- A blind dog in Spalding has become the first in the country to sport a simple but ingenious new gadget that will stop him bumping in to things.
It also makes him look a little bit like an angel. It is called the Muffin's Halo and as Adam Fowler found out, it marks the latest chapter in a remarkable dog's life.

I had a blind dog when I was a kid. Tough as nails and just as stubborn and stupid. He didn't give a fuck: in the park he'd be running full speed towards a tree and my father would be screaming at him to stop. Smashed right into it, shook it off and went back to tearing about, happy as could be.

How is this going to help with a forward facing stick in the eye?
Using this doesn't mean your dog can function like normal dog, a blind dog is still blind, you have to take care of its environment so it doesn't have to face anything like sharp sticks. The device only helped to lessen bumps, and I think it would work pretty well to lessen the dog's stress for bumping into things, don't you think so too? ;)
Did he ever get adopted?
Yes, we adopted Basil not long after this. He is still with us and enjoying life
