    Bob Berdella used to have a booth at The Flea Market in Kansas City, MO - a restaurant that served burgers and had flea market finds. In the early 80s my girlfriend and I another female went into his entryway booth area and he had a skull on the counter, (later, realized it was probably a skull of someone he had killed - when I looked into his eyes they were black - you could tell he hated women and we backed out of there and never went back. About a year later is when the story came out about the man escaping his house before he could murder him. I will never forget the Black Dog Eyes he had - just a horrible man. Thank God he is Dead!

I worked in a restaurant in downtown KC. My fellow waiter, a lovely gay man, got a call one night at work from the police who had just arrested his neighbor Bob. They wanted to take a peek in my friend’s back yard. Later, we learned about the horrendous crimes. It was shocking, but I was not surprised that it was him. He is a human with many psychopathic traits. He is not a psychopath, but a human being with many more psychopathic traits than most people have.
      But all humans have some of these traits and almost all have hurt some fellow humans.
      I wonder how many people subconsciously and consciously sometimes experience the same impulse, but almost all of them are able to suppress such impulses, which, for example, the above-mentioned serial killer does not want or cannot suppress?
      So perhaps we should first see what we humans consist of: nature and culture, man and predator, etc. Maybe we are all quite divided because we are filled with so many contradictions?
      The interviewed serial killer is not only capable of carrying out - but has already several times carried out - disgusting, monstrous acts against his fellow human beings, simply because it was something he had (and probably still had) - a desire to do at the time of the interview
      The interesting question, therefore, is why people with many psychopathic traits are unable to suppress such unsympathetic impulses, but let it go unchallenged in horrific ways that reveal much about these individuals: need for power and control; often a hatred of their victims who were also of the same sex as their sexuality was directed against.
      Why is it that only a few people have enough psychopathic traits to let their derailed evil sadistic sexuality speak and ultimately kill the victims? Thing abput it: No one these days can avoid seeing how the porn industry (90%; I would guess) dominated by portraying, a male, power-control-driven sadism that in such a shameful way risks becoming a template for sex between people?

    @thebehaviorpanel , love it when y'all highlight what interviewers are doing well and what you would do differently if you were in their position. Greg and Chase often refer to techniques they've used during past interrogations. If there are any videos of them that are available to be used, it would be fascinating to see them in action! It would be interesting to hear commentary and insight into their process during a recorded interview/interrogation but also lessons learned from hindsight and experience since. It would be brilliant to see the analysis from all 4 of you with one of your own in the interviewer position.

    Psychopathy is such a perplexing, curious, and extremely fascinating topic for me. I’m about halfway through Robert D. Hare’s book titled “Without Conscience” and it’s a phenomenal read so far. Still, no matter how many books & articles I read, videos I watch, the topic of psychopaths and how their brains are wired is truly an enigma.
    Great video, guys. The audacity of this piece of human sewage to try and water down the absolute atrocities he committed is beyond anything I could come close to comprehending. He (along with other evil sludge of society like Watts, Todt, Peterson, Downs, Bundy, any individual who commits atrocities like these and any crimes against our innocent children) really bring that much more substance to Shakespeare’s quote, “Hell is empty and all the devils are here.”
    Take care

    • @JenniferElliott-ve8pj
      @JenniferElliott-ve8pj 8 місяців тому

      @@tlindsay1007 It's standard of care (in Canada) for doctors to prescribe prenatal vitamins and discuss the importance of good nutrition during pregnancy. As for advising about higher doses of vitamin D, that seems to be within their discretion but is not standard protocol. Also informed expectant mother's can request a vit D serum test to screen their levels and identify if additional supplementation is indicated. But this is not generally offered as part of the prenatal work up.
      Since the main purpose of adequate vit D serum levels is to support the mother's immune system to protect her against viral infections I wonder if it would be beneficial for expectant mother's to wear a mask when out and about during cold and flu season?

    Fascinating video TBP. Never heard of this case but I am as excited as Scott appears to be dissecting this guy. When talking about his sensitivity to having kept meticulous notes, I think Scott and Chase nailed it. This monster took notes and pictures so he could relive the moments with each victim. He wants to soften the viewer’s impression of this detail by implying the notes are not very detailed or even bound in any meaningful way as to make them special, i.e., being bound in Corinthian leather, or just an ordinary notebook. However, he kept them under the mattress on his bed where he slept on top of them, and where they would be conveniently accessible for his personal pleasure. This guy is so deficient emotionally and socially that he thinks society will agree with him that he has been vilified and thus victimized by the media for just being himself, the guy next door. Wow, just wow. Wish you four were doing this interview with him.

    The reason he was so focused on the fact that he did NOT keep meticulous notes - is that he knows how that would make the whole case look. Keeping meticulous notes and data about your deeds suggests high level of organization and planning, enjoyment. He previously wanted to distance himself from the fact that he is different by mentioning that he is "just the next door neighbor that did monstrous things". Now he's distancing himself from the fact that he enjoyed all of this on a high level and that he was obsessed with it, so he downplays the notes and pictures. That's the real reason I believe
