saw this after watching your Raleigh food video! i’m an austinite looking to move to the triangle because of the crowdedness here, and yeah grabbing a quick bite in austin is way too hard 😭 if y’all go back try… Nayam for jerk chicken, Polvos on 1st for Mexican (popular local spot), Medici for coffee, Paperboy for brunch (a must), Terry Blacks for bbq, Ramen Tatsuya for ramen, Elizabeth Street Cafe for Vietnamese and Lucy’s for fried chicken!!

Girl the heat in Austin blew my mind lol. I absolutely love the food truck parks (genuinely, what a great idea) but I could not do it in the heat! We are actually thinking about making an Austin trip in December because my husband has never been, so if you have any recommendations for food, let me know! I'm so excited for my husband to experience Austin because his favorite food types are barbeque and Mexican, so he will be beside himself lol. Thank you for watching!
@ChristieintheCity if you're looking for tacos, Mami's tacos off of Menchaca has awesome barbacoa. There's also a great little hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in North Austin, but I can't remember the name. If I find it, I'll come back and let you know
Yeah go in the winter! It's perfect summer weather all months except January and Feb. Austin is overpopulated right now! Once you get out of downtown it's not so bad for wait time at food places! 🙌🙏
I just watched your video - yes, I'm late in responding. You went all over Austin. I'm a 4th generation Austinite living in South Austin. A lot of the places you went to are going to have long lines because they are touristy. I stay away from those places. There are a lot of places I go to that have little or no wait. Next time you come to Austin, hit me up. I can take you to a bunch of places that would blow your mind. BBQ, Asian, Mexican, whatever. Very reasonably priced too.
@jayjoseph3563 County Line on the Hill off 2222. Get the Big Daddy Beef Rib platter. The ribs are ginormous. I can usually eat 1.5 of them with some of the sides. Lots leftover for later.
That's a great video! Thank you! Go to valentinas with your husband! It's a BBQ food truck with bomb breakfast tacos! Tacodeli is also great for breakfast tacos with mashed potatoes! Mmmmm i don't think you had much texmex in your video. That's a staple here! A lot of purple love Matt's el rancho and chuys. Me and my hub live dk Maria's the best! So many great places here! You could have a whole channel about the food here! Right next to valentinas is a Mediterranean Cafe food truck that's Lebanese food and it's almost like Greek but so much better! It's amazing! Mmmm! There's a few for your next cooler visit! I hope you found all the water holes here too being here when it's so hot! I saw the barton springs on your video but there's oh so much more! So much beautiful nature and water! Nice when it's cooler too! Cheers and thank you!

It's nice to know the nature/water is still nice when it's cooler, that was one concern I had about coming in a cooler month. @@ChristieintheCity well October, November, April, May might be best and many waters maintain a temp year round. San marcos may be the warmest- the river is 72 degree year round. Krause springs is 68 I believe year round. Sweet eats berry farm has fireworks every weekend in October. Many people do a polar plunge around January in barton springs and San marcos River! It's cold because of the air! Not so bad in the water. 🙌
