Tell me how much better than going full 1-3 star the Vlad trial was.

Paracelsus isnt a launch servant. He was added in London. Nero, Phantom and George were the other launch arts DPS units though they didnt have the bad scaling like Vlad and Medea(Euryale was in the files but she wasnt summoneable until Okeanos came out) Paracelsus is just worse because he came in after two whole main chapters and various events had already gone by...
At least Paracelsus actually hits multiple enemies like an AOE should. Medea can't even do that right. If Arash is a single target Servant that hits multiple enemies, Medea is an AOE servant that only hits one enemy.
I’ve always kinda treated Berserkers as a “filler” class to use until I get a more specific/niche pick to replace them with in more specific situations. I don’t think they’re “bad” so much as a class meant to fill in blanks. The more niches you have covered and filled, the less you’ll use them.
I think like you too. Like, I never use a berserk against a lancer no more as I do have plenty options for sabers, which usually do better with less effort put into team building. Unless, that is, they're mixed with other classes

Not sure if others feel the same but I also find that already having a bunch of super strong servants allows me the freedom to just roll for whoever I want regardless of quality. When I first started playing I played with whoever I wanted, then when I got meta servants I stuck to them, now I’m funny enough back to playing with whoever I want(being an “experienced” player probably helps with that too)
I actually find that I have a hard time justifying bringing anything but my berserktoria when its so easy to just slap black grail on her and brute force through 99% of quests, but she's definitely the exception rather than the rule.
I feel this way too. 99% of the time I just brute force the fights with my NP5 Morgan. The other servants only get use time when she fails. Will try to NP5 Berserker Artoria when she comes to NA because of how ridículous she is.
Problem is that we don't even have good single-target for every type of scenario, that's when Berserker shines, even after all those years the free NP5 Jalter is carrying alot of accounts, Vlad is one of the best Loopers in game that received buff after buff and the list goes on
I really wish berserkers had class damage appends instead of the crit resistance they currently have. That would give the more boring berserkers (especially lower rarity ones you probably have a lot of coins for) at least something to differentiate themselves with. It would also make it feel like you have a reason to use X single target berserker over Y single target berserker in different quests, as a lot of them feel almost interchangeable.
I wish the incoming damage would be 1.5x and not 2x considering the output is 1.5x as well. But yeah, giving them a niche to do more damage to certain classes would be really nice.
Galatea's still my favorite servant. She loves me back, too. Got her to NP4 with only tickets and dailies, and she even spooked me once. Couldn't recommend her enough, especially if you have Reines, who in some cases can even get an invincible comp going with her and Castoria.

As you said, they're mostly a filler class, meant to cover for situations where your account would normally be doing neutral damage. I use my lvl 100 NP5 Nyalter pretty much every time I have to kill an Alter Ego boss because I don't have any Pretenders on NA. She's also done some work on Pretender bosses (granted we've only had 2 so far) because my only Foreigner is Koyan Dark, who I didn't have yet during LB6. Even on Assassin bosses, she tends to do as much damage as my NP2 Xuanzang while having MUCH better crits. Granted she's Quick, so she doesn't have the Vlad problem of "just" being an NP bot and can crit a lot more reliably. My lvl 100 Kiyohime, on the other hand... She's really not aged well AT ALL. She needs an NP buff badly just to be decent.

