A year ago I lost 23 pounds in 3 months using grow with Jo’s 30 min workout with weights. It is a great workout and it really worked for me! I was quite unfit and it helped me a lot! I would totally recommend grow with Jo videos to anyone! 😁
I see a big result there! You looked a lot leaner around your tummy, tighter. I'm doing her 20 min low impact and I can already see the results after 5 days.
I did the 20 minute low impact today and it was great but I’m wondering if that or the 3 mile walking workout will give me faster/better results😅

If it’s not about the way you look then why do you title your workout videos “flat tummy” “inner thigh” and “sexy booty” it’s easy to preach health goals over aesthetic goals but then profit off of people’s insecurities by marketing your own chiselled body as the result of these at home workouts. Honestly I do Jo's workouts every single day for over like a week or so going into 2 or 3 weeks and the way I stay motivated is because I do a lot of her dance workout videos. I think they're so fun and I genuinely like doing them and I feel so good afterwards like I could just keep going, Jo's my favorite instructor it's just something about her that I love. You also have to switch things up doing the same thing everyday can get tiring and boring so switch each day up with a different video.

@@juliacochrane9754So i was an hour glass if you dont consider the hip dips . The only exercise i used to do was walking. I used to walk to every freakin where . Nd during this covid stuff i got fat nd this yr i like started my fitness journey . I dont go outside nd its not convenient any more (idont want to get to the details). So i started doin walking exercises ( u know youtuber "growwithjo"). These walking exercises contains a lot of movement which focuses yr core nd stuff . So i was happy i thought mayb my waist will get smaller . Mind you i had a really small waist. Bt now i feel like im getting boxier .my waist is getting bigger . Idont have my hourglass shape anymore . Why the f is that . Is it really the case of doing these exercise or am i just tripping ?

@@Bethlc07 I lost 25 pounds so far! Definitely worth a try! It feels difficult the first few days, but it got easier for sure.

@@KpopFanLifee Kind of, yes. what’s always helped me is balance, I do lack consistency for sure. Most people who diet eat foods that I don’t like, for example egg, it’s always eaten when it comes to any diet, I haven’t ate it since I was a child, I’ve always hated it unless the food has egg where I don’t know or can’t see it.
So I basically ate whatever I wanted, whether it was home cooked or fast food. Before each meal, I’d drink a water bottle, it’ll make you full faster so you won’t over eat. (I was told to try that and it did help) little by little, I ate less and drank more water. I avoided drinking soda, coke specifically because that’s the main one I would drink a lot and the less soda I drank, the more I lost quicker. I still drank juice but it was always every once in a while since I hardly ever have a thirst for juice like I used to.
Don’t completely jump into cutting out foods right away, you’ll just fall back unless you can mentally stay away from it. Cheat days happened so often where I’d drink 1 soda, my family drink soda religiously so box after box I wasn’t into them anymore.
Just take it day by day, step by step, no rush.

You can never see a difference in yourself. I never have EVER even when I lost 70 pounds lol. I was like nah I'm not that skinny. It's everyone else who sees it, especially those who don't see you every day. You definitely had a huge change!
I know! That happened to me. I didn't notice when I gained weight and when I lost it. People around me noticed first, where asking what I was doing, and I had no idea 🙃 😅

I’ve lost 12 lbs in a little over a month. I do her workouts Monday through Friday. I also do intermittent fasting like Jo does as well. She’s amazing & makes it fun. 👍🏻
How many hours do you fast?
@@i_l_h_a_m7360 intermetting fasting stands for 16/8 schedule . You eat for 16 hours and then there’s a window of 8 hours where you don’t eat anything at all per day
@@robin2567 This is wrong information. You switched it up. You have an eating window of 8 hours and fast for 16 hours. That's the correct one. I eat between 10am to 6pm on 16/8.

