Svengali + R&S = Mirage deck
Yep!! I would rather just buy a Mirage deck than spray a Svengali. Same with a Mental photo deck as they are both pretty cheap here in England.

Fantastic as usual, I want to use this trick asap my first svengali deck worked with the two of diamonds, funny how you remember things, when I spray the cards I can put my CV mask to good use.😁

Anyone have suggestions on what card trick book is best to learn tricks and what trick decks I should get. Just wanting to have some fun with the kids
There was a discussion in the Penn and Teller video and we were all sure Hedne did it with a double pack of thin cards with the same number written on 52 cards and the other 52 being all the same number and suit. Looks like we were pretty spot on.

JUst buy a mirage deck much simpler and cheaper.
Before looking the method: Brilliant trick, I am not 100% sure how it can work...obviously you forced the cards, I am not sure how ?
After Method view: clever idea..
A mirage deck could also be used as well.
I was going to mention this as a Mirage deck is a roughed Svengali deck. I much prefer a Mirage deck as you can spread the deck to show all different cards. I spread my Mirage deck to a spectator and ask them to touch one of the cards. They do this and I cut the remaining cards to the bottom. They look at the card, it goes back on the top of the deck and is then cut in. Then I spread again and ask if they could find their card by guessing and touching one again. Once they touch a card, I put it to the bottom of the deck and ask them what their card was. When they tell me, I turn the deck over to show their card......leaving their card on the bottom I then say "Not only have I found your card, but I've managed to change the whole deck to match your card!!" I flick through the cards to show a full deck of "Their" card. At first they say "Wow" and then the penny drops that I am using a deck with 52 cards that are the same. Then I just take their card off the bottom and show them, saying it was done by magic. I then put their card back on the top and turn the deck over and fan them to show that all cards are different. It has never failed to really impress people even though the routine is simple and great if I'm just showing one quick routine.
