@TheDesmoto maybe. I'm basing the possible damage on the fact that it seemed there was no room for compression. If it could extend, probably could. The bearing cap does pop off in that scene, but that was why I was basing the event on impact damage as there was no room for compression. Yeah, I could be wrong, I totally get that. I mentioned this as a project for you guys a while back, not sure if it was from my request or just coincidence. But Im so glad you did it and worked out great! From some find tuning it could be used to move cars around that have no motors etc.👍
Up there with some of the finest stoner ideas ive ever had hahahaha, appreciate you guys just making things happen that dont make sense or shouldnt work
hey guys! when your done with this project (which obviously you are cuz you recorded it , then posted it so its been done), convert the trailer into a self diving trailer ONLY, like sit in the trailer, and just drive it around by itself. you would need a seat, and some kinda steering setup. but as hidden as possible so no one would know, it would look like a run-away trailer that's about to run over a bunch of school kids, but at the last minute is able to go around! :)
This isn't just an idea for a fun experiment. The caravan manufacturer Dethleffs is actually working on a model with electric assist drive. The idea is mainly aimed to enable electric cars which have a rather low trailer weight rating by themselves to tow a full size caravan regardless. The drive motor in the caravan is controlled by a force sensor in the hitch, when a pulling force in the hitch is detected the caravan motor starts to assist, it regulates this motor so that a constant set pulling force on the hitch is reached, the leading vehicle keeps on pulling with a low force only, the caravan motor does the rest. This to ensure proper handling. When braking the drive switches off by the activation of the trailer brake. No hardwired controls to the towing vehicle are needed. The experiment in this video is of course of another magnitude, it's just a fun experiment and not of practical use in the form showed here, even the weight distribution is far off with the trailer axle so far to the back. A lot of the weight is on the hitch and not on the trailer wheels. Maybe turn the axle around and have the gearbox over the axle? a 4x4 center diff could be used to connect the two.
I agree with most comments and have a solution. Put the motor in the boot of the Lada, run a long drive shaft out to the transmission, which should be mounted directly to the differential on the trailer :) Or... go full Porsche and put the motor on the back of the trailer instead, and move the trailer axle forward about a foot :)

This is a good channel, not unnessecary long video's.
Now i would love to see that engine purring inside the lada station :d, and the old engine inside the trailer ( better and more cost efficient to test at lower power rates )also, the 2jz would make the car pretty badass.
I mentioned this as a project for you guys a while back, not sure if it was from my request or just coincidence. But Im so glad you did it and worked out great! From some find tuning it could be used to move cars around that have no motors etc.👍
Up there with some of the finest stoner ideas ive ever had hahahaha, appreciate you guys just making things happen that dont make sense or shouldnt work
First time I've ever seen a trailer do a burnout, I could only imagine trying to tell your buddies at work about how your trailer can do a burnout.
hey guys! when your done with this project (which obviously you are cuz you recorded it , then posted it so its been done), convert the trailer into a self diving trailer ONLY, like sit in the trailer, and just drive it around by itself. you would need a seat, and some kinda steering setup. but as hidden as possible so no one would know,
it would look like a run-away trailer that's about to run over a bunch of school kids, but at the last minute is able to go around! :)
Brilliant, well done!!!
Big respect to those who worked on the cable harness
Roadkill already did this, and was even supercharged.
The good old boost caboose!
Garage 54 answering all the questions we havent have
Reverse burnout was really cool. I'd suggest strenghtening the Ladas hitch too. 🙂
Best video so far
Well , honestly i was expecting patato water.. but hell yeah !! Party on!!! That's mint! Good show!!
Pull up to the takeover doing donut with a trailer 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
That trailer needs a full spool!
As soon as i saw the out of phase tailshaft , i knew there would be trouble 😂😂 Great effort guys , just my kind of project .
yooooooo fantastic job
Bringing a new meaning to trailer burnouts😂
Never fail to amaze.
The hand reaching in shot to take the whiskey 😂
Trailer Burnout is awesome
What i like is the not so subtle hint that the beverage of choice - what the hell is it anyway? - had something to do with this idea. Nice!
Eine total verrückte Idee aber echt genial vor allem die Messzeiten sind faszinierend.
I agree with most comments and have a solution. Put the motor in the boot of the Lada, run a long drive shaft out to the transmission, which should be mounted directly to the differential on the trailer :)
Or... go full Porsche and put the motor on the back of the trailer instead, and move the trailer axle forward about a foot :)
Great invention for a electric car and it can charge the battery also while driving 🤔👍💚💛❤️
"Very simple" flashes of a now almost empty bottle of booze haha Too much excitement!
No wonder some of these guys on the highway r so fast with trailer
Solid!
Top KEK!
Peace be with you.
what is top KEK?
@@razeefbakar In this usage, it means superb.
That's a marriage of steampunk and Mad Max we all were waiting for!