This was the first video of yours I saw. Really enjoy your analysis. The pacing of the video is really good too. This clearly had a lot of work put into it. Even the music/sound choices had clear thought put in. Using Donkey Kong music to score the initial overview was a particularly nice touch. Hope you decide to do another vid like this in the future.
Only time I ever bring my ST zerks out are for interludes or story missions, cause I can't be bothered to look up which class is mob or boss. Typically brute force through every fight until I hit a brick wall I can't punch through.
I mostly just use st zerks for either farming when there are very conflicting 90+ classes like saber and archer or having a ruler. Rare to get any use of any other one besides sololing heracles.
I clicked on this video not knowing what game it was about, I still don't even know \*the name of the game\*, let alone any of the technical stuff you mentioned, was thoroughly entertained throughout, good video
Oh boy. That got rough for Vlad after a while. But you are right. He has managed to hang around despite power creep and some wild shifts in meta supports. But it's a good question to ponder. AOE is fine. Summer Ibuki is obviously a monster. But Morgan is insane for so much content too. Single target really needs to keep pushing in order to keep up. And then they release someone like Draco and that changes the whole picture!
Just as a heads up the reason the video was taking so long to render was the spinning animation in the background of the video for the talking interludes and overall flashy movements of the gameplay. If you have something that is constantly moving like that in such a way it messes with how the video renders and takes a much longer time to finish. There is a lot of technical mumbo jumbo to explain that but basically movement has a TERRIBLE impact on render time. Most videos that get published are general stream/gameplay videos without a whole lot of movement that affects the entire screen. If you want to have a 20 minute video not take an entire day to render consider using static backgrounds during chat interludes and less flashy bits of gameplay.
Very good video. Honestly my ST needs are solved by my lvl 100 Salieri and my 120 Van Gogh, while aoe is resolved by 2 kaleidoscopes, 1bg, arcueid, and boyager with salieri sprinkled on top
I've been rocking Morgan and she's my favorite Servant now, she makes farming easy so I can grind events easier and she's great on most story quests that don't have a boss but even then if I can kill something in three turns then she is my best opinion. I understand that Berserkers may not be the Strongest but I still love Morgan despite the class weakness so while this video is correct I'ma stay on that Berserker train
The advantage Vlad has is higher NP level. After the 3rd time he ganks you in someone else's banner, he usually does more damage than other ST berserker.
Vlad's typically the reliable and low-floor, high-DPS way to put a team together that can 3T any 90+ content with 6 drop CEs .....until some unreleased servants show up in the far future. Castoria-Vlad-Filler_Arts_AoE-Castoria is the simplest reliable option and veterans likely already have him at NP2. Worth pointing out damage niches usually can't apply to both single target enemies at once so servants that rely on that can end up lacking. Whether it's 3-1-1 2-1-1 1-3-1 or 2-2-1, as long as you pick a good filler like Spish or S.Kama, this comp works for anything at the 90+ class. So his niche is literally 'Entry level 90+ multicore team'. I think he really comes in handy for me. Thanks to him I can be so lazy when it comes to farming.

@@Ottobean Gen Pool anything is passive and by endgame you can accumulate about NP3 by current on a boomer account depending on which one keeps showing up. He's even a 2X ticket option if you really wanted to only need one spook. For needing 2X NP, Ryouma, Shiki, and Kage (Chloe is surprisingly rough on reload) struggle with charge especially when if we're talking meta you are looking to 6s no starting charge. Gacha luck could give you Galatea, which would also be fine, but Vlad has been out longer for passive accumulation on a nearly decade old game. Max Heph is about the same output on less expected spook/ticket investment but she has a shorter timeline, especially in EN. If you're talking about CQs, then yeah he's trash at any NP level and gets clowned by welfares with proper counter class but like the game is 99% farming.

I'm not F2P on JP, it's been playing for like 4 years now, and I've gotten spooked more by Galatea than Vlad. 99% of the game being farming is also bullshit unless you're a degen who believes farming 200+ boxes per lotto is required. The story in total takes several hundred hours for an average player to read, and then there are a lot of quests people get stuck on because of difficulty

When I'm against a lancer, I select my sabers, berserkers and extra classes. When I'm against casters, I look into my riders, berserkers and extra classes. I'm not Min Maxing... I'm having fun and sometimes, even if its not as effective, it's *fun* to send Vlad to Kazikli the Bey outta someone. Or for my Grailed Bunyan to stomp on a mf. Simple as.

