Have you considered that maybe the reason Islamic traditions have some resemblance to Pagan traditions from Jahiliyyah is that the Jahiliyyah traditions have their roots in Abraham via Ismael, who lived in Makkah. Islam is the return to the ways of Abraham/Ismael which is the purest form of worship revealed by God

I am an Orthodox Christian. During Great Lent, we fast for a period of 48 days leading up to Easter. During this fast, fish is only allowed for two days, while meat, dairy products, and eggs are not allowed. Consumption of olive oil is only allowed on weekends.
I don't call Ramadan fasting if you don't eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset and then eat yourself up afterwards. In addition, drinking water is essential for the body and very unhealthy not to drink for hours.

God prescribes this form of fasting in Ramdan so it does not matter what people think; God is the Creator and knows His creation best and this is the form of fasting He legislates. Everything God legislates is for the good of people. Plus, no those who study health are finding this dry fasting is beneficial which is why many non-Muslims even like to join in for Ramadan. God knows what is healthy and what isn't.

I was born and live in a biggest Muslim country in the world. Fasting on Ramadhan is a..festivity. Prices going up, household budget going up coz we tends to buy MORE FOOD for the night break fasting to compensate. Its so crazy that seasonal Ramadhan afternoon bazaar / market filled with any kind of delicious food otherwise not available during other months.
Its not how Ramadan is supposed to be. Everyone I know loses weight during Ramadan.

I noticed how fasting was drastically different to where I live and what I believe in; I would assume that I had a misunderstanding of what fasting was truly (due to living in an Islamic country) while maintaining the meaning and practice of fasting in the Bible. Well i'm still waiting to see a christian even rearrange meal times for fasting ... I live in France among christians, my daughter goes to a catholic private school, an I know a grand total of 1 person fasting before Easter. There are a couple who "reduce" their consumption of alcohol and call it fasting...
So rather than preaching islam is "not good enough" maybe try preaching to christians to actually practice their religion? I wish you the outmost success.

Yet you call the monotheistic religion pagan?? Jesus was a Prophet with special powers just like Moses who was also given special powers. By your logic Adam would be even higher in status than Jesus since he did not have a father or a Mother, Jesus never claimed to be God, furthermore its mainstream that the bible has lost its true meaning from all the different translations and corruptions from different churches, even if it was true at one point, it can no longer be trusted thus God sent the final religion for the whole of humanity, Islam the Quran which is always has been recited in its original language and has since its beginning has been memorised from 100s of millions of its followers thus protecting the integrity of the original word, no other religion can pass this test. this year, i have decided to participate in a bit of a fast like ramadan. my muslim brother was surprised when i told him such, but i told him i was doing it for Christ, not for allah. what i remember during this fast is the fasts that the former prophets and saints partook in as a part of remembrance. david fasting in mourning of the death of his child, moses fasting in the desert for forgiveness by God, even our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who had fasted 40 days in His own power. i pray for spiritual movement like each of the men of the torah and the apostles had, for if my stomach is not full with food, then i pray the Lord will fill my heart further with His Spirit. and i have not 100% adhered to the fast, i broke fast today at 12 since i woke up late, but i truly do feel better and more rejoice in the Lord God. He truly is powerful, as when i arise in the morning i do not starve nor cry to quench my thirst, and by sunset the groaning of my stomach has not become an inhibition. oh Lord, you are oh so powerful, lead us into the light, kyrie eleison, have mercy on me, a sinner. amen!

what makes you believe "three in one"? God is all mighty. All powerful. Self sufficient. He needs for nowt, yet sustains all his creation. To me it makes no logical sense how a man who was born, could be the lord. Tell me truthfully, does it fit the lord of the universe & beyond to begot a 'son'? Does that not contradict the biblical aspect of the lord being self sustaining (in his own regard). Jesus (peace be with him) ate, slept & prayed like a normal human being. God by his very nature need not of 'normal' human faculties. Nothing may tire him (even the creation of the heavens & the earth) & verily nothing may diminish his power. If the 'lord' (Jesus) needed something else other than himself to exist, how can he be god brother? Had Jesus (peace be with him) not ate, slept or drank he would have died; thus diminishing the aspect of self sufficiency.
God is by definition all knowing. John 14:28 states Jesus (peace be with him) said "The father is greater than I". If Jesus is Indeed the lord, and if the trinity is indeed the truth, how can one be greater than the other? Since the whole aspect of the trinity is 3=1. Showing that Jesus did not have the same knowledge as the lord proves, he is not god.
Jesus explicitly states that he is not got. John 17:3 states Jesus said "and this is life eternal, this is the way to eternal life that they may know you (the one true god) through me". Thus Jesus is telling the disciples he was sent by THE god. Also Jesus states when he was brought up to heaven; "And now I ascend to my God & your father" - thus claiming he is not infact 'the lord'. He never said "I will ascend to myself". God cannot change. In Malàkai god states "and I do not change therefore the sons of Jacob are not consumed" - this therefore shows us God cannot be subjected to the same laws he created. Eg. Time etc have no affect on God. Lastly God is an object of worship, therefore Jesus would have taught people to worship him (if he was truly god).

