( this is a open statement on the subject matter not in no way directed at anyone, but it is directed at everyone) What happened to this world that correcting someone that had a slip of the tongue makes you a hero it's only what normal people do were not supposed to make a obvious mistake into the act of evil. Now that, that is clear why do people want to jump all over in full attack mode every time anyone makes a mistake. My god is everyone else perfect other than me and the evil one that dared not to be perfect. Humans and society has continued on a downwards spiral the last decade to where it feels to me like we can't sink any lower but rock bottom is still a ways to go. We have to stop all this fake love and fake hate. Nobody can really hate as much as they voice in 2020. From only thinking different puts you on (a so called) hit list well you're in the wrong country buddy this is still America where we should still have a open debate over ideas with a OPEN MIND willing to come to a understanding. Nobody or group is 100% correct nor they have all the facts. This is the America I remember and where we got our super powers from the willingness to learn from others through debate and the idea of including everyone I did say idea maybe why we weren't perfect
“BLM the sentiment I can get down with, BLM the organization I cannot. They are not the same thing.” Dude is so well spoken. Took the words I was thinking and put it so well.
MLK was a democratic socialist. The people who shared his vision of ending racism & marched alongside him were not all socialists, despite the propaganda being put forth from the feds that's eerily similar to now. This is the problem with right-wing reactionaries, they dont want history to be questioned because they know it's already been re-written just the way they like it. I'm center-left. I'm pro-gun and i've gone to plenty of marches with other like-minded people on that issue. This doesnt make me a god damn republican. You can paint me as a marxist & claim marx was against guns, but that'd just show how ignorant you are to what marx said about gun control ie. He was completely against it.
It is almost impossible for them to stay in shape. Some of my friends work 3/12 or 4/10 plus overtime within those hours. On their days off all they want to do is sleep/recover. Keep in mind that there are thousands of officers in the same situation and on top of that, they have needy kids and a nagging wife.😵 There is no time workout.
As a LEO, this I can agree with 100%. I’m essentially putting my life in their hands and expecting them to help. Some fat fuck is going to be a liability to the department and going to get people killed.
Yeah well they should be qualified for their job. If you are a beat cop and have to chase someone you better be able to run. If you got some desk job not so much. Either way if you are not good at your job or are abusing your position of power or a criminal yourself you should be fired and held accountable. Defund them on an individual basis when warranted not as an entire organization make the job less attractive to corrupt by having more consequences for being corrupt.
Not even. Either you’re looking in all the wrong places for common sense, or you don’t have enough common sense to see it when it’s there. Because we live in the best time ever for sharing of valid points of view. Sorry but I never liked sayings like those. ‘Back in my day...” type shit. We are better and smarter than we’ve ever been in our history. And that goes for just about everyone everywhere.
Yet notice he has to tie Texas Ideology into that "Common Sense" like he doesn't want to be kicked out of the club. Then the Marxists Communist boogeyman Ideology never once mentioning that the "Fouding Fathers" destroyed and rebuilt this nation and they had a Conservative Ideology.
Definitely but still irritating to see joe always cave into what a guest thinks. If he's going to bring up that black people are more likely to get into physical conflict with a cop then don't be a puss and ignore the elephant in the room that damn near every video we see they are resisting arrest and just like when cops do bad things to black people it creates a stereotype that cops are bad to black people, cops interactions with black people creates the same stereotypes that most black people are bad or will resist
You thick this is a rational sane conversation? This dude is batshit, wtf is a "trained Marxist" is hilarious because it makes no sense and he is infact the useful idiot he goes on to attempt describe.
Ceri Scanlon Dog it’s not that hard to understand. It’s a social political ideology. You learn about it in high school. Hopefully one day you’ll understand too.
@Adam Alperstein Yes. The sentiment behind BLM is low IQ. If those brainlets had bothered to actually look at the statistics, they would have realized that the entire premise behind their movement and its name is not only 100% false, but the exact opposite of reality.
If I were to be hired as a police officer, I’d want my boss to tell me, “hold everyone accountable. If you see anyone, your coworkers, even me doing something wrong, I want you to exercise the law.” It’s so annoying how these police officers give each other immunity or leniency. Treat everyone equal.
You should check out Heavy Duty County here on UA-cam. Has a video of two local officers arresting a high and mighty ATF agent. Very satisfying in my opinion.
Been a cop for 22 years. This episode hit home. The conversation, the sentiment, was spot on. For every good, there is bad , we can’t escape that. Thank you for having a real, genuine conversation about what it going on.
I used to be security at night clubs and cooperated with police and I can relate a lot. Whenever there was black party, trouble happened disproportionally more often and same pattern was consistent across many clubs, and that's in UK, not USA. As result management employed more securities on such parties and naturally stuff was more alert and prejudiced. Same way men cause more trouble than women, so it is common practice to refuse entry to groups of guys or single ones. Racism and sexism one would say but it works and it saves lives. I see it no different for cops, they have to profile by all sorts of factors, not just race, and profiling doesn't kill innocents. And if there are shitty cops, they do not define overwhelming majority of cops that are good. With same success I can beat up my neighbor because different neighbor stole my bike.
Charles The Deadlifter why do people always assume that every force has bad cops in it?? Maybe these people never see anything their coworkers do 24/7. Maybe they don’t work together on a daily basis. I just don’t get why people always think there MUST be bad cops on your force and you not saying anything further proves our point.
GOD? GOD WHO? YOU TALKING ABOUT THE OMNIPOTENT GOD OF ALL CREATION? THE ONE WHO CREATED THE MOSQUITO? THE DEADLIEST ANIMAL ON THE PLANET; THAT KILLS MORE INNOCENT BABIES THEN ALL OTHER DISEASES, AND ABORTION COMBINED. WHY DO YOU WORSHIP THIS EVIL GOD? BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID HE MIGHT PUNISH YOU? LOL.
Technically they still can. Whats stopping anybody from taking that out of context? Lol. Im still under the impression that joe cant be cancelled though. I think his whole fan base is smart enough to listen to the whole thing before jumping to conclussions.

