I have a plain khaki Pungo touring Kayak that has desperately needed a makeover for a while. I bought the same stencils and plan to what you did to the brown one. Thanks!
They both look great… but if I had to pick… I would go with the darker yak. From above, the tan would seem to stand out. Excellent job and tips all the same.
Both boats look good but I think I would’ve hit the grey one with 600 grit prior to stenciling to knock the shine off…. Just bought a yak and will be doing the same very soon!
Wow I like them both The first one I think looks the best It's hard to say you did a hell of a good job I don't think the Duck will think so when they have lead flying at there ass Lol
Both came out really good. I like the marsh color a little better because it reminds me of the old brownleaf camo patterns. I'm probably going to buy a small kayak soon for public land hunting. If I do, I'll probably use this method. Hotty Toddy from Mississippi, by the way (Saw the Ole Miss sticker on the cooler).
I’m not into Camo on my kayak, but I would like to paint a koi carp on both sides and paint a name for my kayak on the rear and possibly something on the bow on each side. Will the pain bond to the plastic? Is it plasticoat paint?
@@diyoutdoorsman2344 If I create some social media accounts I definitely will do, currently youtube is all I have, trying to keep away from most big tech, but youtube is just to damn handy
My wife asked a question. Why not paint the bottom of boats white? Fish bellies are white and there must be a reason for that. I have no answer for her. Your thoughts.
That’s a really great question! The main reason I didn’t paint it white like a fish belly is because I use it for Duck Hunting and I didn’t want it to get flipped over upside down and have white facing up the air
All that paint is gonna go right into your favorite body of water as soon as it hits a rock. Just painted mine and regret it. Idk why folks are encouraging this without a real alternative to protecting the cost of paint from polluting.
*Alternative for non pollution Don't paint the hill of the kayak that goes in the water, when you land in the beach, kick up/kick some sand over the hull and you're good to go. Otherwise the hull will leech paint into the water continuously.
Both are dope for different reasons
That green really made that pop! I'm looking at doing mine and think I'm going to do something similar
If you do it please tag me on my social media!

Does the paint scratch off? That’s what I’m worried about

Adding some black would make that grey boat pop
The marsh tan was excellent

I like the marsh, but if I was to have one in Pic,,, Starcraft 😂
The open water the best. Big fan of the urban camo.
Turned out better than I expected!
Both are pretty sweet. I need to do this
Thank you! You totally should!
Great video! Still waiting for you to paint the cooler.

At first I thought Uh Oh, this will be shite.
What a fantastic result. Well done dudes....
I like the black one best.
I’m honestly starting to lean that way myself
Nice!
Can you follow up. I would like to know how the paint held up
Let me see if I can get a video this weekend

Yeah buddy! Ethan is a big Ole Miss guy!

Both look great. Thank's for sharing.
we did this, smaller kayak, 6 cans of paint, still pulls off like latex paint.
Did you use a plastic friendly paint and use fine small coats letting coats dry in between?
How does it look now?
Marsh one suits my hunting type. Where can you get the stencils?
www.redlegcamo.com/
Both look awesome!
Thank you 🙏
How long does the paint hold before the orange shows through again?
We made this video about 2 years ago and it's still holding strong!
Well done guy!
very good videos, however we all know that nothing lasts very long on polyethylene, how long do you estimate the lifespan of this paint?
A month or two
How well does the krylon paint hold up on that plastic?
Honestly holding up pretty well. Might be time for an update!
@@diyoutdoorsman2344 awesome, been looking for a kayak and found a used wilderness systems pungo 125 I want its just the wrong color.

Did you put any kind of seal over the paint?
No seal but it seems to be holding up well

How many cans of spray paint did you use and how long was the first one??
I believe we did the entire kayak with one can of each (with leftover) and it’s probably a 10 foot kayak
Scrach off with finger nail aye
What brand is the spray paint?
Rustoleum camo
Or how to paint your Panzer lV.
Brown
ALLV🧡L!! GB🍊!!
Definitely the second yak. Add some orange 😉
You got sick af after spraying all of that paint with no mask didn’t you?
Yep I died 💀

So what’s the solution
@@damiennroberts Complain and not offer a solution. Duh bro. Gotta virtue signal and then let everyone else figure out the answer.
Evidently someone hurried their paint job not allowing fine small dry layers each spraying
