      There isn't really a second part unfortunately. We were under a deadline and had to finish it quickly, so we didn't film the install. It is all just the reverse of removal. There is nothing special to be done.

    I thought I was the man for doing the timing belt lol

    • @OutOfScopes
      @OutOfScopes  3 роки тому +1

      I found the timing belt to be more frustrating to do than the clutch. The clutch is a lot more work, but there's plenty of room and no silly temperature dependent tensioner to mess with.

    Man, this is quite a job. Unfortunately, the same leaking slave cylinder problem on all P2 V70 S60 with manual transmissions. Actually, on the S60 you need to drop the whole engine. Very costly job especially since the internal slave will leak and contaminate both the clutch and the flywheel.

    I have to change yhe clutch and also some problem with manual gearbox. Is there a chance to move down the gearbox without any moving the engine ??? The car is volvo s80 2.0T 180 hp gasoline 2000

    Hey, I have Volvo V70 D5 with manual gearbox (M56) and I have the problem. If I press the clutch pedal and shift to reverse gear position it always appeard the grinded noise. The noise will disappeard if I press the clutch, shift to any gear and then reverse so noise is gone. But is very annoying to shift first any of other gear and then the reverse .... Also the1st gear is shifting a little bit "heavily". But the grinding noise is only with reverse shifting.
    Level of the clutch oil is o.k. Also I tried to bleed of the air from the clutch's. And the oil in the gearbox is new. So my suspicion is : The whole clutch set is in bad condition. Or the synchrone rings in the gearbox are gone ... Do you have some idea what should be the problem is ?
    Thank you, Lukas.

    • @OutOfScopes
      @OutOfScopes  4 роки тому +1

      It sounds like synchros to me, but I am no transmission expert. If it were the clutch it would consistently do it for all gears. The clutch always behaves the same no matter what gear you are selecting.

      @@zigzag7194 The problem is fixed. We changed the whole clutch and flymass wheel. Shifting is now much better. Sometimes the reverse gear does a little bit of grinding noise but it's o.k.

    No special tools to reset the self adjusting clutch?

    • @OutOfScopes
      @OutOfScopes  3 роки тому +1

      We used a new pressure plate, so adjusting it wasn't strictly necessary. You can call Sachs or LUK to ask about specific tool numbers. I'd suggest double checking with them that you don't need a tool for a new pressure plate too.

      If you mean bleeding the clutch, it is not. You can see the clutch bleeding procedure starting at 21:21. I don't recall any bolts or drain plugs being reverse threaded.

      You should probably make a post on a Volvo forum with many details. I'm afraid you'll have to separate the transmission again and identify why the clutch is not being pushed against the flywheel by the pressure plate.

      I'd like to try to point you in the right direction but I need more info. You're probably much better off asking on a Volvo forum where many people can chime in.
      Is your transmission automatic or manual? 5 or 6 speed? Did they use genuine fluid? What is the exact code that shows up when you scan the car? Does it drive in an unusual manner? They'll need to know the full story to provide you with a helpful answer. If you give me that info I can try to help.

      @@OutOfScopes its volvo c30 2.0 L petrol 2010 / 6 speed automatic transmission, basically I didnt scan it through a computer because there is no garage or workshop that can diagnose volvo in my area and the dealership closed 5 years ago
      First thing after changing my transmission i added liqui moly 8100 synthetic according to liqui moly dealership after looking into the system about my car , while I am driving the car a message will pop “ Transmission performance low “ and the transmission gets stuck on a gear cant upshift or downshift even when i put it on Manual, sometimes the transmission will slip then the error shows , when i shut off the car and turn it on again the transmission will run smoothly, note that my previous transmission had the exact same problem and by the time its gets worse and worse where the message keeps comming more often and i have to turn of the car on and off multiple times again it got worse till the message stayed and never went away and my transmission stopped shifting , right now the transmission gives this message once or twice a day , thank you so much for replying and if there is any information you want ask me

      @@aboodalasmar8647 Sorry I missed your replies, youtube hasn't been notifying me of anything lately. Liquimoly 8100 is for dual clutch transmissions. Is yours a dual clutch? not every C30 is. You might have the wrong fluid in there. If new genuine volvo fluid doesn't fix it, you'll need to have the codes read and have someone perform a real diagnosis on the car.
