The Qashqai appears a worthy winner but why wasn't the 1.5 litre Kamiq used in this comparison? It seems the more appropriate choice given the competition.
Great video but can the new Qashqai really be considered a 'small' SUV these days? I know there's probably a cut-off for official sizes, but the Kamiq is 1793mm wide and the Qashqai is 1835mm wide. it's closer in size to the RAV4 than it is to the Kamiq and HR-V.
Bit of a strange comparison. The SUV's are quite big, while the Kamiq is still the smallest. Looking up the prices, if you want all 4 cars to be relatively the same in terms of equipment/luxury, the other cars are about 10K to 15K more expensive than the Kamiq. Thats a bit insane.
@@normanafif1268 Thats your opinion and every one can pick what they like and yes its not for everyone but got to add I have a atmos CC. And I love it.
Yes, well, BUT what does Nissan + CVT equate too? From what history tells us it equates to an eventual Transmission Failure. It is not a question of IF, it is a question of WHEN. Most Nissan CVTs have failed, some quickly, some not so quickly. We must always remember that these kinds of car awards do not take reliability, dependability and cost of ownership into account. I will consider Nissan once it provides me a minimum 10 years unlimited km warranty.
@@Hawks2015 Just wait for them to get their crystal ball. Seriously, I don't understand why people whinge that a reviewer doesn't mention reliability. It's a brand new model. Neither you nor them know how reliable it's going to be. Nissan have worked on their cvt and its reliability so there is no saying that it's even going to be a problem. Only time will tell.
I agree, but I most say the new ones have picked up their game massively. While I would say they lack the reliability of Hyundai or Subaru, they have massively improved compared to their counterparts over a decade ago.
I know that they made a major change in this CVT by adding an additional oil pump to it, like this it will be able to cool easier and it gives you a bit more responsiveness
Do you even know how many cvt cars Nissan has sold? Millions of Millions. Where did you see a failed Nissan on road. Both Qashqai and Xtrail are top sellers in many countries.
Nissan 1.3 l engine in the Qashqai is ok, but not great in terms of economics. In higher temps its alright but in winter in Europe or on the highway it starts to sip a lot of fuel...the 1.5 l from the VW parts bin is much better in that regard...what's good about the Nissan engine is it's refinement and damping in the Qashqai...much better than the noisy 1.5 in the Tiguan e.g.
The Nissan Qashqai has considerably been improved by Quality and Outfit besides the good design and look. It is now very competitive with the worldwide increasing numbers of SUV resp.Crossovers. Well done, Nissan.
Because of the higher price points of Cupra's range, we've included them with the luxury SUV categories they line up with in Australia. You can find out more at: www.drive.com.au/drive-car-of-the-year/2023/best-small-luxury-suv-2023/
A small turbocharged engine and a Jatco CVT is Drive car of the year. You have got to be joking. I think the Drive judges need an engineering lesson and a history lesson in automotive reliability.
Mitsubishi xforce, outlander,is the best, test comparison in the track race circuit for long time at least speeding for 4 hours non stop the winner is the best champions
They are in the price range of the Skoda Karoq. And the Karoq especially 2.0 turbodiesel 4x4 150 hp is like in different categorie from the trashy toy cars from the video

Agreed itsnot a small SUV.

My pick is the corolla cross ❤
The styling is pretty ugly in my opinion. The rear lights remind me of the early 00s Camry wagon 😂

The waiting time is concerning
@@Nobrainer19073. So is the min $3000 price hike as of end of July as I discovered today when I checked one out .
Boot capacity info please ! For 2024 video thanks
Buen trabajo, felicidades. Durante las pruegas del Kamiq habeis notado crujidos o ruidos extraños en salpicadero o habitaculo, gracias
JATCO CVT in the Nissan is a firm no. The Corolla Cross hybrid is a highly competitive, faster, and more reliable choice.
Good video and test, what is the name of the color of the Nissan qashqai in the test
Qashqai ❤🎉
These guys must be paid by Nissan.
Nope, editorially independent.

100% agree, they should also talk about brand reliability. Not just test driving and marking it against set superficial parameters.

The new Qashqai is a brilliant car. A well deserved win 🥇
If the Cherokee fixed the transmission, the trailhawk should be the best
Not really a common drive in Australia though, is it
I love the look of the Honda but I agree with the winner selected

I love like best suv 2023 Nissan QASHQAI TI
well done Nissan i like it, but i'm a Ford man sorry..good job guys great vid once again..
kamiq is in the wrong competition here, that makes no sense: karoq would be right, or kamiq vs juke vs yaris cross
As you are judging vehicles, an indipendent professional mechanics' assessment should have been in consideration.

Cars come in such boring colours these days.
Would you like grey or grey? hehe
Honda colour isn't boring, it has a pearl effect doing golden réflexions under the sun, and it's white
I was user of 23 Nissan for almost half year. One of most awful and unpractical cars ever used by me.
Why? Which car have u bought?
Kamiq Monte Carlo head and shoulders best
This is one of the worst car reviews i have seen.
Haha Nissan. Pile of crap
