Thank you Amber! Just what I needed to hear because by way of a true miracle, we are in Day 40 of loved one's recovery! I've been fighting for her for 17 years! Sorry I missed the live, was thinking Thursday:) God is good!

That was helpful, and I needed to hear it. I want to keep my relationship with my daughter a good one as it's been very tough this past year. Your video gave me more hope again. Thank you Amber!,😊

My male , married work colleagues complain that they are expected to be Mr Entertainment,, which I thought was funny because my Alcohol infused loved one was always Miss Entertainment and would have the whole evening/ weekend planned( yes there was a bar ,, it would be there ,, she had planned it in ) . When it came to giving up suddenly I had to be Mr Entertainment,, as all her ,, places of interest and hobbies were out of bounds,, even sitting in the sunshine in the garden had to be reinvented,, read a book 📖 , instead of drinking Chardonnay etc . Going for a walk together was a start ,, I told her , we don’t need a dog you can take your man for a walk 🚶 .

Thank you for these perspectives, I'm going through this with a family member and it's been a very rough 6 weeks. "It will all come out in the wash" so I don't need to stress myself to hell and back investigating anything. It's so sad

Please don’t have background music on your broadcasts!! It’s so distracting.

Excited to see you there. Just a heads up. I won't be live this week because of Thanksgiving. But we're back on schedule next week!

At what point can we bring up things that need worked through in the marriage? Mine is falling apart since my husband got sober a year ago.

My addicted son was asked by his wife, to leave their house because she is tired of his alcohol addiction ( 3 relapses over 12 yrs) so my ex-husband drove 6hrs & is allowing him to live at his house. Problem is my son wanted to detox himself this time . Problem my ex drinks & has alcohol around & drinks excessively with his friend , according to my son . When I confronted my ex he admitted that this was true . My son I think was sober for awhile ( I don’t know for sure ,I say this because he had a job , but as of yesterday he quit because he has painful back issues & the job increased from 8 hrs to 12 hrs a day ( standing no sitting ) .I don’t know what to think now
