@@catsdogsbaby8318 Canada already is a bubble and it’s a shit one. America is no better, and this is coming from someone who has lived in both countries for many years.
The issue is, that being isolated from the rest of the world or being uncultured only weakens your worldview and it is counterintuitive to being sympathetic to other groups of people outside of your bubble. Obviously, I am not referring to everyone being this way, but many Americans have never even been on an airplane, and many others don’t even own a passport. Also, like I said, Canadians are no better. So many provinces have such similar homogeneity to the point where most interactions with other cultures is, well to be candid strange. It’s like what Candace was saying about Philadelphia and the black population. The town I’m from was probably 99.7% white.
Anyway, this response has been too long and I doubt you would read it all but all I’m saying that ignorance doesn’t fix an issue as much as it does cover it up while everyone thinks it’s solved. Instead, everything just gets worse and people call it “progress.”
Edit: just in case you were being humorous, which in hindsight you might have been joking I’ll just end by saying utopian ideals are the real joke ✌️

I love the south and southern people they can be the kindest most caring people you've ever met. Yet in that same breath those people will turn around and to your face say things like "this is the problem with the blacks". Peoples perception of racism has become this thing were its some bigot screaming in your face about how much they hate a group of people. When really its a whole lot more subtle then that.
Its a mindset or a belief a person has about an entire group of people. A perfect example would be when bill o'reilly went into a black restaurant and was stunned everyone there was not loud and abrasive.

Julia Mimi Blacks have obtained the highest levels of power in government and business. Even Trump used to be celebrated in the press as someone who hired women and blacks to important positions in his company at a time when it was unusual to do that. My nephew who is Mexican and his sister who is black got full scholarships to college because my sister who was poor always made it a priority to put them in the best school district she could and emphasize education. Drugs, broken families, and bad schools keep blacks down. It is in the interest of the democratic party to keep them a poor voting block that they can manipulate.

People take the minority of incidents and randomly magnify them to apply to the majority when they dont. Like when dumbasses thought most kf the police force was on some kind of manhunt for black people after George Floyd died because of racist cops and an unfitting punishment for said cops.
Also its pretty obvious that most black people in America can go through life same as a white person, and its a fact that they arent oppressed.

She is a black woman who is embarrassed by her own race.
But the real tragedy is that she uses that internalized hatred to validate racists. She tries so hard and believes if you play by their rules they will stop seeing you as black, and see you as just a person.
      No, darling.
She will always look at the racists point of view. Maybe the police officer wasn't being racist, but just having a bad day.
She makes lots of money by telling white folks they're not racists, the system is not racist, black people are welfare dependent and have a victim complex.

    • @ericachan452
      @ericachan452 4 роки тому +4

She wasn't at all expressing self hatred. I find it odd that a lot of comments on this video didn't get her point. Her point was that because Philly has a large black population, it's very likely that if a manager (white or otherwise) there calls the cops on someone, that someone will be black. Because, again, the likelihood is high purely because of demographics. Therefore, one shouldn't assume (like Joe Rogan) that it was racism. Sure, maybe it was. But also, maybe it wasn't -- for the reasons Candace stated. Also, as an Asian, I completely get her surprise about how many black people are in Philly. I don't often encounter many other Asians here in the US (I was born here, and I've always lived here), so it's kind of a shock when I see so many in California and Washington state, the times I've visited. Doesn't mean I hate Asians.

“Race” conversations always seem to end with more confusion than anything. So you should ask the question “who started identifying people by “race”? Because if you stop using the word “race” then racism will die. It’s tribes. Not races.
The word “race” was coined by a German 300 years ago Von Hibensbok (forgive spelling). If he would of never coined that word, then tribes would co exist today, and “race” would be unheard of in reference to human beings.

68 years ago when I was five years old, my family was living in nyc, a so called liberal city at the time. Still is today. My siblings and me were the children of mixed race parents. My mother; first generation Irish, and my father, a black Haitian. A loving man, deeply devoted to his wife and children. Whenever the family would venture out to go shopping, I often wondered why my father would walk a block behind us. When I asked my mother why dad didn't walk with us, I was told to be quite, and keep walking. Years later the truth be told as to why. What sadness my parents must have endured in silence.

I just rolled my eyes when I heard that a Starbucks worker was deemed racist. It's part of the manager's job to keep the store clean of riffraff.
