There is no ”in general”. There is a huge difference between weekend clubs who obey the laws, and one percenter OMCs who are fully committed to the outlaw biker lifestyle. One percenter clubs are full of antisocial man-children who band together to avoid accountability for their violent and threatening behaviour. They mask a deep insecurity behind a veneer of ”brotherhood”, and use their numbers to justify practically anything they do. They want it both ways, by which I mean they want the fantasy of living as outlaws and being feared and respected wherever they go, but get upset when they are treated as outlaws. What they value as ”freedom” is really an inability to mature emotionally and intellectually. Rather than be better people, they choose to do whatever they want and pretend that whatever they do is right. They claim that they aren’t criminal organizations, but lack the understanding and intelligence to realise that it’s not their decision to make. That is, the justice system decides that they are a criminal organization, not the clubs themselves. In short, they call themselves outlaws but get mad when anyone else calls them that.
Veterans clubs and weekend riders? I have no opinions on them because they are just hobbyists, like guys who build RC planes or who play Warhammer.
My Dad was part of group of soldiers in Germany that volunteered for Vietnam. My Mom,my brother and I had to leave Ft.Lewis when Dad left for Vietnam. We settled in San Jose, California. Across the street were the local Hells Angels. They came across the street to talk to Mom about our VW Beetle. While they were there someone started asking about no man being around. Mom said the best BS was coming out.Mom pointed to her wedding ring and told the group about my Dad volunteering for Vietnam. They instantly apologized for any disrespect that may have happened. They told Mom if she needed anything,if any bothered us,etc ....to come to their house. My brother and I were the only kids that stopped at their house on Halloween. They escorted us home with a big tub of candy. My Dad came back for a short visit. He was on his way back to Ft.Lewis to load more equipment for the IVth Infantry. My Dad walked me and my brother across the street. He wanted to thank the Hells Angels for keeping an eye on his family. My Dad had an Indian Chief back in the '50's. We hung out there for awhile. Always had respectful encounters with these guys.Safe travels!

My father in law was a charter member of the sons of solence snd Dude wwas a neighbor up on apple valley road. Some greT giys like bobby z r bock who was the world champion kick boxer and had his dojo down in littleton. They finally got hom on rico charges with a bunch of automatic weapons. Good guy and a good neighbor. Also my uncle owned inskeep machone in longmont and dirty Dan worked for him. Also a son. Some damned good guys that just dodnt feel likbe conforming to the govs idea of behaving. I still dont but any of the HAs ive me y and partoed with have all been decent hardworking giys so jusy because theyre 1 % ers doesnt meN they should ne treated any diffetent but its too bvad the courts dont see it like i do!!
