I:P Masquerena gives protection against destruction by your opponent's card effects to whatever used it as Link material, even if you do not use its effect to Link Summon on your opponent's turn. It is usually free to go into I:P for Atypus and can simply win you the game if your opponent does not have non-destruction removal. The only thing you have to be careful of is it puts a Dark monster in the GY, which if your opponent is running Branded, the Dark Charmer Link, or even Monster Reborn, can cause you issues. I:P is also in the deck for Mekk Knight Crusadia Avramax, as it with protection from I:P can be a win condition in and of itself, if your opponent does not have an out to it. Thanks for the question!