I work at a gun store and there are no tactical firearms available to even order. People are buying guns who never thought they’d own one because they’re scared.
And the fear is justified! At the time this video was made hordes of people were literally destroying innocent peoples businesses because they heard a cop killed a black man iver a thousand miles away from where they are.
Good cops dont report bad ones though, not nearly enough. The fact that most police departments have the ability to do investigations into their own people is a huge red flag for me. There needs to be an independent board dedicated to police conduct and allows people with complaints to come forward to speak freely because PDs are know to intimidate those who have evidence on cops. I dont think I can truly trust cops until that thin blue line falls because its allowing people who shouldn't be cops to continue on with no fear.
@Kustard Kippers ♥️ I fear we've already ventured too far down the path of tribalism. Left vs right. My team vs your team. I'm right you're wrong. It seems impossible to have any form of actual conversation, and god forbid if you make any sort of concession in order to make everybody happy. No one is open to changing their mind anymore.
“The ultimate authority...resides in the people alone...The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation...forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition.” James Madison
This made me realize something, all my Marxist friends literally do not want any critique and are 1000% convinced they are right. I can't imagine how toxic that mentality is.
You calling your “friends” “Marxists” and assuming that all of them think they’re “1000% convinced they are right” suggests that maybe you’re someone who has the same toxic mentality you described.
Marxists just want to kill other marxists. That's the only possible logical reason why they're marxists. Nothing else has every been accomplished by marxism. So either they're so narcissistic that they think they can do better than millions of marxists over the last 100 years... Or they like killing marxists.
What even is Marxism exactly? Why is it such a deadly threat to people against BLM? I understand it’s almost like communism, but why are people taking it seriously?
Camden, New Jersey did a great job of training and retraining their cops in deescalation and community outreach. Since then crime has gone down as has police violence. It's probably the model all cities in the U.S. should follow.
4:08 " 'Black live matter', the sentiment, I can get down with; Black Lives Matter, the organization, I cannot." I wish this wasn't such a hard thing for people to understand!
Bullshit. When you speak truth to power you get smeared. You don't need a perfect messenger anyway, it's just pure deflection and attempt to undermine the movement.
Not that I'm labeling him as racist, but that shit was not reasonable. BLM is bad because founders are Marxist? Marxists have good points but right wingers think they're the devil.
@Darth Hatchet my bad, I didn't realize Capitalism was literally the best thing ever. All the ridiculously unaffordable housing, education, and healthcare we have with capitalism is actually secretly the definition of success.

