    I bought this Shiner Bock branded “steel insulated can cooler” on sale(6$!!!) at Academy sports(pretty sure it’s Magellan brand), and WOW I was totally blown away how cold it keeps my beer even constantly in hand!! It has a top that screws down onto the can, and it’s a perfect tight can fit inside. What I do is I keep the insulated “koozie” INSIDE my ice chest WITH the beer(in between drinking) before use and because it has a nice rubber coating on the outside, my hand isn’t cold and the steel on the inside IS ICE COLD FOREVER IT SEEMS!! After I’m done drinking I toss it in the cooler to stay cold for next time!

    I own rtic yeti and ozark trail I can say the yeti is most pleasant to drink from the other 2 have large lip around the top that feels weird on your chin when you take a drink

    Thermos all the way. It’s so much thinner than the rest and u don’t have to unscrew anything to put your can in.

      That's the one I'm personally using in the office. I'm fine with it being a degree or two warmer if it's half the size and more practical.

      True, plus you can buy 2 for the cost of the yeti

      thats what i went with because of the no screw lid, price, and basically the same performance. I read a guy who did a test just like this with a yeti and the yeti ended up being 2 degrees cooler, and he said he couldnt tell the difference in the 2 degrees, so he started buying the thermos from there on out.

    I’m impressed by the Ozark Trail, though I feel I need to mention black absorbs light not “heat”. Also, the foam cozie doesn’t really insulate in the way you tested. It’s only real purpose is to insulate the can from one’s hand if one were holding the can, this would produce a marked difference from the control can. Interesting regardless.

    Review how long they keep drinks or soup hot.

    Please help me find a 500ml can cooler. We have 500ml cans here in Sweden. Same width as yours but higher/longer.

    I love my Ozark Trail Koozies. They work great and I've managed to lose a couple, at less than $7 each it's no big deal!

    How did you make your animated charts? Thanks.

      They were actually kind of a pain/time-consuming to make. Basically the project was done in After Effects with the square boxes just growing every second (or half second?) to match the data. The boxes aren't in the perfect locations technically - I had to eye where they were on the chart. Thankfully once I created one set of boxes/temperatures. I could just copy the project file to create new data inputs for the other tests. Hopefully that makes a little bit of sense. I'm still waking up haha. - Austin

      @@slickdeals It made sense. Good work. Cool graphics. Nice 3D effect to the graph at the beginning. Most people probably wouldn't appreciate, but I do. Good scientific data. Funny how you made this video recently and just yesterday I was wondering about "koozies" and which one was best. Thanks for the video. I also looked at the data you posted on Imgur. Thanks for that too. ...Maybe add the BrüMate Hopsulator Trío in a follow up video. 😉

    Have you done Brumate vs yeti ?

    Should redo with Frost Buddy 2.0 as well. That's the one I ended buying as I drink from both cans and bottles. As for these, I knew Hydro Flask wouldn't win as I have a Hydro Flask bottle and while it keeps my drinks cold, for about a day, my S'well will keep my drinks cold for 3 - 4 days. I put it in my 94º garage, for 26 hours, and it only went up a little over 1º. I figured Yeti would had done better than it did.

    why cant the yeti be used as glass?

    • @slickdeals
      @slickdeals  Рік тому

      You could possibly drink directly from it but the Hydro Flask is the only one without a screw on lid and designed to be a cup.

  • @Canuckvik

    Well i think you should redo a test with holding the cans with your hands. I feel like even the light koozie will stop the warmth from your hands reaching the can vs holding it directing. because thats what it's all about. No one is just placing their can off to the side, in a tailgate scenario you're holding it the entire time

    Its because the Hydro Flask uses a silicone lip

  • @djhunt9828
    @djhunt9828 Рік тому

    Well, if you want to consider that you’re not gonna spend probably over an hour drinking one can then wouldn’t the yeti be the best performing?

    If you consume your drink in under 2 hours, which is more likely, the Yeti is the winner.
