Metallica knows this song well. It is on the 30th anniversary Blacklist album released by Metallica .The Warning did a straight cover of Enter sandman 9 years ago when they were just aged 14,12, and 9. Even Metallica acknowledged them then with a comment on their video that has over 24M views. See these 3 sisters at the start of their journey. Cheers for the reaction. 🤟
I'm a Metallica fan. Seen them in concert on several tours. I love this version, and The Warning in general. As others have mentioned , this is on the Metallica Blacklist album. Metallica told them to do whatever they wanted to the song. The said they didn't care if it was turned upside down or played backwards. The Warning's straight cover , at age 14,12,and 9, was posted for family and went viral. Metallica saw that version , and Kirk Hammett said that the drummer kicks maximum a$$.
They did this with Alessia Cara for Metallica's _Blacklist_ album. Since she is a pop singer, they had to make the first of it toned down for her. But it gets harder and more angry as it goes along. Also, the story of the white Gibson Explorer that Dany is playing - they toured with Halestorm and Lzzy Hale interrupted their set to kneel onstage and present Dany with the guitar. Not bad, huh?
You want to know something kinda crazy... It isn't actually all that toned down. It is just inverted. The original has a it's intro soft, then it gets hard and softens as the song goes on. Where this starts soft and gets harder as it goes... someone without much work could splice the end of the original into the this version and have a fairly epic 10 minutes version.
They were invited by Metallica together with Alessia Cara (from Canada) to make a cover. The Woohoohoo was actually Alissia saying they should do it, Metallica put TW & Alissia Cara "Enter Sandman" as the nr. 1 track on the anniversary Black Album (that is where you'll find it). TW went viral with their cover of Enter Sandman when they were kids (Dany, 14, Pau ,12 and Ale, 9) and you wouldn't believe could do it that well. They have also done a super cover of Metallica's Atlas Rise - Dany manages to incorporate both rythmh and lead guitar in one. Quite impressive. Pau and Dany share lead vocals on that one and Ale, is being Ale - she keeps it all together with her fantastic bass play. You might want to react ot it!? The Warning covers Metallica's Atlas Rise - ua-cam.com/video/fhhG5EiFiyA/v-deo.html I love Metallica, but TW make the songs they cover better ;o)
Rumor has it that the members of Metallica have it looping on their playlists.. 😆. Kidding, of course. Metallica has this as the first song on their Blacklist album (2021). This version has been background music for several football segments during the college football season and was the background music for Marvel’s Midnight Suns game trailer. It also featured in a Netflix show, but I can’t remember which one. I grew up with METALLICA’s Enter Sandman and it got old after a few hundred plays. This version is a breath of fresh air. If anything is going to bring metal and rock to fans of the new generation, it is going to be a song, such as this.
She plays this song with the Gibson Explorer that Lzzy Hale gave her in the 2022 tour. They coverd it in 2014. 9,12 and 14yo. The Metalica's 30th Aniversary Black List Album. Version with Alessia Cara (Canadian POP and R&B artist). This is the current live concert version. Alessia has only sung this song with once ,so far with The Warning live. The Black List version was done in about a week with Alessia in Canada and TW in Mexico. During Covid lockdown.
Not only does Metallica know about it, they asked for it. hahaa. This is the first track on the Metallica Blacklist album. It is the 30th anniversary tribute album to The Black album. 53 artisted were asked by Metallica to do their own renditions of their favorite songs off the Black album and do them in their own style. This was a collaboration with Grammy-winning Canadian Singer/Songwriter Alessia Cara. I recommend watching the official video!
Metallica fan here, I've seen them live twice, haven't listened to Enter Sandman in a very long time, quite sick of it to be honest but first heard of The Warning with this version in the Blacklist album and that was my entry point to this rabbit hole, just saw TW live two days ago here in London and completely blew me over and even my wife who is extremely hard to impress!
