My guess before seen the bike... DTX 360 ... Been thinking about the bike and locally have one for sale on 1k km 1 year old for 4.5k €
Another way of transmitting the mechanical power from the transmission to the real wheel is with endless line of gear wheels .. Burgman 650 was that way, the BMW C650 engine was with chain but it was enclosed and in oil bath. The T-max is with belt, like the AK 550. Interesting but the Silver Wing 600 Honda was with normal CVT setup. The old Kymco Myroad 700 too.
There are a lot of versions, for simplicity I prefer the normal CVT setup.

I love the AK550 always wanted you to test one, I had an 2018 one and it was amazing. Looking forward a long trip want to hear about the handling! i think it handle insane for a scooter! ❤
Both the mid mounted engine scooters I have ridden (TL and AK) handle superbly, it's just the dinamics of having all the weight in the frame in the middle. Full review coming up on Sunday and then the road trip because I have a lot of footage from the road trip to go through and that takes time 😂

Thanks for showing the AK 550. It is almost certainly my next scooter. I currently ride the X-Town 300i ABS and I really like it.
I see what you mean by it being a 2 cylinder engine compared to a single cylinder engine on a scooter. I rode a Suzuki Burgman 650 with the twin cylinder engine which was smooth compared to my single cylinder engine Burgman 400.
Hope and dreams here I come! It has only 53k ! Model name is Yaget Gt 200i, same scooter as New Dink 200i. It got oil changes at 2k and air filter at 6k(also oil filter and gear oil)!
It will get to 60k 😁

It's hard to compare them because of the price difference but both have their strong points
@@RideWithAlex Right, from my perspective as a buyer and owner of a TL the price difference makes sense because of added functionality, where the AK is loaded with Cruise Control, Drive Modes, Connectivity with the central display, Electric windshield control. While the TL doesn’t have any of that hence the lower price. But from my point of view those scooters are “built” the same meaning the fuel tank is in the same place, the seating should be similar, performance on paper is similar and that’s also what I’m curious about how does the driving dynamic compare? :D
@@filipovic103 Your TL has a chain final transmission, while the AK has a belt. This is a big difference in terms of comfort and maintenance.
nice bike, just curious how easy it is to maneuver in the city.. I'm convinced outside is as comfortable as a big bike, maybe more.
Is it as easy as the 350 you've got or feels more like the GS you've got at home?
But can it be the only bike or is it mostly the weekend getaway bike?
Very easily can be your only bike, it's not any more difficult around town then any 300cc scooter. Although it is heavy it caries it's weight very low and is very easy to maneuver. Like I said, it felt just as easy around the city as my E350 or a Cruisym 300

As always with big maxi scooters, is if you can handle the weight slow manouvering or parking. Good points I noticed: audible indicator clicker, cruise control, good windscreen, final drive by drive belt, and CVT.
Small, distant mirrors are a negative. I suspect this model is aimed to compete with the Yamaha TMax Techmax, at a much lower price.
Yea, the T-Max Tech Max is it's main competition. Unfortunately I haven't ridden the Yamaha yet.

This was a great first impressions review, but the audio quality lacked your other recent videos quality sadly. Please try to fix it, because this machine makes a great noise.😊
I just can't wait to show us this scooter detailed around, it seems interesting. I wonder how much storage space has it got, and how much practicality do you loose (if any) for this extra power.
The dashboard seems a little bit crowded with all those gadgets and screens.🤔
I'm glad that your other videos doesn't contain a scoot with this drizzling screen...my eyes went insane after a while watching you ride.😖😵

Se simt la fel ca tinuta. Franele se simt putin mai bine pe AK

Thank you, apparently they have been following me for a while and when @bucharestbiketraffic put in a good word for me it sealed the deal, best part is we will be seeing more of Kymco on the channel.
I have to admit that the number plate on the Daytona scooter is absurdly large 😅 In Poland we have smaller ones, and for 50cc bikes/scooters they are even smaller.
That is just a temporary license plate. That's how large they are here, regular plate is normal sized for motorcycles
@@RideWithAlex Ok. That makes sense. P.S. I used to own for a few years this Kymco Dink 200 scooter and fitted a Kappa high windscreen to it. I sold my Dink in 2018. Nice scooter but too slow for me so I switched to Kymco Downtown 300 (also just for a couple of years).

@@JohnnyBg2905 Really? Perhaps, in your country, the number of cylinders is related to registration costs. Here is not. Only the capacity, power and vehicle weight would be taken into consideration when it comes to taxes and insurance. Here we basically pay for registration certificate and for registration plates, but the costs are cheap. But if you're so in love with single cylinder bikes, then just wait until Zontes would come on market with its new 500 cc single cylinder scooters. Or should I say vibrators?
Other feeling other vibrations other sound engine smoother and easier sense of power... the Ak engine is a little masterpiece... probably the best engine of this Scooter category.
Kymco knows to create strong power and reliable engines ..
I'm owner of a DtX 360 a single cylinder 320cc also a high level Kymco scooter , great G5 engine, excellent transmission , fast and stable , strong brakes , TCS , soft plastics excellent assembly .... Kymco s standard of quality is a little beat higher closer to Japanese brands....

Da am mai vazut asta intr un video tot din Romania, probabil au schimbat la model acesta, eu am modelul 2019 si la mine este invers si chiar am cautat si pe net si la modelul 2017-2022 zice peste tot ca galben este Rain Mode…

Salut,flicareala o rezolvi din shutter,dar trebuie sa faci expunerea manual,și nu ai cum sa faci asta și sa și conduci.
Îmi angajez cameraman profesionist cu un black magic pe umăr și îl iau pasager sa ma filmeze 😂😂😂. Din păcate asta e situația ne descurcam cum putem cu un gopro și trepiede, trăiască trepiedul cel mai bun cameraman 😂
Vin eu,am doar Sony a7IV 🤣,prind experiență sa filmez pentru Turu Franței și Giro🤣

Schimba frecventa nu FPS-ul daca are optiunea ... la Sony/Xiaomy "camerele video sport" ai 50 sau 60 Hz.
Am incercat 25-30-50-60 fps, la fel face cu orice setare.

@@Gremlinsro Hz - Frecvente / Fps - tot frecventa. Anti flicker am pormit permanent. Cunosc de ce face ideea e ca bordul nu merge ca luminile din perete la priza sa functioneze pe curent de 50hz (europa) sau 60hz ( America de nord) de aici si acele standarde Pal si NTSC. Este un bord de scuter poate functiona pe nu stiu ce frecventa ciudata care nu e nici 50 nici 60
You’re not gonna solve flickering problem by changing frame rate. You should change refresh rate. If you are on 50Hz, you should change on 60 Hz
Refresh rates are for monitors, cameras has frame rates. I can't change the refresh rate of the display to match the camera I have the camera to match the display but displays are plugged into the wall and operate at the frequency of your wall power, this is not plugged into the wall it's a scooter
Be prepared, Sofia has awful traffic and my fellow citizens are aggressive, not like the other drivers from Bulgaria. I guess it's the same as Bucharest
Sofia is actually calmer then Bucharest :))

I wonder if it's really worth the price of more than two 350E...
It has the extra power and cruise control but let's say I'm happy with my 350E
If you want to compare it with Honda, then it is Forza 750. But that has a lot less features than the AK.
Above 95, does not mean 95. It means anything above 95.
Well it ran just fine for 1400km that I had it on 95 😁
