Beautiful card. I will give your washi tape masking technique…US postage keeps going up so your tip will be a wonderful technique to add dimension without bulk. Than you for sharing
Jill, I just love the red rubber stamps from PB - especially with this technique. This year I used “Warm Reception” as my Christmas card design. And you know me I just had to zhoosh it up. I stamped with antique linen distress ink and the watercolored with my distress inks. But I did stop there. I put in detail with my colored pencils and then added glittered snow. I trimmed the edge of my card panel with my gold pen and backed it with red card stock. As with all PB stamps the results were beautiful even if I do say so myself 😉. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a happy healthy 2024!🎉
Such a lovely card! Do ever use Distress Oxide ink for painting? I don’t remember you mentioning it at all. I know it’s more opaque, so maybe it wouldn’t work as well.
Beautiful! Can we stamp (any brushstroke) with the archival ink first, i always have trouble seeing where one part of the image stops and the other one starts.
Thanks for watching! For the bird, I've used a mix of Distress Reinkers in the colors of Evergreen Bough, Weathered Wood, Spiced Marmalade and Rusty Hinge. -Jill
Thanks for watching! You can often get the ink applied with regular sized ink pads, especially if you turn them to the side or use the corner of the ink pad at an angle. You can also use waterbased markers to apply color to the stamp. Finger-daubers *might* work, but may not be able to apply quite enough ink for a detailed impression. Happy stamping! -Jill
Lovely.
So cute! Love it!
Very pretty card...
I absolutely love this card! And I can see the bird being used for a number of different occasions!
Gorgeous card.
Beautiful card. Your brushstroke stamping is always amazing.
Absolutely beautiful
I'm typically not real big on birds, but this is truly beautiful!! You used wonderful colors. I really love that bluish gray on the bird!
That's a lovely card Jill... I have that die set but not the bough which I think would be very useful so shop here we come... (again!)... :)
Beautiful card. You are amazing . Thank you.
Gorgeous! Your painting on the bird really made it look as if it was molded! Thanks for the inspiration!
This is probably the most beautiful card I’ve ever seen! ❤️

Thanks! I actual don't have any Distress Oxide inks. (Gasp!)LOL. But if I give it a try, I'll have to post about it.
Stunning
Thanks so much, Carron!
SOOOO fabulous! I'm putting this cute little birdie on my wishlist! The light blue that you began with...what kind of ink?
Thanks! It was Ranger Archival Ink (mini size) Sky Blue. Happy creating! -Jill
Where can I find the PITT artist pen in black?
Beautiful! Can we stamp (any brushstroke) with the archival ink first, i always have trouble seeing where one part of the image stops and the other one starts.
Yep! If you use a very light ink you can add other colors on top of it. Also, having the stamp packaging handy can be helpful. -Jill
What colors of distress reinkers did you use for the bird? I checked the blog & it doesn't list them.

Gorgeous! Could finger daubers and regular size ink pads be used if we don't have small ink pads?
