Awesome, thank you! Keep up the passion of adventure!
It’s been 20 years since I’ve been in Berlin. I stayed at a hostel in east Berlin. The street lights were still dim at night. I went to a hippy bar where only the ground floor was habitable. I loved the park where you can walk between the two stations. I also loved the old bombed church, library, reichstag, brandenberg gate, and the radio tower and the lion statue.
Fascinating to hear about your experience! It sounds like you got to visit during the heart of its transition years.
Berlin is famous for its many museums such as the Dahlem Museums, the Egyptian Museum, the Berlin Cultural Forum with the New National Gallery, and the Museum of Arts and Crafts. Other postwar institutions are the Brücke-Museum, the Berlin Museum, the Museum of Transport and Technology, and the Jewish Museum Berlin.
I so desperately want to move to Berlin. I love that city. It was the first place I went to as an adult with a friend, and it was my first solo trip destination in 2019. I cannot wait to go back
That is great to hear!
Harriet and I spent a lot of time in the Deutschland over the years and every time we visit; we always find new places to explore. The food, nightlife and museums etc.. It's endless. Thanks again for bringing back the wonderful memories. Sending you lots of love😍😍 Harriet and Jim. Richmond, Va.
That is fantastic to hear! We find the more we visit Germany the more we discover and want to do on the next trip. So many fascinating towns to visit aside from just the big cities.