That country is the closest your gonna get to a perfect Communist society and yet so many people demand Freedom and want Communism to be no more.
Joe Rogan is so important to the USA. It’s amazing how much you could learn if you’re not extreme on either side and think about things with common sense.
Family projects Santo well bc this is widely overlooked and bc leftists are so pro-unions they’d rather bite their tongue than go back on the unions that help fund their parties.
You hit the nail!!! Unions are the problem, from police unions to teachers unions to worker unions...at one time they were very, very necessary! Now they have grown into the very thing they were meant to fight, an uncompromising consolidation of power to the detriment of a particular sector of society! We need to bust up, restructure, and/or defund the unions! Then the healing of this nation can begin!
You can't criticize the cops for "disproportionately getting rough" with the same people that you refuse to criticize, who disproportionately, by a MASSIVE margin, physically resist arrest. Obviously, there are outliers, but you can't simply ignore that there's a direct cause and effect.

Duramax Dad Joe is highly intellectual but that does not equate to high intelligence, you’d understand this as true if you’d ever watch the amount of podcasts that I have. And if you have then you know it’s true. Also the people who meet this criteria are the scientists and professors he has on, that literally require them to have a high standard of intelligence to even be in their said profession. But again just because those people have high IQ doesn’t mean they all necessarily have the intellectual capability that Joe has. Some of his guests have some qualities of both, but I find it’s extremely rare to find both a psychedelic free thinker (like Joe) and an exceptional academia mind (like any of his physicists, psychologist, philosophical, etc. guests) together in one being.
I had never heard of Colion Noir, but these are some of the best conversations I've heard on the JRE, funny, intellectual, consistent progression of topics, just a really productive conversation mixed with funny anecdotes. loved it
@Hamish McIndy Are we? Remind me, who owns most of the guns in this country and has training? Which political party do most ex-military and police belong to? Pretty sure that's the right. You idiots think you're going to take over with bricks?
Things BLM stands for: "We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence." "We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable." The nuclear family structure is already largely dismantled: 74% black single motherhood rate and that's a big part of the problem today.
A fundamental factor in destroying a society is to dismantle the family unit. There's a reason when a groups conquers another group they primarily kill the men . Bc the men are the leaders and ultimate shapers of society. That the way it use to be anyways..
I’m actually glad that Rogan takes the time out to explain himself when he gives a bad explanation before. It’s why I keep watching despite my disagreements

It is a problem yes, we should shut this off. We need prison reform and to stop forcing quotas on the police to justify funding. Serve and protect has turned into harassment and they are forced and encouraged to do so because of the system the politicians have put over them. Police have shown they will follow orders so I'm of the mind that at this point they are getting bad orders. Look at commissioners, mayors, and other politicians, not the grunts. @Jeremy Askins Great statement. The whole "my truth" and "speak truth to power" moral relativist thinking and cliche society is nothing more than virtue signalling an alternate reality. I believe the collective cheese is sliding off the cracker and we have a large percentage of the population that is mentally deficient in discerning the difference between fact and perception.
@Jeremy Askins I don't know if we should disavow them, we just need to stop be afraid if being polemic. This constant "more nuance", " empathy" stuff makes it seem like truth doesn't exist. It reduces all knowledge to its phenomenological form. If our experience doesn't correspond to reality, them there's no hope.
I wish they'd protest the end of the war on drugs, or at least the war on cannabis. Something useful like that. The war on drugs alone probably accounts for 50% of all of the problems with policing and the relationship citizens have with the police. Even if you're a hard working, law abiding citizen, the police are still very much your enemy under the current law if you use any other recreational substance other than alcohol.

