Hollywood! AI is coming after you fast
AI seems to do a great job with Pixar/Disney style 3D
Super fun! Thank you for creating it
Pleased you liked it. It's been a lot of fun piecing together various generations today to try and find the story.
beatifull
Impressed with your skills and dedication. Many people thinks that it’s just animating 20 pictures with runwayML and you’re done, but to event get to the 20 final image takes a lot of trial and error.
THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
Amazing
So did you create this in RunwayML using generated images and pieced the images together or by gen2 video in RML?
Really awesome!
superb, nice
This is just a slideshow of images with very slight animation 🤣 3d animation is very safe
Saying it’s very safe is delusion. Image2video is brand new yet making significant progress and certain companies have over 55 million+ funding, so I wouldn’t make 3D animation a career choice. And this is coming from a 3D Tech Artist, I’m studying AI daily just to make sure I’m keeping up so I can keep my job
I dunno. I mean this is playing to the strengths of where AI video is right now, but saying “slight animation” I think is underplaying a few of those shots. Lots of water physics and such going on, real angle changes, etc. It isn’t just taking some image layers and doing a parallax effect in After Effects.
Obviously it isn’t near a very dynamic Pixar movie or anything yet, but it has gotten pretty far considering AI video was barely even a thing at the start of the year and Runway’s image/text to video Gen 2 is 6 months old. Even if it takes 2 years to “get there”, that isn’t a huge amount of time.
@@ShawnFumothe camera never moves and the ai cant even make the guy walk but of course its only going to get better
I love this, has the stop motion toy vibes!
Excellent work, and thanks for sharing the process.
What app did you use to create this video? Thanks
RunwayML to bring life to the images. Then edited in Adobe Premiere.
Thank you so much@@AIAnimationStudio
Wow
nice, good job 👍👍
I really like the animation consistency between the clips.
Did you lock the seed generation when generating the clips, on Runway ML?
Nope, just replied on the Midjourney images to provide that needed level of consistency.
thank you. great to know@@AIAnimationStudio
Amazing Work! I'd love to Showcase this! Let me know!
Well there goes work for 3D animators. Especially once this gets improved over time.
Yeah, I can't disagree and I think there's little doubt it's going to effect animation job roles. The only reason I started exploring AI tools back in late '22 was cause I've worked as an animator for 20+ years.
Though I think (hope) that the tools mean more content is produced, and there will be more demand for high quality content. Raising the bar for all media and higher still for what audiences expect from professional content. 3D animators (and related roles) can start adding to their skillset today, which they've always done anyway, complimenting what they already know. But I think having a solid understanding of 3D modelling, design, VFX, composition, story telling and animation helps so much when trying to do exact scenes. With AI used as a tool to try out different styles and add rendered looks (*and yes, efficiency).
This video is not that, I had no brief outside of my own flexible creative idea, no clients to please, no super exact shot angles, products or characters to include. So it was quick... and fun. (and family here helped the story getting too dark :-D)
Being able to have control and consistency is still a barrier to tell stories (i.e. the boat in this video changes between shots alot.... "Make the sails WHITE!! and the hull RED!" was said alot 😅). This will no doubt improve further, but I really hope that demand for high quality, controlled, consistent animation, will outstrip the jobs skills market shake up. We'll see..🤞
@@AIAnimationStudio I just feel entire departments and teams will get cut. The fact this was created by a singular individual just solidifies this will end up being the case. Why pay a higher amount for an entire crew for a singular project when you can get a good enough freelance creator; which will become the subject topic. I feel that will be the new norm talking point. AI is getting so good that I feel the same will happen to the 3D modeling department. Where full concept characters that usually takes days if not weeks of work will get replaced by highly detailed AI generated models.
I'm sitting on no hope. Work for graphic designers have greatly plummeted & I see the same eventually happening in this field. This idea of a harmonious collaboration I don't see being a thing. I started noticing that the moment I started tinkering with Metahuman. Unreal Engine in collaboration with AI generated software I feel will entirely replace the need for entire Animation teams. The moment it can utilize assets to create landscapes and character models based solely on description. If not on image reference; which will more than likely also be AI generated. They'll no longer be the need for entire departments. Sure some people will have work. Given you will always need someone hands on to do touch ups. Yet the vast majority of the field that is human ran will be most likely dismantled and replaced by AI.
@@actionanimations4879 I worked in the video game industry and got laid off... it's getting quite bad , we are experiencing mass layoffs and now the only most senior people are left pretty much . I will be going back to school the coming year
This is incredible!!!!!!
Awesome. Well done
Amazing work! How did you get the snowfall effect and the movement of a flock of birds???
In some shots I'd painted using the motion brush in runway and requested downward vertical motion for the snow. In others I'd just promoted snow falling in the runway ml text prompt. Similar for the birds.
Nicely done.
Very cool. You captured the mood perfectly!
amazing!
wow that was really cool. This use Runway ML Gen 2 motion brush ?
Yeah.
Played with some style ideas yesterday and liked the diorama look. Then managed to piece this together today in and around client work.. until the early hours.
Process:
- Found a music track I liked (and could use) on a stock site.
- Lots and lots of MidJounrey images generated (some with a little Photoshop gen fill when needed.) (Even generated a bunch whilst at a skatepark earlier 🤷🏼♂️😅)
- Runway ML, mix of camera controls and motion brush.
- $10 worth of generations.
- Edit in premiere, a little super quick colour grading to some shots (mostly desaturation and contrast adjustments)
- Vague story idea evolved throughout the day.
That's really impressive! It's like you've combined various tools and techniques to bring the project to life. dynamic effects seem like a great blend. The editing and color grading in Premiere to fit the music and story idea ties it all together nicely. It's amazing what can be achieved. Keep up the great work!
And it's cool how you managed to work on this in between other commitments, even at a skatepark!@@AIAnimationStudio
@@AIAnimationStudiohow long did it take you from start to finish?
@@AlexKongMX . Hi Alex, thanks for messaging. This video took around 3 days, from concept to completion. (Which having worked on short 3D animations that have taken 9 months+ is kinda shocking. But I had the benefit of being able to lean into and adapt the story/shots to work with the generations that came out the best, rather than trying to get an exact motion in a shot every single time., which is where these tools all really struggle.
Love this!
Hi, can you give us all the images you used to create the animation
Tutorial brooo 👍
I wasn't going too. But maybe if there's interest I'll run through the process I took.
@@AIAnimationStudioThis was really well done!
I would Love it if you did this, Navigating what programs to use is confusing.
I see your process above that I will try to follow, but fear it will end in Frustration.
I Have a Tiny Duck ice Skating Story that I want to make. So many AI sites...
@@Tina_at_Tiny_Ducks . Ok it's going on the to do list. I'll try and get round to it this week. 👍
@@AIAnimationStudio Thank-You looking forward to it, No Pressure!
Looks stunning!
Thanks!! 🥳
Amazing!!!👏👏
Inspiring!
Amazing work!

Nice work, very clean animation with a different look.