Another awesome video. I looked up where you guys were staying and it was on the other side of Berlin where we had stayed. We stayed in an area near the KeDeWe, the big shopping store and the Kaiser Wilhelm Church. Next time we'll have to check out that side of Berlin more.
Thank you very much! The fascinating thing about a city like Berlin is you could base yourself in a total different neighbourhood each visit.
This is awesome! A couple years back I lived in Kreuzberg; it's very cool to see you in places I've experienced myself for a change!
Very cool! It was fun visiting your neighbourhood!
Beautiful tour! I love Berlin. I hope to go back to this wonderful city one day:)
Thank yoU! Hope you can soon.
Wonderful. My first ever European landfall was Berlin...only for a day or two... (not long after the wall came down) Would love to return. My father was born there too... :-)
Thanks! That is wonderful to hear. Hope you can soon.
Great video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
Thank you both for this video! I've been trying to figure out new things to do when my husband and I head to Berlin this Spring! You guys are always who we turn to for travel tips! Much appreciated! Be safe!
Thanks Sarah! Exciting to hear that you'll be visiting in a few months. Wish you both a great trip.
In German we'd call "Schnitzelbelly" a "Schnitzelfriedhof" which literally translates to "Schnitzelgraveyard". Like if you wanna tease someone who has obvious belly fat in a lovely way :D I always do that to my dad hehe.
Loved this video and hope everything on your tour went smoothly!
Hahaha...that is funny! Yeah, I can totally understand that. They are just so tasty and irresistible. I almost had one for each place we visited.
Haha, I've just arrived home from a weekend in Berlin and had a brilliant time, walking and bus tours of the sights, Christmas markets and a Hertha Berlin football match. Such a fascinating city with so much history. Will definitely be back sometime. 👍
Hello hello you guys!!
It Is so nice see you again!!
Very interesting city so beutifull and so much history.
Excelent vlog!!
Greetings from Buenos Aires.
Thank you! We hope you enjoy this tour across Berlin. Wishing you a great weekend! 😊
Amazing Berlin, I love this city !!! GREat
Thanks Marcela!
Berlin is such a cool fun artsy city. Looks like you two had a blast. No pizza? What happened? 😁
Hahaha...maybe our longest stretch without pizza ever! Thanks!
I throughly enjoy the content you wonderful people make available! As usual your tour was a gastronomical wonderland. I thought Audrey's comment about her beer preference was interesting since my wife does not enjoy beer at all, but she does like the Belgian Lambics (fruit based beer). You might be able to sample them in your adventures.
Thank you so much! We'll have to try the Belgian Lambics sometime! Thanks for the recommendation.
Beatiful trip, guys. I've heard a berliner radio reporting a couple in bikes going the wrong way in transit after a few beers. (Ha Ha). I don't know if you're still in Berlin, but really near to the south it's Wittenberg, famous university city and the place where Martin Luther lived. There you have the schlosskirche (the castle church), in whose old wooden doors Luther nailed his 95 thesis against Indulgence Selling (now they are metallic, sorry, spoiler alert), the way the Vatican financed the construction of Saint Peter Basilica. If you're planning going south to Bayern, and if you're in for renting a car, the best way it's starting from Mannheim/Heidelberg up to Munich. all the villages along the route are amazing. You could also do it in train, but it's not the same. Godspeed.!!
Seriously, how many beers have u had on this trip? 🤣. I much enjoy your videos, thank you very much. Greetings from Germany
LOL, minimum one per destination. We've gotta sample what the locals are drinking! 😉🍺
i was in berlin solo in feb 2020, right before the pandemic hit. crazy how much has changed. loved the city... i had charlottenburg palace to myself, which was awesome.
It feels like travel pre-pandemic was another lifetime ago.
Lovely video :). Thanks for visiting. It was lovely to having you. Best regards and hopefully see you soon.
beautiful city of Berlin:)
Thanks LeAny! We loved being back!
Great tour, we are leaving California for Germany tomorrow and just praying they don't fully lockdown.
All the best with that!
Hola !
Muchas gracias Adrian!
Great video as always guys love the beer but loved the food even more. Next time please film some dogs or cats again they make your video's even more pleasant to watch.
Thanks Bianca! We'll be on the lookout for friendly four legged creatures to film in future videos.
Leberkäse is also very popular in Austria as a quick snack 😃
Fascinating to hear! Is something you'd have anytime of day?
4:35-4:36 I never knew you two actually LIVED in Berlin, or even in Germany!
Waaay back in the day...maybe around 2014?! It was a brief stint.
Nice video of what we can do in Berlin, Greetings from Argentina
Thanks so much Juan!
Thanks Audrey&Sam for another cool video. I love the craft beers from BRLO - luckily our local supermarket sells them. The BRLO "Naked" IPA is the only alcohol-free beer I know that is really great and deserves the name "beer".
Thanks Enzio! Oh, that is so cool! We'll have to try the naked IPA sometime!
Hoping to see some Christmas markets!!
Thanks Patricia! Unfortunately, we visited a month ago before they were open. Would love to experience a Christmas market in Europe someday.
Hi Guys,
Thank you so much for sharing these great adventures.
Thank you very much Michael! We had a lot of fun creating this Germany series.
thank you for this video. What a beautiful and cosmopolitan city that is Berlín
Thanks Ana!
Awesome video, loved the tour..... Covid is making a comeback, stay safe my friends. Love & respect from Bangladesh
Thank you! Fortunately we did this over a month ago.
Nice video guys I also loved Berlin when I was there 4 years ago😀😀😀
Thank you so much Effie! Would you like to go back again someday?
I took a bike tour in Berlin and started from the same spot as you. Bicycles are the best way to get around Berlin.
That is great to hear! Did you cover a lot of ground that day?
@Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos I took a Jewish history tour and it was great, because there were many places that were impossible to find by myself.
Glad to see you guys had such a good time in Berlin and were able to cover so much ground. The reality is you can easily go again, even very soon and discover new, cool places and things to do you never knew existed. That's the kind of city it is. If you haven't done before definitely go on on a tour of the Bundestag glass dome and preferably in the evening. It's free of charge (just have to register/reserve a time slot in a little booth in front of the building to the right when you're facing it). You will see the structure itself is absolutely amazing and the cityscape seen from there is to die for. Let's not forget that while walking up the spiral you get to look down directly into the main assembly chamber of the German parliament. ✌️🐻🇩🇪 Did you know as well that the Germans refer to Berlin sometimes as "Wo der Baer tanzt"? ... 😉🕺🙃
Thank you very much! Love that suggestion. You're so correct about being able to revisit Berlin and discover something new. It is a dynamic ever evolving city and with so many unique neighbourhoods something to offer each and every visit.
Thanks guys for showing vegan restaurants. I love that you have expanded that into your food tours.
You're welcome! We've had a few requests for vegan food in the comments so we try to include that every now and again. 😊🌿
After watching your video I've decided to do a bike tour when I travel to Berlin next September. I clicked on bike link below. Which tour did you take. Are bikes and gear included in price? Thank you for the fun tour!
Thanks Sam! The tour is Berlin on Bike and our guide was Oleg. Great experience overall!
We are going to Berlin in a few weeks, and I think the bike tour is a good idea. By the way, i was about to pick Circus Hotel, but waited for two days to book. When I checked again it was already sold out. Must be really a popular choice . :)