Yeah I really love what they did with Enter Sandman, they made it a whole new song and breathed life into an otherwise tired and over played song! Thats so awesome you got to see them live I cant wait to get the chance to see them live in person!!!!
yes, they had 2 weeks i believe to get a song ready and its the 1st song on The Metallica Blacklist album, excellent reaction thanks for sharing, they have an official music video too that also is a banger and i suggest bringing us with you if you do watch
The live version is better than the studio version they did with Alessia Cara. And the reason its the first track on the "Blacklist" album is because Alessia starts with "A" ! This song would've been further down the tracklist otherwise - fate played its hand for the band, and what a great hand it was. But really, their cover of Metallicas "Atlas Rise" (either from "The Cave" or from "The Whisky A Go Go) is better in my opinion - I just love the harder edge, plus Ales bass,Paus brutal drumming,Danys killer guitar, plus the double lead vocals from Pau and Dany...
I have two kids that attended Metallica in the womb. I've seen them in concert since Kill 'em All. This is the Johnny Cash of Hurt. It's beautiful, amazing, and it owns. This is how it should be. If I was Metallica, I'd have them lead, and have that as their last song on the set. I'd play 15 seconds in and say how awesome was that, and hit Blackened.
The Warning “stopped being a cover band” a few years ago. This project was done at Metallica’s invitation for a charity album. They do an occasional cover here and there for Dany Day, Pau Day or (maybe) Ale Day social media streams, but nothing for a production project. They now prefer to work on their new original music. 😊
I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Alessia Cara very sweetly puts you to bed, then Dany rouses the troops, shares a little prayer, and the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the tale. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one. The official music video is also worth watching, but this live performance--WOW!
I love this cover. It's amazing how they made it so atmospheric with the dynamics.. and how the song continues to build with each verse, then dips again to the lull and then ends by jamming on the iconic riff. The version is just a pure genius arrangement by a musically gifted band.

The best live version of many of their song is usually the Teatro Metropolitan version. There are fanvids from the same concert but they don't rise to this level of visual/audio excellence. Even so, the fanvid of Narcissista is worth watching to see Pau come out from behind the drums and sing out front. The Warning is, to my mind, the best rock band going right now. No fancy sets, no sexy showgirl outfits, just seat of your pants rock n roll.

Metallica asked The Warning to participate in the 30th anniversary Blacklist album. Its the first track on the Blacklist album. They collaborated with Alissia Cara and created this rendition of the classic song in less than 10 days.
As everyone has said, Metallica put this #1 on the Blacklist album. You don’t start an album with junk. It’s safe to say Metallica loves it. Fact is Metallica has been fans of The Warning since Kirk saw them doing Enter Sandman a decade ago.
Completely different to the thrash metal version, and nothing to do with the original one. However, they designed and constructed a brilliant version full of musical assests: good voices, appropiatre chorus, strong battey, good riffs and a good mixure of heavy and soft rhytms. I enjoyed how you enjoyed this more-than-a-cover song.
DPA/TW and Alessia Cara certainly understood the assignment! Alessia Cara is a Grammy winning Canadian Pop and R&B singer... they had 10 days to rip this rendition of *Enter Sandman* from the ether and make it a darker, more eerie, and a more haunting lullaby than the original metal version... this was done because they, and many other artists from numerous genres, were invited by Metallica to take one of the songs from the original "Black" album, keep the lyrics and change it up how ever you like... play it backwards, upside down, whatever... this was all for the 30th anniversary of the "Black" album... all the submissions from 50someodd artists were put on the 2021 "The Metallica Blacklist" album... the proceeds from the album sales are split 50/50 with half going to Metallica's "All Within My Hands Foundation" and the other half being donated to a charity of the participating artists' choice. in the OMV, Dany (guitar) and Alessia share the lead vocals until they are in the three doorways when Dany takes over and Alessia does more of the background oooohs and aaaahs... the version they play in concert has Dany doing the vocals with a backing track of Alessia's ohhhs and ahhhs... of course Ale (bass) and Pau (drums) join in with their angelic harmonies in both... this is a fantastic reimagining of the iconic original... this 60+ year old rocker loves both versions of *Enter Sandman* but this one by TW and Alessia gets more airtime these days 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Yeah they did awesome with this and made it totally new again because to be honest they overplayed that song on Mtv and the radio and even as good as a song as it is it gets old after a while! Now whenever I hear it I just want to hear this version!...lol.. I love the way they made it their own as if they were the ones that wrote it in the first place! People wouldnt think so but it really shows your song writing and arrangement skills when you do something like this!
