- This is part 2 of a walkthrough of every patch in the ProjectSAM Swing More! library. Part 1 was brass and reeds here - • Swing More! Project SA... , this is the rest of the library - guitars, percussion, piano, strings and vocals. And despite what I say at the end, there is more - multis are here - • Swing More! ProjectSAM... . Thanks to ProjectSAM for the review copy.
Guy, OUTSTANDING in-depth exploration of Swing More! I was trying to decide whether to buy it, and your tutorial settled for me -- I am! I am sure I will be referring back to this in the future. I love your style, and of course your humor! Thanks so much!!
Guy - I just wanted to say I have been following your reviews for years and I absolutely *love* your in-depth, straightforward, down-to-business practical, composer-oriented approach. Thanks so much for all your hard work! :)
Tim, what a lovely thing to say - I usually think I'm just mucking about, badly, so it's great to hear, thank you.
Thank you for these wonderfully in-depth videos. As a novice of Kontakt, seeing all the possibilities in action is invaluable to me. Best of luck and keep up the amazing work (please?)!
Great review, as always.
Demand a keyboard from ProjectSam!!!!!! :)
With all the sales you've given them, that shouldn't be a problem.
I will definitely get this library if it goes on sale around christmas!
its on sale now!
@@osymmusic I know, I already bought it :D
thanks for the tip though :)
Thanks for these in depth look ins, Guy.
A comment on the way the drum grooves are implemented: I think if one were using this in conjunction with charts and live players, what they are calling 100 bpm would actually be written at 200 bpm so the players would be reading eighth notes and not sixteenths.
Dont know if that change could be accomplished in software or not, but that might be a handy option.
You have a 0.5x and 2x option, so that should help?
It would indeed !
Aside from owning Swing More I only come here to hear Phil Cornwell do a run through of the software 😝👍 x
I've always wondered why it was that when sample libraries include chords, they so often leave out augmented chords.
Thanks for the walkthrough Guy!
I can't understand why the strings sound so 'meh' in Swing more!
The strings are truly shitty
Wow , so much Benny Goodman in those drums
Guy, Woud on be able to play the drum samples on an electronic drumset?
I don't see why not - I don't honestly know much about them, but I'd be amazed if you couldn't map the drums to the appropriate keys. The mapping here is standard GM which is good news, again I'd have thought that's a default for electronic kits.
Dear Guy,
Great! - Thank you for you reply!
All the best
Rune
I don't like the strings ensample in this library
