A video I've wanted to make for the longest time, a true Rock and Metal showdown, the 6505 vs a boosted Valveking. Peavey's tried and true vs their budget option.
Follow, Subscribe, hope you guys like this one!
Valve King Boosted is goated
the valve king was a little brighter and tighter(that is gain pedal love for sure) the 6505 sounded great, more low mids intact thus the cool palm muting. Don't sleep on that valve king, I borrowed the combo version of that head and almost bought it. It is very flexible. I'm about the "right tool for the job" in that mix with 1 guitarist doing the work I would go for the brighter amp to get the articulation to cut through the mix or combine them!!!!
@@chimchimlane I too would choose the Valveking a lot, for exactly the same reasons. It is slept on and all it needs is a boost to go from OK to metal machine. It cuts through the mix with ease.
This is the best demo i have heard so far of the Valveking!
Thank you, man. Many more videos of some sick amps will be on the way.
Also, the VK is a sleeper beast.
i have valveking for ages and i really love this amp for metal stuff. Just add a simple tube screamer and patch into effects loop and it will sounds great. A lot of youtubers who made demo for those often make this amp sound like shit and it so strange to me(some grandpas with les pauls who says "now let's test how this amp sounds for metal" -> *sounds of fart* bruh ...
Nice tones and nice playing, you make it look like it takes no effort for things to sound that good.
Thanks, man. One of the biggest things is the micing itself, so if that is nailed down then you're off to a great start!
I have a Valveking VK212 and a Flux Drive, this gives me much hope!
Sick! They are a great pair, pull some bass off the Flux drive, put the treble around 2-3 o'clock and it will set the valveking ablaze.
One thing I should also note is this, the vast majority of issues people have with a lot of combos, peavey's especially, is the speakers themselves. Sheffields are not nearly as well liked, broadly speaking, as v30's or greenbacks or something like that. So just something to keep in mind if its not ripping how you want. Could be the speakers!
