    • @rubiconnn
      @rubiconnn Рік тому +2

      @@americandude3825 I would say it's slightly less reliable than most other average bikes but it's much more overbuilt and less likely to break due to heavy use. They are maintenance heavy though and require a lot more frequent oil changes and greasing u joints and such but the maintenance is really easy as you don't have to disassemble everything to get to stuff. The newer ones are significantly more reliable than the older ones though.

    When I bought my 2021 Gear Up, I had spent a good amount of time investigating the gradual upgrades and improvements of the machine and felt confident that I acquired the best possible production model available.
    Each year since then, I'm happily proven wrong. Well done folks!

    Hi guys, you mentionned "the sidecar guys" who rode 2100 miles with no issue, that's great. Nice guys.
    Just so you know, we've been travelling on our 2011 carburated Ural for 6 months, 20 000km, with only one minor issue. It will soon reach 70 000km, and it still runs like a clock.
    Maybe, the next generation Ural will be more reliable, but one thing is for sure : they still are way easier to fix than many other bikes. And that's an amazing quality. Thank you guys !!

    Hi Dave, thanks for the updates, I purchased my 2020 CT based on the ongoing improvements & upgrades. I get people telling me how unreliable Urals are occasionally ( their thoughts are about 30 or 40 years out of date ) I am pleased with my Ural CT that I use for touring, it pulls like train & uses less fuel than I had anticipated. It is the best riding motorcycle I've had. I like history & uniqueness of it not to mention it's versatility. Cheers for a great Christmas & safe.

    I am new to all of this. I remember seeing an older model some years ago and just thought it was great. I recently ran into a guy with his son on a new model and was blown away. It is a niche kind of market and I am a niche kind of guy. I am going to buy one because I can't see my life going by without one. Thank You so much for keeping history alive AND improving it! I love love love my 2012 Gear Up, but the pricing of Ural has gone beyond my ability to pay, I'm sorry. Wonderful updates. BTW, I have about 8000 miles (US) on my Gear Up with 100% reliability and I'm not easy on the rig. Lots of off roading, winter donuts, riding around rutted mountain roads in Arizona getting air, and highway miles at 60-65mph. We love the Gear Up! The only issue was over-torqued engine hardware that caused literally every gasket to leak. I replaced all the gaskets and torqued all hardware to spec and not a drop of leakage after that maintenance. Please tell the factory workers to use a torque wrench. Happy new year Ural!!!

    I have a Ural gear up, and the biggest problem when off roading in rough terrain is the transmission's low gear is not low enough to crawl along without riding the clutch. Why hasn't Ural developed a Hi & Low range transmission, like the early BMW R75, or even the Honda Trail 90 & ATVs ? It would be the greatest improvement to these bikes.

    This is good news, but too little too late at least for this former 2017 Gear Up owner. I bought mine brand new, and it was a blast initially, however, aesthetically it looked like a barn find after about a year, then smallish things began to break/fail on it. With true Ural "dealers" far and few between (as opposed to a retired cop who sells Urals from his garage), and having little faith in the bike holding up as any new bike should (at nearly $20k out the door), I wasn't about to be riding or trailering the bike hours away for impending repairs, hence I sold it. Soon after, I got the the recall on the wheels, which I forwarded to its new owner, to which he simply responded with a sigh.

      Get your money back and do something else. Ural is a great company. I wouldn’t have left a bike at a dealer for 8 months. Do better.

      @@UralMotorcyclesOfficial my comment is address a fault of the customers. I feel lack of communication on his end. I Love the company and love the changes your making. The fact that your here trying to help is better communication than I have seen from giants like Harley. Keep it up. I hope to pick up a Ural in 23.

      Ural is not Honda. Tools and ability is required. When I got my first Ural, a 1996, it was the most unreliable like that I had ever owned. It was the most unreliable machine that I ever owned! With help from others on a Ural chat board it was soon running fine. I traded it in on a 2002 which was much better.
