The capriccioso part is very intense and that requires fast and intended vibrato to play as opposed to the rondo part where the soloist can be expressive with slow and broad vibrato. He’s not legendary like Milstein, Kogsn, Rabin, Heifetz ... but he’s extremely good and worth watching than the rest.

My orchestra is playing this piece with a soloist (I am in first violin), and the orchestra part is harder than you think. The whole orchestra says it's hard!
The craziest thing to me is how much Ray improved in between performances. Every single time, you can hear that he’s putting even more in the piece than before.
I love how on every classical music video on UA-cam there is always TwoSet fans. They really succeeded in making classical music more accessible and widespread.
This is literally insane. From the effortless way he can play the insanely fast passages to the way he can express emotion through his deep vibrato and dynamics in the slow section, this is truly a work of art

Well, you have to know that even with music sheets he'd have to find the right places with his fingers out of intuition, so playing with the eyes closed is not really something hard. Playing by heart is tho.
I perform violin regularly as well (not bad but much worse than ray obviously) and often get compliments for emotion (ie closed eyes)… what it actually is- I’m so nervous I close my eyes to not see the crowd lmao

I’m a beginner here, I’ve been learning the violin since April 17th, 2022 and I hope to be able to master the violin with patience and confidence and be able to play this piece in a band one day.
Simply astonishing, all the way around, both the virtuoso soloist and the entire Orchestra. I can't believe this is Malta. I didn't figure the country was large enough to support such an incredibly top flightl orchestra.
This is the most heartfelt and triumphant Bruchs concerto I have ever heard. I am eight hours post op and am so happy because I have been able to listen to this masterpiece and feel the healing energy emanating from Chloe and this amazing orchestra. So much gratitude to them both. ❤❤❤❤Love ❤❤Love

@@cke900 yes, was written in his Autobiography book 'Aoi Hono' It was his fave but thought that he was too young to skate for this Musical Piece. But now he has aged and has an enough arsenal in terms of Program Component and Technical Aspect too, he has the right to skate Rondo Capriccioso 😁

Instead of trying to overwrite the author's piece with innovative garbage like most pop music does you perform the piece sublimely in such a way that shows deep emotion, colour to the piece and honour and respect to both the piece as well as the composer with amazing talent! You make the song come alive, we need more Ray Chen!! You're not just a great musician, you're a great guy and a very unique violinist. You have talent and it shows in whatever you do on violin. I never liked classical music, but this… changed my whole mind about classical music… Here’s a moral I learnt: “Never say you hate something when you don’t know all of them yet.” (eg. Songs, music, genres, etc…)
Ray Chern is a violin genius, that became clear on day one of the KEW in Brussels. He has made a prolific career ever sice, in the concert hall and on the internet, never ever being shy to share his knowledge.