Brent Valleywhag analogies are not abstract thinking and they’re not always good lol. This is an example of a weak analogy. Cops are trained to prey on citizens while doctors are trained to help people
Miles Long If they were the same thing I wouldn’t have named both. Abstract thinking may be the usage of critical thinking, complex reasoning, metaphors and analogous examples. Doctors are to health improvement, as police are to crime reduction. That easier for ya?
Brent Valleywhag “crime reduction” lol ok. Look up Killology, it’s clear cops are not crime reduction. There are much more effective ways to reduce crime without having a gun.
"You can't have a conversation anymore" - you can't have a conversation anymore... with a few people whose power comes from trying to sound like the majority of people or trying to speak for them regardless of the facts. The idea that most people are just so extreme or just can't hold two concepts in their head at the same time just isn't true - a person can believe that police are necessary while believing that police have to be more accountable.
Tell y’all another good idea…Even if you get ticketed, if the officer had a good calmliness towards you, let the department know that at least he was decent towards you. Too many folks jump at complaining about bad service, but never think about letting their managers know when the service was good. 🤔
The funny thing is - he's not actually brilliant, no disrespect to him at all, it's just that what he is saying is common sense. We don't have to be brilliant or you shouldn't have to be brilliant in order to believe/understand what he is saying.
What needs to be done is continually explain to kids in school that when a cop stops you, do everything the cop tells you to do. Even if the cop makes you dance on the side of the road while rubbing green Jello all over your naked body; do what they tell you. If that cop violates your civil rights you can even use the footage from the cop's body cam to sue the cop and the departmen. By not doing everything the cop tells you , you escalate the situation.
True story. Nuance? Complexity? What is that? Everyone's having a knee jerk moment, acting on emotion and even now going so far as to attack anybody not knee-jerking with them. Emotions are high and some with good reason but this team/camp and impulse driven mentality in America is something else.
There is no nuance on the left, by definition, simply because the left puts everyone and everything into boxes and categories. They want nothing to do with individualism. And I've wondered more than once if that's because nuance and complexity is difficult, and they simply lack the mental capacity (or life experience?) to deal with it. Listening to Joe's guest is a good example, he's clearly highly intelligent and capable of objective evaluation of facts and data relating to critical issues. Then someone from the left would respond with "you're a racist/bigot/misogynist etc" categorising statement as though it addresses anything. Again I blame social media - previously the smartest people in the room had the mic platform and everyone else had to make an effort to even be in the same room to hear the smart people talk. Now the dumb people have just as big a platform, often bigger. And the media/companies/universities have realised it's far easier to make money pandering to those dummies. Long story short, social media is the downfall of mankind, no different to every other "social" push away from individualism.
They need to use the immense funding they have properly. Police refuse reform and the unions scream and cry when new training and accountability is brought up. They are angry because like every other job in America they are now being asked to take responsibility for their negative behaviors.
Yes from what I seen of the U.S police force they desperately need to be professionalised, its only like 3 months of training to be a cop U.S in developed nations its a profession, you actually have to study quite a bit of law etc
Who would want to be a police officer in these times. They couldn't pay me enough to be a cop. Why would any smart good person that would make a great police officer ever want to take that Job.
I disagree that Joe says only some people should have this "ultimate power". Police should never have ultimate power. They need to be held responsible for their actions.
Cops are trained to learn the penal law book so they know what to arrest people for. What they fail to do is to train them first on people's rights and in contrast show them how to enforce the law without violating constitutional rights. It's all about, "what can I get this guy for? I'm trying to get that OT". Because if it isn't power trip, it's based on financial gain.
@@rafa328 this is exactly right. I was trained by Virginia State Police in order to become a military police. There was no training on how to properly interact with the community in general - something you would think is very important, even in the military. It was all UCMJ law(military law), use of force, tactical, and counter-terrorism training. Not that those things don't make sense in the military. But interaction with others is very important too. There was a very distinct us vs them attitude, even amongst our fellow service men and women. Some of the worst among us used it as a rush/power trip to make arrests or compete to see how many tickets they could give. Needless to say, it wasn't for me and I went to college when I got out instead of joining a police force. However, a lot of people I know got out and became cops. Some good and some bad, but virtually all without a healthy mindset in dealing with the public. Part of this problem is that there is not proper training for healthy community interaction. It's very much fear based. The way the police system operates and trains promotes the wrong behavior. If you think about it, all government operations have a problem with customer service.

Like Colion said (I actually think it was a different clip of his on JRE), he believes in the message of "black lives matter", but does not like the organization itself. And that's the issue: when you say you oppose BLM, do you oppose the organization (that is tainted with Marxist ideology and exactly what @Dick Bing brought up), or do you oppose the overall message of "black lives matter"? When you wear something with "black lives matter" on it, what do you actually stand for? I think the racists would fall in the latter, but people like Colion falls in the former. And here's the issue: if this organization stands for something that we find abhorrent, why aren't people saying "we disagree with the organization, but not the message"? We want to fight for police reform, but we don't want system overthrow (which is happening in Minneapolis and Seattle). We want an end to police brutality, but not an end to policing.
That’s how 99% of people think but we’re all racist so who cares
And the funny thing is no ever said their lives didn’t matter. This is the mother of all straw man.
I think the phrase you're looking for is "he summed up all my thoughts"
The statement or some of the protests I don’t mind, but the organization, no
Police officer's should be required to stay in shape!!
*They should be required to stay in condition, that doesn’t necessarily mean shape
A lot of young cops are meatheads who are working out all the time
It is almost impossible for them to stay in shape.
Hearing good sense isnt like a breath of fresh air anymore, its like finding a diamond.

