I have the 16 S550 GT and in 2022 I still get thumbs up and compliments at gas stations.
I was like you. I've driven a few S197s, when state side, but the S550 I drove in Georgia, 2015 sold the deal. I was longing for rhd Mustangs to make it to the UK. I eventually got mine in 2018 and love it more and more. Everytime I open the garage I still can't believe I've got a slice of one of Americas finest cars. I've had many European cars but they lack the whole Mustang experience. Glad you love yours.
European cars are also very special but yes, the Mustang comes with a feeling and driving performance unlike the rest. If you haven’t already seen my newer videos, I unfortunately lost this 2015 Mustang GT but after a few months I ended up purchasing another 🤣
And to get a little more volume out of the exhaust I just cut holes in the pipes just behind the mufflers out of sight....the tone is louder but without the rasp...I get asked all the time what exhaust I have on it, when I say stock they don't believe it until I show them the small square holes ...the tone is old-school perfection.
You definitely are way more knowledgeable in this arena than I am, I simply wanted more loud but for cheap and went with an x pipe which wasn’t terrible but… it was loud, very much raspy. I’d do it again but just knowing that I could’ve just done what you did, I wish you had run across my video sooner haha
I got the base model too...I figured why spend an extra $4-5G's for equipment I'd probably end up modifying or replacing. I've already upgraded to the large screen from infotainment and added a amp and small subwoofer.... the cloth seats are better than the premium leather without the issues associated with them, like the seat beat holder tearing off,and excessive heat and seat burns when parked in the sun.
Yo thanks for commenting and just checking out my videos, I couldn’t agree more. I definitely will be reaching out if you’d have time, I’d like to replace the screen and go for an audio system myself
The S550 Mustang GT is the best looking American car on the road today.
I couldn’t agree more, such an easy and fun car to drive also. So practical yet at the same time so aggressive and sporty. Best bang for the buck 🤙🏽
@@createdbyderrick I bought my 16 in 18 and here in 22 I still get people complimenting and kids pointing..
Most of the s550's in my home town are yellow,or black or blue I've only seen one other metallic gray like mine and with the wheel/tire package and carbon fiber trim pieces I have the only mustang in my home town that looks like mine.
@@createdbyderrick ...I have 20" in RTR tech 5's on Michelin a/s PS4
Base model is just fine. As long as you have the Coyote is what matters. I also have base GT
Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more! To have a mustang in general is just amazing even if it has the 4 cylinder turbo or V6 engine. A coyote is something special though 🤙🏽
🙌🏻💪🏻 good choice
Thanks! The Mustang platform has definitely been amazing, can’t wait to add more power
nice car, im looking at one with very high miles 230k..but thats all i can afford
Thanks, sadly this car will with time have a new owner as it was totaled recently after hitting a deer 🤦🏽♂️ there is absolutely nothing wrong with that however, these cars are built to last and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
@@createdbyderrick oh man sorry to hear that, try to buy it back from the insurance company after settlement, deer hit is not a big hit
@@detroitdawg81 don’t buy one with that much miles it’s not worth it
@@davidjitt8097They can go a lot longer than 250,000. But some repairs will be made.
Effin' Nice 🙂👍
I’m thinking bout trading my s2k for a 2015-2020 mustang GT
I will say that’d be a real change for you, unfortunately I’ve never even been in a s2k but I will say the Mustang especially the 15’ and newer is a big car.
I love my car and don’t foresee myself going smaller anytime soon to have better handling etc, but if you don’t mind a little more weight of car to have the added horsepower I think you’ll really enjoy how smooth they drive, surprisingly more nimble than you’d expect, and certainly a lot of fun with a good community behind the Mustang brand.
any issues with this 2015 Mustang? Thanks
Unfortunately my time with this car was cut very short, I bought it with around 8k miles and parted ways with it around 25k miles. I wasn’t one to do burnouts or anything crazy so I never even needed to replace the stock Pirelli tires that come on the performance pack wheels. No issues with oil or the engine, no ac issues, was a great daily driver.
Derrick, after owning the Mustang for a couple of years, how has it been? Any issues with the MT-82 transmission? Anything break? Thanks
John thanks for your comment, sorry for the delay. I considered making a video on this as well as other information about Mustangs based on my experience but tbh with all these guys already on the internet I feel like I have no place to speak 😅
I appreciate you for asking however, and knock on wood, thankfully no issues. As much as people complain about the transmission I personally have never been locked out of any gears when driving the car hard, although I don’t do any street racing. All my gears work thankfully haha, the transmission and engine components seem strong to me. I daily drive my car, have put over 10k miles on my current 2017 Mustang GT within a years time and have experienced no issues besides the need for a new battery.
@@createdbyderrick Thanks for the reply. Is your car modified from factory stock? I'm looking for an S550 GT Convertible with a 6 speed and see there are plenty of aftermarket mods that can be made to it for increased reliability and performance. Thanks
Turn this junk "music" off!!
