- This is the last show Lord Finesse performed with Lamont “Big L” Coleman just 9 days before Lamont was gunned down in Harlem. Shown here performing their classic Yes You May and some A Capella raps, Big L showcases his legendary and ferocious MC skills. I made a two angle edit from two different sources on UA-cam and edited them together / properly labeled this. Enjoy. If this is your first time seeing Big L... highly recommended and one of my favorite lyricists of all time.
Better than jay z on 7 min freestyle
I said it before and I'll say it again had Big L lived they would be Jay-Z .
@@metalmike252 this comment makes no fucking sense even tho you edited it
@@krzysztof4607 LMAOOOO
ANYONE IN THAT ERA WAS BETTER THEN JAY Z ON THE 7MIN FREESTYLE, damn! Sorry but true!
Jayz trash bro Big L the 🐐 it isnt a comparison
Big L would have given us decades of fire if fate went in a different direction. We lost one of the best the day L passed. Rest in Power 💯🫡
The rap game was bout to be next-level if L lived...Nas was sweating for a bit😂
LEGENDARY! Big L set the bar way too high. These rhymes will never die.
Crazy to think he died a couple days after this. RIP BIG L
Eminem had also preformed and freestyle’d at this same venue a month before and honestly L’s is way better 🤷🏽♂️
Killed 8 days later smh. This was a Saturday, he died on the Monday the next week 11.15pm.
Killed a week later…Rip Big L
His killer killed him, than months later, his killer died. In the same area, Fucking Karma
@@keonatkinson2511 part of that is true he was killed in the same area but in 2016 not months after L died
He got so nice around this time
Was always nice
@@ITISOKIUNDERSTAND37 He got so much better at flowing fast.
Before Big L was a slow rapper.
By 1998, Big L got better at rapping fast is what he meant.
@@historyisthebestmyfans2094 It’s easy to tell where Eminem got his fast rapping from. Very similar with how they could go hella fast but you can hear every word.
@@billycherokee7630 Eminem basically copied Big L's style
@@billycherokee7630Ok nice. Now do you hear Lord Finesse in Big L's raps?
Big l is a real lyricist in 50 years of hip Hop rap music 🎵🎶
Yo I never actually seen him performing
Big L rest in peace ✌🏿🐐
The only rapper close to him today is Papoose
"I'm so ahead of my time, my parents haven't met yet!" He didn't just set the bar, he broke it! RIP.
Only because the way how big L was rapping remind me of like the next Jay-Z
god give us back big l and will give u lanz pierce !!!!
And just the next day he was in the works of getting signed to Rocafella. Crazy.... He would've been such a Harlem legend with the second album
The alternate reality in which Big L didn't die is one I would pay top dollar to visit.
Word!!! He was different
Need the portal gun from Rick & Morty
LEGEND!!!
20 weeks later 23 years ago, Rip corleone
Awww helll nah I forgot about this video, this is just proof he was just hitting his prime and about to go worldwide at the time of his death. In my eyes he’s the greatest rapper ever seeing he was so good since the beginning of his career and he was only getting started. R.I.P Lamont you left your mark on hip hop brother. L
L was basically an underrated battle rapper with punchlines for days. People need to understand why he didn't get the same amount of hype as Pac and Big. He wasn't on their level but damn near close.
nah. he was so high at that time that nobody understood him. I got a feeling L would’ve had serious competition with Eminem in 99-02. Somewhere around that time
@@03kodahills88 Right on the money here.
he was far above them other cats
This wasnt in 1999 I'm pretty sure
Pretty sure it was and I'd like to see you prove otherwise.
It was, a few weeks before he got killed, this first verse ended up on The BiG Picture intro
it was in 1999

I was 6 years old 1999 on February 6
