Yeah I have a 4tec as well and havent touched it since I bought it. The great thing about the TT02 is parts are cheap and fairly plentiful. I have a second kit I'm using for parts and you can usually get the parts tree you need faily easy. I just run a cheap motor and Arrma esc. Tires are BSR or Contact foams and they last. I'm still on the first set of foams...lol.
Thanks brother! Yeah these speed runs can be super dangerous...you never know if the car is going to come at you. I have an X0-01 as well that I will be running soon on the channel too. Thanks for watching. 👊😀
just subscribe. hi there. like that you making great memories with your boy. have fun even when you're struggling it makes it all fun and laughter. I'm looking to get a TT2 and build it for my son. he's thing is to go fast. I'm into nitro and crawlers but I enjoy going fast too.
Thanks for the sub...subbed back. If you get a TT02 get the TT02RR. It has a much better fluid filled differential and a bunch of aluminum parts most notably the rear uprights that give you 3 degrees of toe in. You need this for high speed stability.
Damn thats pretty fast for sure..... I feel your pain I once airborned my RCIO worlds car into a small bump on the street and it flew into my leg and broke my tibia.... I converted it from a buggy into a land speed record car and on that run it was going about 76 mph and that was way back in 1995 & it was then ranked the fourth fastest RC car in the country..... Was kiinda amazing when these high speeds was pretty unheard of... The all metal chassis is a bone breaker if it clips you at high speed... I learned on that run to rebuild it with a bigger wing and a bit stiffer rear shock setup
Damn! Thats crazy! I got off easy I know. It could have been disasterous. And 76Mph in 1995 was fast! I like the way you say way back in 1995...lol. It doesnt seem like long ago but it is now..😥😂
Hey Chuck thanks for watching and commenting. Get the Tamiya high speed spur gear set, a set of Contact foam tires in a harder compound, some rear aluminum uprights for 2 degrees of rear toe in, and run a little toe out. Then you want an 80-120amp esc and a 5900kv motor. Also get the Yeah racing adjustable aluminum motor mount and run robinson racing 52 spur and 45 tooth pinion. All that will get you to 80 plus mph. Add a DeltaPlastiks 2mm Porsche GT body and you are set to about 100mph. I missed 100mph by 3mph...and am bummed I couldnt just put it to rest...hahaha. I may try again for 100 this month but I'm so busy...and I'm bashing RC's offroad when I get the chance too. If you need any tips on the TT02 feel free to ask. I bought my Robinson gears from Amain hobbies online and my esc and motors from Amazon and Ebay. I subbed your channel bro...I like your vids.
Thanks brother. 👊😀 3 mph shy of 100 but I was running into a headwind. This season I should be able to crack that 100mph in this car. My Slash has done 132mph so far but I need this one to 100mph.😀
Well for world fastest Tamiya check out Stew Mac on youtube. 97mph was my best on this car. I got my Slash 4x4Gt to 138mph. After the 97mph run I havent run the Tamiya.
Do you think this of the Kyosho Fazer MK2 is a better speed run car? Great speed runs! I know what that feels like as I hit my foot at around 60 mph and it wasn’t right for over a month!
Hahaha! Yeah for some reason I put high top sneakers on that day and they totally saved my ankle. Not sure what Kyosho you are speaking of but in my opinion if you want to do speed runs the easiest way to go fast is with an Arrma Limitless or Infraction.
@@KaizerTest Sorry, I missed an important word! The Kyosho Fazer MK2 platform. Oh, no doubt but I was trying to have an on road car that isn't crazy expensive that can still be made to go around 100 mph reliably. I have been maxing out my Bandit on the stock power system but I think I am getting close to what I can do with it (without upgrading to a 4s system) and was considering a dedicated on road car. Good move with the hi-tops! 😃
@@BriansRCStuff Yeah I'm not sure about the Kyosho fazer but if you can get the spur/pinion closer to 1:1 ratio you should be able to get it to 100mph with foam tires.
Yeah I'm good brother...thanks for asking. I was wearing high tops and I literally felt perfect right after...Thank God I decided to wear my high tops.
Wow that was intense!!! 😯 I need to get a body like that when I plan to push high speeds! What is that body called? Also I appreciate you helping me out as while I'm not green to rc im very green to 1/10 scale touring cars lol. I had alot of fun building my first tamiya! My buddy Philthyco rc pushed me to getting one last winter and im glad I did! Can't wait to see you hit that triple digit mark!! So close!! Lol wow that hit was crazy. Lucky you didn't shatter your ankle!...WASTED! 🤣 That hit and fall was pretty epic!
Ahh your buddy is Philthyco...hes a good guy. And I dont mind helping. I have to say these 1/10 Tamiya TT02's are hard to go fast. The setup of steering is important and Im no expert. I just know toe out on the front and toe in on the rear and use foam tires. The body is important for sure. You need to cut the rear of the body out to let air escape otherwise pressure builds up and the body acts as a parachute. Did you see my Tamiya Top Force buggy? I did 71mph on my street on a crappy road. I was using softer foam tires. Only a few outings and they are gone.
