one that has garfish point on front in future no one really makes any garfish style I've been adding my own garfish nose and glueing them on myself and it is slaying the big flathead

your videos are very good and very professional but we need to know how many cm is all of your lures sometimes we need 4.5 inches or 5-6 inches. Thank you again
Thanks Larry. My Soft Glides come in a 24cm only at the is stage. More to come towards the end of the year.
Congrats John on the lure, looking forward to trying out some. Flathead and Jewies are my favourite targets from the kayak in my local areas. Interested in which scent you're using there - haven't seen that bottle shape in the tackle shop.

Just had two packs arrive. Tried them out today for the first time……. Managed a couple of strikes but pulled hooks unfortunately…….. is it still worth targeting these big fish in summer on the tweed??

Hi Matt. Thanks mate ;) I love to fill it full of either S-Factor or Sax scent. I’ve had great results with both of those. There’s certainly others I’ll have to give a go and test out too.

I run a 3000 Shimano Vanford on a 8’3 3-5kg Shimano Hard Rocker BB rod with 10lb braid and 20lb leader.