I'm gonna start using that answer when people ask me if I support Black Lives Matter. "The Sentiment, yes. The Organization, No."
Agreed
Agreed
But the sentiment is based on bigotry and bullshit, why would you support that?
@Adam Alperstein Yes. The sentiment behind BLM is low IQ. If those brainlets had bothered to actually look at the statistics, they would have realized that the entire premise behind their movement and its name is not only 100% false, but the exact opposite of reality.
@Adam Alperstein You project way too much.
Nope. After all the PC bureau training furst thing they learn is its a brotherhood, us vs them mentality instilled.
You should check out Heavy Duty County here on UA-cam. Has a video of two local officers arresting a high and mighty ATF agent. Very satisfying in my opinion.
Who's giving who leniency? Fake outrage.
Been a cop for 22 years. This episode hit home. The conversation, the sentiment, was spot on. For every good, there is bad , we can’t escape that. Thank you for having a real, genuine conversation about what it going on.
Thank you for your service. Cops are becoming more and more underappreciated and you guys deserve more respect.
Did you ever report bad cops for misconduct or corruption?

By not doing everything the cop tells you , you escalate the situation.
. I’d say what need to happen is for police to be better trained and to be held accountable.

True story. Nuance? Complexity? What is that? Everyone's having a knee jerk moment, acting on emotion and even now going so far as to attack anybody not knee-jerking with them. Emotions are high and some with good reason but this team/camp and impulse driven mentality in America is something else.
What? You want people to think before they act on their emotions. How dare you!
*Sarcasm
@john doe who on the left talks about nuance or compromise?
It's so nice hearing adults having pertinent, reasonable, respectful discussions.
I agree. It's a breathe of fresh air.
Amen to that
Best joe rogan podcast so far . Spoke true words on police brutality and reorganization on police training
This past weekend in Chicago, Seattle and NYC is evidence we need more funding to train cops the proper way, not to defund or dismantle the police.
That is the content in which ppl are speaking of
They need to use the immense funding they have properly. Police refuse reform and the unions scream and cry when new training and accountability is brought up. They are angry because like every other job in America they are now being asked to take responsibility for their negative behaviors.
Officers in nyc are paid really well. The system itself 8s rotten
Yes from what I seen of the U.S police force they desperately need to be professionalised, its only like 3 months of training to be a cop U.S in developed nations its a profession, you actually have to study quite a bit of law etc

Thank you for saying that
Like in Minneapolis?
It takes 2 years to cut hair and it takes 3-6 months to become a fully fledged police officer
This gentleman is the BEST example of a good American and a good person... Conscientious, intelligent, aware... Props
I’m glad we have Joe Rogan to rationalize and articulate logic instead of the hysteria of the rest of the world.

"Rogan previously said in January 2020, “I’ve been liberal my whole life.” During his March 2021 conversation with Baker, Rogan added, “I’m very liberal. I’m socially very liberal.” Rogan added that he is a “big supporter of the military, big supporter of the 2nd amendment.”
Rogan, talking to comedian and progressive political commentator Jimmy Dore, “I’ve never voted right wing in my life. I voted Democrat, I voted independent. I’m not right wing at all. There’s nothing about me that’s right wing. I think there’s a lot of right-wing family values that I admire. But when it gets to homophobia, when it gets to women’s rights, that’s where I break.”"

How about you go down to the protests ,because most people aren’t doing that. While the protest here in Syracuse was marching from downtown through a neighbor. An INDIVIDUAL ripped a thin blue line flag from a house. 200 people yelled at him to put it back and it was put back. Stop generalizing a movement based on obviously negative people dummy
Let's ask the question... How can they abolish the nuclear family? What is the strategy?
@@demstudios5799 We're not talking about the violence.
We're talking about the organization that is leading these peaceful protests, and the message that everyone seems to ignore.
We also want cultural changes, but it needs to start with BOTH the police force and the black community.
Look at Joe wearing a glock shirt... chameleon to whoever is on

imagine a gun owner wearing his gun-shirt when he invites a gun-nut to talk about gun-laws. It's almost like joe tries to have interesting conversations with people for a living and dresses to put guests at ease.
Colion is a smart well-spoken man who thinks logically. Wish there were more people like him. One of my biggest beliefs is to take everything on a case by case basis, and I feel like we would be better off with more people who think similarly.
Also statistically black / brown people more often get physical with the cops so change has to happen on both side of that