@@KaizerTest Hahaha I was talking to Phithyco about you and was telling me about your top force buggy! Ill definitely check it out! Yeah I have those aluminum uprights. Guess the tt02r model comes stock with them along with a few other hop ups. Ill grab that body and foams when I gear up for sure 👍 I'll watch that top force run today for sure! Thanks again brotha! Cheers from the U.S!
And yeah that TT02 came at me like a missile. I wish I had another camera set up to capture the impact...lol. The body I used is a 1/10 DeltaPlastik Porche GT body. I have to look again exactly which one. If you look on DeltaPlastikusa.com website you can probably find it. I ordered directly from them. As for 100Mph in a Tamiya it may have to wait until next year. Im onto running my Slash 4x4 trying to break 125-130mph. And I have my Arrma, Infeaction, Limitless and Felony I want to build up. Eventually looking for 150mph if I can. But the Tamiya is still with me and I will hopefully crack 100mph with it.
@@cwatson42785 Cheers from Canada brother.👍🏼 What are you using for gears? You need the Tamiya high speed gear set..but basically just the adaptor that comes with it. Then you need RobinsonRacing touring car 48p spur in 52 tooth. And get RobinsonRacing 45 tooth pinion. Then you need to dremel out the gear cover for the pinion to clear. Need to cut it out and make it open. What motor and esc are you going to run?
@@KaizerTest Hey Kaizer I'm running a 25 or 26 Robinson pinion, stock spur and im running a hobbywing 3652 3300kv motor and max 10 80a esc. Once i can top this off by reaching top speed once i get tires that will actually allow me to not spin out at 3/4 throttle I'm gonna gear up for sure! Thanks for the gearing advice! I appreciate it! 👍👊🍻😎👌
You mean to video the run? At this point I was using a Gopro session 4 but then moved to a Gopro Hero 8 for better stabilization. I use the gopro head strap.
Is that the 5900 surpass on 4s? What is your final drive ratio? (Or motor rpm needed for 97mph?) Thank you, planning to try for 100 soon with my tamiya too 👍 I hope the leg is better and the car repairable 👍
Yes the motor is a surpass 5900kv. My gearing was 45 pinion and 52 spur. Final drive is 3.00 roughly but I just experiment with gear combos. Yeah my foot was totally fine no injuries at all...lol. My high top shoes saved my ankle. Thanks for watching bro...post some vids of your progress.
😂 Like somebody punched me in the ankle...lol. When I left home that morning I put my high top running shoes on for some reason. There was a lot of padding in the ankle area so basically nothing happened to me. Now if it was my Arrma Felony or Infraction it probably would have been worse. When it hit me I didn't stay planted I tumbled and did a side flip...hahaha.
If I move this Tamiya tire at 100mph, will the tire burst? www.tamiya.com/japan/products/51049/index.html And which is stronger, hobbywing max6 or Arrma's esc in this video?
You need to run foam tires like Contact Foam's or BSR's. Those tires you showed will deform and balloon and come off the wheel at 100Mph. The Max 6 is definitely a stronger esc but it's too big for a 1/10 scale car and not needed. The Arrma Blx185 is strong enough.
Hi brother. Well I have an Arrma Blx185 esc and a Surpass Hobby 5900kv motor. For a radio I'm running a Spektrum DX5C. Gearing was 45t Pinion and 52t Spur. The body is DeltaPlastik Porsche GT 2mm thick.

What battery were u running when u hit 97 mph 3s or 4s ? Just wondering 🤔 great passes to bad about the damage
4s Spektrum
Also might want to run more thick differential oil or use yeah racing solid axles.
Yeah for sure. I learned that the hard way on my Slash 4x4...lol. This one I have thick diff fluid in the rear and it helps a lot.
It doesnt seem like long ago but it is now..😥😂
@@KaizerTest That it is for sure hope you get her fixed up and rippin in no time.... Thanks for the subbing too
Just got my first TT02 kit.
I know I’m a long long way from 85mph.
But....
Who knows.
Great Video.
Yup 100 in a TT o2 good stuff. That's also what I noticed with tamiya! As soon as you're running good (crash) and fix ...
Thanks brother. 👊😀 3 mph shy of 100 but I was running into a headwind. This season I should be able to crack that 100mph in this car. My Slash has done 132mph so far but I need this one to 100mph.😀
Thank you bro
No problem my RC brother. 😀🍺🍺
Thats why they call em "ankle breakers"
😂
Well done that's what I was just thinking of trying to do " world's fastest tamiya. Did you get to 100
Well for world fastest Tamiya check out Stew Mac on youtube. 97mph was my best on this car. I got my Slash 4x4Gt to 138mph. After the 97mph run I havent run the Tamiya.
did you have to use a program card for this esc? Great run!
Thanks bro. No you don't need a program card for the Arrma BLX185 esc.
Was the injury okay? Thank you for commenting on my video as well ❗️
Oh yeah I was fine. Not even a bruise because I was wearing high top running shoes that had lots of ankle padding..thank God...lol.
That's right, there is no injury ❗️
🙁 but as long as you’re fine you can always get another RC hope all is well
Yeah I'm good brother...thanks for asking. I was wearing high tops and I literally felt perfect right after...Thank God I decided to wear my high tops.
have you try test rc on desert highway in remote place very flat straight!
