- Dr. Bruce Hermann, a plastic surgeon and MD medical doctor in Texas says nearly ten thousand fireworks injuries are reported every Fourth of July. Hermann says about 10% of those are some of the worst injuries he sees, while the rest tend to be rather minor. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac and Dr. Hermann discussed injuries, issues, accidents and advice for buying and throwing your own fireworks in terms of safety and explosive fireworks.

Not try'n to rain on your lovely 4th of July celebrations, but this is exactly why our Government in Australia put a stop to fire works being sold to the general public back in the 70's.

Most of these people that get injured by fireworks dont seem very bright.
Smart people: "Let's follow the firework safety rules and enjoy a wonderful firework show!"
Dumb people: "Naaahhhh! The firework rules are a total lie. Let's have a risky adrenaline firework show!"
