Took me a lot of rewinds to find out what happened at 0:58. If you look on the left side of the screen while the car passes through, you can see the cable that has fallen react to the car passing through it. Looking at the car, you can't see the cable at all (too much movement by the camera operator). You're welcome if this helps you.

@@flipflopping without a doubt. I'd have definitely given him some kind of commendation given that the area he had to land was so full of people. If he hadn't been so skilled there would have been a beautiful plane lost forever and potentially a lot of lives lost

Really well executed by the pilot. Nose up in a flare and touched down away from the population. Any landing that everyone walks away from is a good landing. If it's reusable, it's a perfect landing.

1:44 The fire appears to be from compressor stalls (which are airflow disruptions that cause air from the combustion chamber to blast out the front of the engine instead of the back). An engine can handle a few of them without any issue, but the huge bursts of pressure can cause major engine damage if the engine isn't throttled down to resolve the issue.

From what I have gathered, the plane was saved from being totaled by the fantastic skills of the pilot. It would have been a disastrous loss...it is an absolute beautiful piece of history.

Yes, that was a TBM Avenger (WWII torpedo bomber) that lost power and intentionally belly landed in the perfect place while performing at the Cocoa Beach Air Show in 2021. Expensive to fix, but it'll fly again.

Fail Army always seems to fail whenever they try to spell the word 'brake' (as in 'to slow down or stop'). They consistently spell it incorrectly as 'break' as in 'to cause damage'. I can always tell when I'm watching a genuine Fail Army video whenever I see that word rendered incorrectly....
They have many fails when it comes to spelling/grammar/subtitles. I still watch them though.
The subtitles are almost always wrong.
There are a staggering number of people in the world who seem to struggle with simple grammar. I often see 'break' or 'breaks' as in "I hit the breaks to slow down" instead of brake or brakes. The other common issue I have become aware of is the inability of people to make words plural. For example - recovery. Way too many people write "recoverys" or "recovery's". Are schools failing people this badly?

its been tried long before it doesnt work , wont stabilize . They work good for a turbine to produce electricity though.
Flettner rotor works nice on ships, but not on planes. Besides the stability issues, once it stops to rotate you go straight down like a brick.
This has been proven to work on model scale.
Although it has some drawbacks and certainly won't replace conventional wings, with the right investment it will work