Counter point, if my berserker worked one year ago for the challenge quest why would I literally ever waste quartz to roll for any saber,archer,rider,etc class who just does the same thing except is way more niche and you actually need to think about when you can use them or not. If I used castoria summer for that challenge quest why would I ever roll for any other class? And yes Vlad is worse but hes still functionally the same in farming and most other cases he just has less long term survivability than the power creep version of himself but still has master skills, merlin, and castoria to be immortal anyway. You say its a challenge to use berserker but I find the effort saved in team select far outweighs the alleged difficulty of having class advantage against everything when you are invul every turn anyway. You save so much quartz, team swapping, brain power, sheer amount of characters you need to invest and therefore time spent playing and farming the game or atleast you can redirect your attention more towards characters you like than building a boss killer in every class, the game is just so damn easy when you just spam berserkers the way you frame the video is just completely wrong lol. I'm an old na player and when I started to play jp I just got meta supports and only roll for berserkers and extra class, its the best way to play the game by far I wish I did this from the start on na too rather than having a bunch of servants I barely use or build
Vlad is a very strong and consistent farming unit to this day, the emphasis on his competition having a bunch of CQ utility is a bit misplaced. Vlad is not, and will never be a CQ focused unit (unless if they buff him again). He will never be the best unit for any given situation, but unless if you are a leviathan with every unit in the game (or have a higher investment copy of another very powerful ST Arts looper), it's easy to find value for him.
berserker has 1.1 damage multiplier and higher atk stat then normal class too so if that ssr berserker got np SQuest there is high chance they will do more np damage even than 2X class advantage
Other servants cant outclass my NP5 vlad that I could slowly build up since he was one of the earliest servant to exist if I don't have them to begin with. Also he s still up to this day my strongest single target art.
You use Kijo Koyo because dinosaurs are cool, that's a good enough reason. But yes, I wish they buffed her with the ongoing banner. I don't know though.
I have a question is it worth going for np 5 berserker ibuki, or should I just get one copy of ruler skadi and proto merlin, I already got castoria,Oberon and koyan and skadi caster.
Worth rolling is always up to you, even gameplay wise, it often depends on how you play the game. I am not as impressed with S. Ibuki as most, but she is definitely a top tier AoE farmer for looping and is really good at multicore. I think her CQ is dependent on the Arts support for defense. Which can be an issue sometimes, but usually isn't.
If you already have a good boss clearing team and don’t need quick support np 5 berserker ibuki can go far. Lady Avalon has more banner coming up after summer

Vlad carried my ass through a smack down fight with woodwose so he at least deserves credit for that.
Only time I ever bring my ST zerks out are for interludes or story missions, cause I can't be bothered to look up which class is mob or boss. Typically brute force through every fight until I hit a brick wall I can't punch through.
I hardly use Vlad anymore because mine is bond 13 and since he was my first SSR he is NP4.

I mostly just use st zerks for either farming when there are very conflicting 90+ classes like saber and archer or having a ruler. Rare to get any use of any other one besides sololing heracles.

Oh boy. That got rough for Vlad after a while. But you are right. He has managed to hang around despite power creep and some wild shifts in meta supports.
But it's a good question to ponder. AOE is fine. Summer Ibuki is obviously a monster. But Morgan is insane for so much content too. Single target really needs to keep pushing in order to keep up. And then they release someone like Draco and that changes the whole picture!
Just as a heads up the reason the video was taking so long to render was the spinning animation in the background of the video for the talking interludes and overall flashy movements of the gameplay. If you have something that is constantly moving like that in such a way it messes with how the video renders and takes a much longer time to finish. There is a lot of technical mumbo jumbo to explain that but basically movement has a TERRIBLE impact on render time. Most videos that get published are general stream/gameplay videos without a whole lot of movement that affects the entire screen. If you want to have a 20 minute video not take an entire day to render consider using static backgrounds during chat interludes and less flashy bits of gameplay.

Very good video. Honestly my ST needs are solved by my lvl 100 Salieri and my 120 Van Gogh, while aoe is resolved by 2 kaleidoscopes, 1bg, arcueid, and boyager with salieri sprinkled on top
I've been rocking Morgan and she's my favorite Servant now, she makes farming easy so I can grind events easier and she's great on most story quests that don't have a boss but even then if I can kill something in three turns then she is my best opinion. I understand that Berserkers may not be the Strongest but I still love Morgan despite the class weakness so while this video is correct I'ma stay on that Berserker train
I feel like the best way to help the Berserker overall would be to change the x2 damage they take to a 1.5 to match their advantage damage.

Vlad's typically the reliable and low-floor, high-DPS way to put a team together that can 3T any 90+ content with 6 drop CEs .....until some unreleased servants show up in the far future. Castoria-Vlad-Filler_Arts_AoE-Castoria is the simplest reliable option and veterans likely already have him at NP2. Worth pointing out damage niches usually can't apply to both single target enemies at once so servants that rely on that can end up lacking.
Whether it's 3-1-1 2-1-1 1-3-1 or 2-2-1, as long as you pick a good filler like Spish or S.Kama, this comp works for anything at the 90+ class.
So his niche is literally 'Entry level 90+ multicore team'. I think he really comes in handy for me. Thanks to him I can be so lazy when it comes to farming.

