Most underrated rapper. But the guy was unreal his lyrics was just beyond brilliant.
There are more rapper who compliment Big L like Jay Z, Nas, Lord Finesse, Royce da 5'9, Asap Rocky etc.. Anyway RIP Big L Hiphop Miss You
Jay z had him killed because he wouldn't join his label and was throwing out flyers for his label flamboyant when he was shot like 8 times RIP L
@@chrisbodell895stop it
@@chrisbodell895 dude, he was signing to roc a fella what are you talking about
Rip L to the best rapper ever 🔥 L kills all these rappers now, including Eminem etc.
@@gangiskhan8774 Big L is great I'm a huge fan of his one of my favs but he's not touching big pun no chance
Along with Nas, Biggie, king Ra and Pun one of the very few true rap savants

@@clubfillerspinkknickers9791you had to make it a competition? You can praise without downplaying another artist
L was a savage no other mc wanted to go toe to toe with him. That time they gat jay z with him on that show,u could tell they caught jay off guard he was under pressure to spit his best bars
Jay did his thing doe
@TrillGill666 first jay verse is great but he definitely struggles to keep up in the second verse
Rip Mac n big L

Being a HIPHOP JOURNALIST and not knowing TRIBE CALLED QUEST AND BIG L is absolutely crazy
And being a real hip hop fan not giving Big L his props is completely insane.
@@FL6K0 disrespecting the genre fr
I love these hiphop stories. Makes you feel like you’re there
Sway wasn't havin it. Man's said "google him, man"
L was that guy fr fr. even honored by all the greats Jay Nas Kiss Red Em etc. the holiest of holies the punchline bar king ur rappers favorite rapper Don Corleone Harlems Finest Big L Rest In Power.
He was the goat back in the day the issue is he didn’t have much of a catalogue most of his catalogue was freestyles he was the greatest freestylest of all time
Yo I'm a huge jazz lover and L had MAD bebop phrases in his bars. L one of the best of all time.
FEBRUARY 15 2023 ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY FEBRUARY 15 1999
24 YEARS AGO THE HIP HOP WORLD LOST A VOICE Big L
THE FACT IT WAS 24 YEARS LATER AND IT STILL HURTS
Big L DID NOT DESERVED TO DIE THAT WAY
MAY 30 1974-FEBRUARY 15 1999 REST IN PEACE Big L
AND Big L WILL BE A LEGEND
If he acted at all like he rapped, he definitely did deserve to die like that or worse, and thats coming from a fan
@@aPerfect-zs2dncalled music, and talking about his environment

Big L was the truth. Its a shame we have people who just don't give a F$$k and take out anyone.
Big L the greatest ever in my book.

I can listen to JadaKiss rap all day. Best voice I've heard in hip hop
Jadakiss is the closest thing to Big L today. Bars after bars after bars. After Kiss then Pusha T
I disagree, Shyhiem the Rugged Child resembles Big L style more then any other hip hop artist.
Facts imo Jadakiss is definitely one of the greats as well and very underrated as well.
Probably Eminem
I'd say Inspectah Deck from the Wu is the closest dude you could compare to L. Not talked about nearly enough and always clearly the best rhymes on a song with other legends
Pusha t 😂😂😂 yeah right
RIP Big L bodied b4 his time gdayum shsme
Lamont Coleman was just a technically perfect rapper.
There should be waaaay more on this video
LLBIGL😢💔🕊️
I would’ve loved a mac amd big L collab
Mac always been my favorite artist of any genre, since Kool-Aid and Frozen Pizza. He got me into hip hop. Big L though… Dude spit absolute heat every time he got on a mic and made it look easy. Would love to some see someone dub Mac and L together.
Imagine a beef between em and L
Diamond D also discovered Heavy D
Thats Like Hockey witout fights Like China witout rice like the bible witout Christ
Interesting
I can kind of give a pass for not knowing L. I know people in their 40’s and 50’s who don’t know him. If you don’t know tribe, that’s criminal. Especially if you’re sitting on a hip hop show asking Mac Miller questions.
Mac Miller talking bout BIG L
L penned j verse on that 7 min free. It ain’t hard to tell the style. Also put j on with that too.
Highly doubt it. Jay had that verse way back in 91 on a freestyle he did with Big Daddy Kane.
No. He didn’t. Stop disrespecting Jay-Z.
Mase would disagree about the fair and square comment from fat joe😂 R.I.P L ONE OF THE ILLIST
Big girl made Jay Z look incapable on that freestyle part of the reason why I’ve always thought Jay Z was Trash like Jay Z can’t freestyle for shit and he’s on a freestyle with the greatest freestyler of all time like why he just embarrassed Jay Z made him look like a clown in front of all of New York City, and yet Jay Z becomes the most richest rapper of all time when all that belongs to big L if Big L was still alive, which thanks to his brother being the biggest drug dealer in Harlem history he’s not big oh would be Jay Z he would be a billionaire right now he was 50 Cent 10 years before 50 Cent even sold out he was about to sell out. He was about to sign the Rocafella records and he was killed less than a week before he had a meeting with Rocafella records. He would’ve been 50 Cent in 1999 back when 50 Cent was like 13 years old who is the most gangsterest rapper alive
I wanna like but it's 666 and Big L was the Devil's Son...
What’s 666? Where is it?

Wack Miller is right
Edit: Mac Miller
I think I got it right the first time
Jay z was responsible for his murder.
I could see that. On a conspiracy level. The person who everyone thought did it is gone as well. We will probably never know.
I skate pass his mural and 139 everyday. I also think man what if L was still here
Big L was Jay Z 1st blood sacrifice for his white masters aka arse bandit gang of the music industry
Just like Biggie was puffy 1st blood sacrifice for his white masters of the music industry aka arse bandit gang !!!
Probly. Same with Aliyah. Jay Z be making room for new comers smh
they got invited on sway in the morning to act as journalists and don't know who a tribe called quest is lol
Clowns
But I bet they know who Soulja boy is lol.