No desert near me in Canada but this road is good. I got my Slash 4x4 GT up to 138mph on this road. The trouble is keeping this car straight.
what body is that?
Deltaplastik Porche GT 2mm thick.
what camera and mount are you using?
You mean to video the run? At this point I was using a Gopro session 4 but then moved to a Gopro Hero 8 for better stabilization. I use the gopro head strap.
I have a carbon framed chassis tt01 and a 5200kv motor 60a esc and a 3s battery thing hella fast
Nice. These 1/10 scale cars are little screamers.
Yup
What shell is that your using please?
Its a DeltaPlastiks 22mm Porsche GT body. They ship all over the world. It's very
stiff being 2mm.
Hi what spur and pinion did you use for this run?
Been awhile but it's either a 52 or 48 spur and like a 47 pinion.
Is that the 5900 surpass on 4s?
What is your final drive ratio? (Or motor rpm needed for 97mph?)
Thank you, planning to try for 100 soon with my tamiya too 👍 I hope the leg is better and the car repairable 👍
What body do you have? Where can I get one? Thanks
It's a DeltaPlastik Porsche GT deltaplastikusa.com/collections/1-10th-rc-bodies/products/0408-porsche-962 Bought it there.
Thank you!
@@seancunningham1361 No problem brother.
What an intro!!! How did that feel?!?!?!?
😂 Like somebody punched me in the ankle...lol. When I left home that morning I put my high top running shoes on for some reason. There was a lot of padding in the ankle area so basically nothing happened to me. Now if it was my Arrma Felony or Infraction it probably would have been worse. When it hit me I didn't stay planted I tumbled and did a side flip...hahaha.
@@KaizerTest you can kind of see the flip roll. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
At least you got some awesome footage!!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@Addicted_2RC Thanks brother. I wish I had my son taking video with my cell phone to see me do the flip...lol.
@@KaizerTest That would’ve been epic!!!!!
If I move this Tamiya tire at 100mph, will the tire burst?
www.tamiya.com/japan/products/51049/index.html
And which is stronger, hobbywing max6 or Arrma's esc in this video?
You need to run foam tires like Contact Foam's or BSR's. Those tires you showed will deform and balloon and come off the wheel at 100Mph. The Max 6 is definitely a stronger esc but it's too big for a 1/10 scale car and not needed. The Arrma Blx185 is strong enough.
What electronic equipments and gears are used in the car in this video bro🤔
Hi brother. Well I have an Arrma Blx185 esc and a Surpass Hobby 5900kv motor. For a radio I'm running a Spektrum DX5C. Gearing was 45t Pinion and 52t Spur. The body is DeltaPlastik Porsche GT 2mm thick.
KaizerTest RC wow that‘s pretty great.i have sakura xis nu and i want to upgrade my car until it can run about 90-100mph.But I still have a long way to make it come ture😩😩😩

Good job !!! 👍👏
What IS that body? Sorry i'm bad in english 🙄
Hi from Canada! We have 2 official languages and French is one of them but I'm not good at it..so no worries on the English. You said it perfectly. 😃🍺🍺

Do you have links to the entire build?
No but I can help you with info..I don't mind helping. Ask as many questions here as you want.
i have a servo and gyro id like to use i mainly just need a motor esc combo thatll work well as ive been just trying to research a motor that would work well w AWD. im pretty new to this its a blast tho! which motor and esc did you use exactly
i saw it said surpass but what brand and stuff? and thanks for getting back to me
@@justinsilva3790 The gyro is ok. Not absolutely necessary and should only be used on a low setting otherwise it will go into a high speed rear end wobble. I used an Arrma BLX185 esc which is a bit overkill. A 120amp esc will take you to at least 90mph. I used an OCday which is pretty well a Gool RC. A hobbywing Max 10sct is 120amp NOT regular Max 10 which is weaker.
This esc is basically what I used originally www.ebay.ca/itm/HOBBYFANS-120A-80A-60A-Brushless-2-4S-ESC-BEC-for-1-8-1-10-TRAXXAS-RC-Car-J0C5/254649105731?hash=item3b4a44fd43:g:r8kAAOSwv1JfBs~u

@@justinsilva3790 The Brand itself is Surpass. I bought from Amazon but it seems there is a shortage on Amazon right now probably because of Covid 19. Ebay has them but they are orange can now. It has to be a 3650 sized motor. Get the 5900kv one or 5200kv. Go to AmainHobbies.com For gears order Robinson racing 48p 45t pinion and a 52 tooth spur. Get at least 2-3 spurs in case you strip one. an extra pinion would be good too. Maybe get a 42 or 43 tooth. Maybe grab one 60t spur as well so you can play with ratios. But I used 45t pinion and 52 tooth spur so you can just stick to that.
Grab some Contact racing 30mm Foam tires off Ebay. The stock body will take to to 80mph before you run into aerodynamic problems. Speed runs cars cut out the rear of the body around tail lights to let high pressure air to escape and prevent the car from "parachuting"..lol.
