Damn. Imagine how these guys felt, hearing about Biggie getting killed. It would probably mess me up. Getting to meet someone so talented, who's a huge star, and comes off as just a normal, respectful, kind person, and getting to sit, and have a lengthy conversation with them. Then 4 days later, finding out they were killed. It was sad to hear Big talk about getting ready for his new album to drop. He had no idea that he would not be alive to see that happen.
As a huge 2pac fan growing up I still appreciated Biggie's songs & knew he had nothing to do with the 1994 incident. Ive hardly seen any interviews of Biggie, but seeing this one is heartbreaking because its clear his a humble gentle giant whos a loving family man. His murderer truely robbed the world & most importantly his family of a great human being
@@dmvconartists2542 It's not the same. I was also a local rapper in Belgrade, so I know. Every rapper has a hip hop alter ego. His alter ego Biggie was more powerful than Christopher W.
@@dmvconartists2542 It makes sense though. Usually I'm quiet unless spoken to in public or in classes, but acting in front of people I can hit that switch regardless how many people are watching. Introverts make great on stage personalities because I've seen them be able to let loose sometimes more than an extrovert. Nothing factually though, just from experience
It's a shame that he was a lot safer selling drugs in the winter in Brooklyn than leaving a party in Beverly Hills. Almost 26 years later I'm still wondering why they did the album rollout in California as opposed to just staying in New York. I was nine years old at the time and MTV said he would be in California for a MONTH. When I heard that, my heart sank. Everyday that went by I hoped and wished they didn't kill him. I was relieved every day I didn't hear anything until that fateful Sunday. Broke my heart. Looking at this footage they were genuinely appreciative that he came in. Biggie even asked if the guys were coming to his listening party. I can't imagine what the crew thought when news of his death came out. Right here in this video they all had a beautiful moment with him but they didn't know this was the last time they'd ever see him. It is pretty special and sad that this is likely the last public interview he ever did. I saw a short clip of JV years ago that they were all shocked when he died so soon after. I always wondered if Biggie was really gonna come back and do that song for them. I personally believe he forgot after he left the studio. What happened to Lance after this? He had a job and then he kinda didn't. I don't even know what his role was in Biggie's career. I hate the fact that Biggie's killer is doing Lord knows what that day and he's going to commit this terrible crime in days. Biggie wanted to watch his children grow and within days he was gone. Sad.

He was killed when I was 4. As I got older and listened to the old school music, I can unequivocally say... I am so mad he was taken too early. The music he could've done. The great things as a person he was capable of. I have watched interviews, and his mother was also a great woman as well. Educated and strong.
It’s crazy to think how young BIG and 2-PAC really were wen they died! Think about all the pressure and everything going on around them! The way they handled it and the intelligence they both had…truly were ahead of their time🎯💯🙏🏻 RIP BIG RIP PAC

Biggie should have handled his own security. After Puff ran from Suge and 2Pac. No way in hell would I let such a cowardly person be in charge of my safety. Especially with the level of death threats 2Pacs death created.
This is a hard interview/video to watch because I believe this is his last interview before he died or one of the last. Cause at the end the person asks him what he’s planning for his future in rap. And the response he gives is just heart breaking…that he just plans on continuing to make great songs and to do it with his best friend Cease. That’s not exactly what he says but I have a hard time watching it cause it’s so sad cause he has no idea he was going to get shot and die over there.

Seeing and watching this interview with Biggie makes me sad, because he was looking forward to bigger and better things in his future and was bettering himself, and he was a cool person. But then come 3/9/1997 he gets gunned down and killed, and this interview was 4 days before his death. I think had Biggie not went to California after his mom told him not to go, he probably would still be alive today, and him going to California was a bad idea. From this interview right before his death, Biggie talks about what he was planning on doing in his future and he talks about his 2nd album "Life After Death" that was about to be released at the time, and everybody was just enjoying his company. There's even a young girl who talks to Biggie and she tells him that she loves his music. This interview even shows Biggie being nice, sweet, generous, kind, and friendly, and that's what makes him cool. He even says how he would love to see his 2 kids grow up, and it's also good to know that he was no longer the same person or as violent like from when he first came out as a rapper. Biggie had changed his lifestyle at the time of this interview, but it's still sad knowing that he's not alive and was gunned down and killed for no reason, and Biggie could have still been alive today. But God bless him.
Ever since biggie all other rappers have made waves but he was a tsunami and there will NEVER be another like him.... and someone said we now realize how young he was...R.I.P.
He was a kid still. Crazy looking at this shit now that I’m 38. I was 13 or 14 when he died. He seemed way older to me back then. He still radiates an old soul feel tho. Sad shit

To think I was 7 when he died and now I'm older than he was when he passed and he's got such a baby face he actually seemed so down to earth and kind. 😢😢😢