That would be pretty neat because they would also make that version sound different being four players and of coarse their sound so it would be like Enter Sandman inception ..lol
P.S. if it hasn’t been mentioned, the guitar Dany is playing was given to her by Lzzy Hale as a pay-it-forward. If you inspire Lzzy your pretty alright in my book 😊
1st time here and I want to thank you for not pausing every 10 or 15 seconds (like most do!!!) and letting them play...they are by far the best new hard rock band out there...stay safe and rock on!!!
Thank you I feel the same way I try to keep interruptions to a minimum and let the piece play out to get the full picture and save most of my thoughts for after the song. They are an awesome band I look forward to checking out more from them!
ENTER SANDMAN de The Warning un cover original y el mejos tema del black list, un tema que puede ser incluso mejor que el original,The Warning es como los grandes y viejos grupos del buen Rock, talentosos, con pasion y dando todo en el escenario
Great job with your reaction and thoughts on the live performance of Enter Sandman from Metallic done here By The Warning. Something cool about the white guitar that Dany is playing it a gifted one she got from Izzy Hale when they tour with Halestorm.
Wish that whoever suggested you Enter Sandman should have advised a double review - one from 2014 & this one from 2022. Ideally it should be a 3 part including their official video to gauge the phenomenal growth of the girls. This live version is more "rocky" compared to the official one that they submitted for Metallica's Black List in 2021. There were some famous names in Black List that covered Enter Sandman. None of them could break free of the iconic riff & structure of the song like The Warning did. It takes creativity, conviction & courage to think out of the box in the way they have rearranged this iconic song. This is Clapton paying homage to Dylan in "Knocking on Heaven's Door" in his Backless album.
I am looking forward to checking out the older versions as well as much more from The Warning I really love the way the arranged the song! It makes it a totally different and new song I really dig it!

Personalmente me gustan las dos versiones...cada una tiene su "personalidad", su esencia...
Absolutely! Thats what makes it so cool, its like having two awesome versions of the same song!
🤘🤘🤘🧀😎🧀🤘🤘🤘
Would this be cool? If Metallica covered THE Warnings version of a Metallica song. WOW.
That would be pretty neat because they would also make that version sound different being four players and of coarse their sound so it would be like Enter Sandman inception ..lol
For the Gate Keepers in the Metallica community, The Warning are the Key Masters!
P.S. if it hasn’t been mentioned, the guitar Dany is playing was given to her by Lzzy Hale as a pay-it-forward. If you inspire Lzzy your pretty alright in my book 😊
I think I recall someone mentioning that. It is way cool to say the least!!!
Clearly, you GET IT! Awesome reaction! It's how I felt when I heard this, too!
Yes! Thank you!
Now you've got to watch The Warning's straight cover of Enter Sandman from nine years ago! Then consider their respective ages when they did so.
Yeah I will have to check that out for sure!
So do i!
It's a re-imagining of an all-time classic, and the creation of a new 21st century classic.
Yeah I really dig what they did with it!
Good video! 👌🏼🇲🇽
Thank you, they are an incredible band!
This band is f**king amazing! If they don't release a live album soon they are doing the world a disservice. C'mon girls! We need it!
Totally agree!! They are such an awesome band live it really seems like the logical thing to do!
My hats off to Metallica for writing such a great song for The Warning....
ENTER SANDMAN de The Warning un cover original y el mejos tema del black list, un tema que puede ser incluso mejor que el original,The Warning es como los grandes y viejos grupos del buen Rock, talentosos, con pasion y dando todo en el escenario
Great job with your reaction and thoughts on the live performance of Enter Sandman from Metallic done here By The Warning. Something cool about the white guitar that Dany is playing it a gifted one she got from Izzy Hale when they tour with Halestorm.
thats awesome, thank you I appreciate it!!!
@@TheKillogicEffect Your welcome. Yes it is very cool about the guitar Dany playing.
⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thanks
My pleasure they are and incredible band!

@@TheKillogicEffect Finally it became a lullaby with these girls.
Great reaction brother! 💖✨🔥⚡🚀🤘🏽
Thank you!
Different & still excellent. Well done, The Warning.