Vlad's niche is being a cheap option that can reach even some 90++ caps at NP3 without relying on niche or a specific limited NP5 SR counter class
how tf is an NP3 SSR a cheap option? even at NP3 he gets outdone by a lot of ST arts welfares
@@Ottobean Gen Pool anything is passive and by endgame you can accumulate about NP3 by current on a boomer account depending on which one keeps showing up. He's even a 2X ticket option if you really wanted to only need one spook. For needing 2X NP, Ryouma, Shiki, and Kage (Chloe is surprisingly rough on reload) struggle with charge especially when if we're talking meta you are looking to 6s no starting charge. Gacha luck could give you Galatea, which would also be fine, but Vlad has been out longer for passive accumulation on a nearly decade old game. Max Heph is about the same output on less expected spook/ticket investment but she has a shorter timeline, especially in EN.
If you're talking about CQs, then yeah he's trash at any NP level and gets clowned by welfares with proper counter class but like the game is 99% farming.
@@michaelabere6770 the gen pool argument is always really dumb. I'm not F2P on JP, it's been playing for like 4 years now, and I've gotten spooked more by Galatea than Vlad.
99% of the game being farming is also bullshit unless you're a degen who believes farming 200+ boxes per lotto is required. The story in total takes several hundred hours for an average player to read, and then there are a lot of quests people get stuck on because of difficulty

Hijikata for me is able to do unreasonable amounts of damage in 1 turn. This is good for things that require 1 turn to beat it. (Chen-gong+Hijikata) 😂

Counter point, if my berserker worked one year ago for the challenge quest why would I literally ever waste quartz to roll for any saber,archer,rider,etc class who just does the same thing except is way more niche and you actually need to think about when you can use them or not. If I used castoria summer for that challenge quest why would I ever roll for any other class? And yes Vlad is worse but hes still functionally the same in farming and most other cases he just has less long term survivability than the power creep version of himself but still has master skills, merlin, and castoria to be immortal anyway.
You say its a challenge to use berserker but I find the effort saved in team select far outweighs the alleged difficulty of having class advantage against everything when you are invul every turn anyway. You save so much quartz, team swapping, brain power, sheer amount of characters you need to invest and therefore time spent playing and farming the game or atleast you can redirect your attention more towards characters you like than building a boss killer in every class, the game is just so damn easy when you just spam berserkers the way you frame the video is just completely wrong lol. I'm an old na player and when I started to play jp I just got meta supports and only roll for berserkers and extra class, its the best way to play the game by far I wish I did this from the start on na too rather than having a bunch of servants I barely use or build
Vlad is a very strong and consistent farming unit to this day, the emphasis on his competition having a bunch of CQ utility is a bit misplaced. Vlad is not, and will never be a CQ focused unit (unless if they buff him again). He will never be the best unit for any given situation, but unless if you are a leviathan with every unit in the game (or have a higher investment copy of another very powerful ST Arts looper), it's easy to find value for him.

berserker has 1.1 damage multiplier and higher atk stat then normal class too so if that ssr berserker got np SQuest there is high chance they will do more np damage even than 2X class advantage
Other servants cant outclass my NP5 vlad that I could slowly build up since he was one of the earliest servant to exist if I don't have them to begin with.
Also he s still up to this day my strongest single target art.

I have a question is it worth going for np 5 berserker ibuki, or should I just get one copy of ruler skadi and proto merlin, I already got castoria,Oberon and koyan and skadi caster.
Worth rolling is always up to you, even gameplay wise, it often depends on how you play the game. I am not as impressed with S. Ibuki as most, but she is definitely a top tier AoE farmer for looping and is really good at multicore. I think her CQ is dependent on the Arts support for defense. Which can be an issue sometimes, but usually isn't.
If you already have a good boss clearing team and don’t need quick support np 5 berserker ibuki can go far. Lady Avalon has more banner coming up after summer
I can guarentee. None of my ST Berserkers do anywhere near as much Damage as my NP4 120 2000/2000 Sheba