Whatever it is you need guidance in, I pray God will reveal his will. If I may humbly suggest one thing: _Practice gratitude/thankfulness and genuine worship._ I can't say this "fixes" anything; it's not a magic spell or cure-all, part of a "plan" that you can check off a list, but according to Romans 1:18-22, lack of gratitude and failure to give glory to God-- _in and for all things_ (I Thessalonians 5:18)-- is the primary contributor to "futile and foolish" thinking. This can manifest itself in despair, thinking God has abandoned us or just doesn't care, and can lead us to fall prey to false teaching and bad doctrine.
When I realized this as the biggest problem in my own life, I started by simply thanking him for everything...my car (as raggedy as it is, praise God!), my home, parents who love me, hot and cold running water on demand (do you realize what a luxury that is to almost half the people in the world?!), my sheets and pillow cases, the sunrise and sunset and other beauties of God's creation, even the "bad things" like my hay fever and blood disorder, the terrible heat, the times my car was incapacitated, and on and on. I admit, it felt a little ridiculous at first, but I wanted so badly to see God's face and deliverance from a terrible stronghold of sin, I was willing to do _anything._ Like Naaman, who was told to just bathe in the Jordan river to cure his leprosy, I thought it was a silly little thing, but quite soon, it became real, heartfelt gratitude. God knows your heart, my friend. He _will_ grant you the desires of your heart (Ps. 37:4), but in a masterful stroke of genius, note what he says we need to do first: _"Take delight in the LORD,"_ and he has also said that the desires of our heart should be _HIM,_ more and more of him!

I was muslim. Live in Indonesia. My family could spend twice for food on ramadan. That made me confused why would you feel insecure about what to eat, yet we only ate twice a day. I swear the spending on ramadan skyrocketing. I understand that people are happy to welcome Ramadan, but most of the time, it's the over consuming which erase the essential of fasting. Many people should follow the opening of market a bit late. I understand the change, but some people got butthurt to see someone eats at the day. Duh, not all people do fasting. Some pregnant moms, women on periods, and many non muslims aren't practicing it.
Ramadan is actually FEASTING, NOT TRUE FASTING.

Yes, Christians worship a man and Muslims (and Jews) worship God. Christians are polytheistic and pagan; Muslims (and Jews) are not. I am from Pakistan and people here don't fast they feast during the month of Ramadan. Technically, they skip only one meal(Lunch) and other times eat like animals and yet call it fasting and pretend that they are so holy.
Those are the people dude. Not the religion's fault that people aren't being respectable today.
How did it take Muhammad so many more years to reveal a month's worth of words?

Thanks so much for clearing this up for me. I think its honestly Muslims deprive themselves during the day and do binge eating and excess at night to where for the first half of the day their flesh isnt really without anything whereas Biblical fasting is for full days at a time to where the spirit increases much more.
Muslims should not binge eat ANYTIME much less in Ramadan; this is incorrect and not from Islam but from their own bad actions (and is not everyone; many Muslims don't even have enough food to eat normally and in Ramadan). They fast though, according to how God tells them to fast but you are definitely without. Have you ever dry fasted from sun up to sun down OR a Biblical fast for days at at time without food or drink?
@@nunya54 yes I have first of all meant no disrespect but some Muslims I have known did binge eat during Ramadan at night to make the days not so rough. Fasting is very hard I did a 5 day fast a TRUE fast once it was a very spiritual experience the first 2 days were painful but it somehow got easier
Wrong, we are to eat not anymore actually less than normal....I have done Ramadan.....most fat Christians couldn't last an hour without water or bacon.