Youve been older than he was when he died for 10 years!
Me too
U missed a great generation. 😢, to young to understand music at the time, us 90s kids sure were blessed to witness biggie and pac at they peak
There will never be another like The Notorious B.I.G. Music wise the man was in a class of his own. He only made 2 albums and they are 2 of the greatest hip hop albums ever created and they always will be. I will treasure Ready 2 Die & Life after death for as long as I live but it breaks my heart when I think about all of the timeless songs & albums that we will never hear from this legend because of how early his life was cut short. Rest in peace B.I.G your legacy will never die 🐐
Yes definitely miss the guy so much rest easy king ❤
😭
😞🕊

It`s fuckin crazy how he named his last album "life after death" and then get`s killed 2 weeks before it drops.
it's not a coincidence, puffy had him killed

@@Maxamillion-ko5clfacts!! He wanted his publishing rights and all profits plus he had life insurance on him as a artist
Sad.
Diddy sacrificed him
33:29 man…
Just puts into perspective his innocence. In this moment he’s thinking into the future, obviously not knowing he has 4 days left on this earth. Heartbreaking.

It's crazy. I was maybe 14 when Big was killed and he seemed so much older than me at the time. I saw an adult man living the life back then. Now I'm almost 40 and he looks like a kid to me. Too young to go. Truly sad loss.
Biggie’s voice is so calm and yet intimidating.
It's intimidating yet humble, real and authentic.
He was killed when I was 4. As I got older and listened to the old school music, I can unequivocally say... I am so mad he was taken too early. The music he could've done. The great things as a person he was capable of. I have watched interviews, and his mother was also a great woman as well. Educated and strong.
You're mad!? This level of entitlement is wack. You were 4 when he died, how could you be emotionally invested?
It’s crazy to think how young BIG and 2-PAC really were wen they died! Think about all the pressure and everything going on around them! The way they handled it and the intelligence they both had…truly were ahead of their time🎯💯🙏🏻
RIP BIG
RIP PAC
Both had a super mature demeanor to them. You’d think Big was at least 30 by the way he comes off.
Life After Death is not the Albums name by Accident.,,he already signed of right there unknowingly...and we now know it was not solely his idea to come up with this album's name. Crazy when you add all of it together...and these doods interviewing Bigs, knows da parts...the way how they be asking certain questions.like Diddy eating all da food and Bigs response to Diddy eating..
They focused on themselves instead of the surrounding pressure around them. Next level.
When I see Big or Pac videos can not believe they are gone. Miss both of them RIP
Just proof how much triumphant guys if they like got str appeal like they do that's tru recognition how really fly there music was in actual fact, on international scale or wide-ranging spectrum
I was a kid when he transitioned, now at 40 I see he was still a young man trying to figure out the world.
Somebody please restore and remaster this footage. This needs to be seen 1000 years from now. This man was such an iconic and genuine dude future generations deserve to see this man in hi-fidelity.

Biggie got sacrificed by Puff like how Eazy E got sacrificed by suge
@@pl8yeddwhy did puff sacrifice him
Biggie should have handled his own security. After Puff ran from Suge and 2Pac. No way in hell would I let such a cowardly person be in charge of my safety. Especially with the level of death threats 2Pacs death created.
This guy was young af. He had a good head on his' shoulders.

Notorious at the end of the day was just a young man, a child almost. Had so much in front of him. Respect man.
Yes, I agree too much pressure and plays makes it difficult to handle. These were just kids still learning and growing.
His maturity at such a young age is inspirational. My 🐐
Damn I miss Biggie so much . I love both him and PAC . R.I.P. to them both . Y’all are the two greatest in Hip Hop
Too young, a little shy, so cute, intelligent, and smart but just...my brother went so young. Respect and love B.I.G
What kind of fuckery to have a guest on radio show and you have to stand , while the dj / host sits , i get its a small room etc but they should of had that fixed , its disrespect
I know and no water for him
Biggie asked to stand because he was having problems with his leg and if he Sar to long his long would lock up

@@chipwilliams6236 you know what he means. It’s an exaggeration. Big was very young.
A lot of New York rappers then would make you think they could be 48 based off of things they said and how they said it. Imagine being in the room with 19 year old Nas with him saying what he said.

My simple self sitting here watching big shake jv's hand thinking, how could someone kill him after he just promised to help the kids

He was a kid still. Crazy looking at this shit now that I’m 38. I was 13 or 14 when he died. He seemed way older to me back then. He still radiates an old soul feel tho. Sad shit
I always wish I got to hear a 3rd album from B.I.G... not a rework of his old verses... but an actual whole new 3rd album... that would've been dope! 👑
I’m sure it’s songs he actually recorded somewhere that didn’t require new beats or production.
Why they ain’t release all his unreleased stuff? Did he not record a lot before he died like pac ?