Hi, Berlin is one if my favorites cities. What is the name of the place where you had the veg currywurst ?
That was Ketels Wurstspezialitäten in Kreuzberg. Enjoy!
@@samuelandaudrey Thanks
Beautiful video of awesome Berlin......visited 2 years back so it was nice to see again like this....one correction: Palak paneer, naan, rice, pappad are all Indian food and not Indonesian....
I haven’t been to Berlin since I was a baby. My Mom is half German and grew up in Kreuzberg. That is the neighborhood I want to see most
Do you know where you went for the Turkish dish and the German tapas? I would love to try them when I go with my fiancée on our honeymoon in January.
Id love a bike tour in March if possible? I lived in Augsburg 2 years but never got out 🥲. No beer for me though
Great video you guys! What is the restaurant called at 14:45?? - been searching for food like that there for ages!! x
You should visit Turkey. I'd like to see you experiencing Turkish cuisine more on this channel. I love your content , greetings from Turkey
Thanks Gonca! Would love to do that!
Audrey & Sam your are amazing travellers, love love all the vlogs. Hope both your families are well.
Thank you very much Pat! Same to you!
welcome to germany .I live un germany since 5years the language is very difficult
Gracias Horacio.
going to Germany this week! thanks so much for the vid!
I will be staying in Berlin for a month this March I can’t wait!
I'd love to do beer & food pairings with a "beer sommier"!
East Berlin ist better than west .. I love Friedrichshain, Köpenick,Kreuzberg, Lichtenberg
Really good upload. Interesting and helpful.
Thanks Berk!
nice

Where did you eat the Indian Street Food?
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
She talks all the time, far too much !

Hola Samuel y Audrey! Ahí estuvo mi esposa hace unos 15 años viajo con jóvenes de su Iglesia, Evangélica Valdense! Conservo una foto con esa torre característica...a seguir viajando, queridos! 👏👏✋
Gracias Javier!

I can't wait to go back to Berlin now! In 2018/2019 I travelled for 1 month through Europe with my elderly mother and took her to the 7 dials in London and to some lovely cafes and we spent 3 days in matera seeing the cript and the murgia park. All of these things where shown to me on your videos and I cherish the memory of the trip very much! Keep up your great work Sam and Audrey!
Sam and Audrey, you two are such fantastic travel guides. I watch your videos over and over. I’m old enough to be your dad, but I sure wish I had travel companions like you. Keep traveling!!!!
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
😎👍
Can you show something else than you eating, kind of super boring.
You can always skip ahead! All the activities we did in Berlin are time-stamped in the video.
A great and a professional tour. Love your videos. You guys should visit Sweden as well ;)
En español por favor.
Isn't German Kimchi = Sauerkraut? :D
We love both!
Great filming as always. Great overview of Berlin. Superb city to visit. Glad you made it. It could be a while before the global tyrants allow us to travel again if ever.
Nice to watch you two showing the amazing delights of Berlin.
Looking forward to your next videos
Thanks. Grusse aus Nordirland. 🇬🇧👍🇬🇧
Thank you very much Foster! We loved revisiting after all, of these years.

Thanks!
It seems you two go on quite a lot of different tours. Would you recommend these types of tours for the solo traveller?
Definitely! There are usually quite a few solo travellers when we join group tours and oftentimes people end up meeting up for some more sightseeing afterwards. It can be a great way to meet other travellers.
@@samuelandaudrey Thank you! Looking forward to more great videos about Germany and Beyond!
When did you take this Berlin trip( month)?
I noticed you answered it already! Last october, I see.
It was this past month - October 2021.
old video i can see all the leaves on the trees ... was this in october this year ?
Not an old video. We just filmed this a month ago! 😅

Thanks for watching, Abraham!
For me I never go there because 75 years ago you know what happened
So I guess you will never go to Germany in general or to any of the following places either: USA, China, Japan - just to name a few. Some time in history there happened bad inhumane things in all those places...