@@robin2567 no it does not. you can have your individual fasting/eating schedule. im on a 19:5 schedule atm. it is not restricted to 16:8…
I also don't expect to burn 600 calories with this workout, but I do believe that Jo did burn that many, as people burn calories differently depending on muscle mass, activity level, etc! The important thing is that she has released these super fun workouts that have helped a lot of people get active ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am the same way. Same body type just a little bit chunkier and it's nice to see someone who looks like me, loving themselves. Body positivity has always been a struggle but it gets easier watching these videos

I know I’m late but as someone who struggles with body confidence this means the absolute world to me. You look amazing.
Before and after pics are everything. I originally lost 20 lbs and saw a difference, during the winter holidays I stayed the same then lost another 14lbs in the new year and I couldn’t see the difference… I remember one of growwithjo shorts said take a pic (and I did) and I was able to see difference. It’s hard to see differences when you look at yourself in real time everyday. I also tape measure myself more than I weight myself because I loose more inches more often than I do weight (I feel).
I love how honest and real you are about these things. Even saying things like I’m bored with this, I’m feeling lazy. Because I get that way too like I’m sure most others do too. They say the hardest part of work outs is just to show up. It’s so true. It’s nice to see someone as my body type do these work outs, makes me feel motivated. You are looking great tho bb thank you for the great content🤍🤍🤍

i appreciate this so much--the "it's not about what you look like, it's about how you feel and i feel good so that means the workout gave me the results i want" attitude is so refreshing in a world of videos like this that focus so much on the number of pounds or inches lost. exercise is about taking care of yourself and that should be the focus. a ton of these kinds of videos are kind of triggering to someone who struggles with eating issues like i do so im so genuinely glad you had such a healthy attitude in this. it really did make me feel better

For me who spent more than 10 years playing volleyball and now has a constant pain in knees, this is the only workouts I can do without worrying about my joints breaking. Results indeed aren't drastic and only after some time there will be noticeable change, but I feel like those workouts can easily become a routine for someone who doesn't really likes to work out, or it could become a nice addition to an already existing workout.
Have you tried strength training? I have rheumatoid arthritis and pain in almost every joint but lifting weights us God sent to me
Try some brooks running shoes. You can get fitted in store or take their test online. I did Cheer and gymnastics my whole life and have terrible knees. Their shoes help so much. I do use different shoes for strength training but any walking/running i use my brooks.
Yes it’s definitely much easier on the joints than running ! X that’s for sure 🤣
Fasting reduced 90% of my joint pain ❤️

I started growithjo workouts at the very beginning of lockdown in NSW. To begin with I found it so difficult but now I am feel so much stronger, happier and healthier 4 months on

I was so excited to see that you did a growwithjo workout week trial cos I LOVE growwithjo. Been doing her workouts for about a month now and I feel great doing them and have seen a difference in my body appearance, I've lost an inch to 1.5 inches from my stomach, hips, arms and thighs and I haven't even been doing them everyday. They suit my low impact needs and I love walking/dancing!!
Forgot to add that I also LOVE that she doesn't talk all the way through her workout like some, just a big smile and gestures of encouragement!

@@softsvthours_6204 I switch them up and do several different videos, she's got so many on her channel. I mostly try to do the ones that say no jumping or low impact because of my knees. Sometimes I'll do her 20 or 30 minute ones depending on how I feel, did this particular 3 mile walk exercise in this exlerimental video 1-2 times a week. Was also doing intermittent fasting along with the growwithjo exercises. I ended up losing over 40 lbs in 5 months
Huniiiii there’s such a big difference omg! Imagine if you kept it up! It really worked on you. So typically they say 500cals burned every day equals 1lb of fat loss a week! You smashed it! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

I've been doing Growithjo workouts consistently since April... everyday something different... sometimes I will do one wkt twice or a couple back to back... I add in 2lb (each)hand weights and my arms, shoulders and chest 💪🏽 are in top shape now. I love her energy, the upcoming move preview, the modifications and the countdown has me feeling like I'm in a game simulation... so fun! I've since lost 35lbs and my energy and stamina is through the roof!

@@chelseae.6779believe it or not, I started with simply walking outside with the hand weights, then on a crummy day and the future change of seasons in mind...I thought to look on UA-cam for inspiring, easy to do inside workouts and happened on Growwithjo... which became a fun staple. I also did step workouts on UA-cam here and there. I also recently found BurpeeGirl and have been doing some of her longer walking workouts... but still Growwithjo often gets added to that because her workouts are effective, short and fun to do so why not! I just started( as in, this past week) intentionally adding in weight training... because I feel that's what my body needs more of now to keep it challenged and to tone my muscles... no one wants weightloss and saggy skin... weight training helps to smooth you out and fill you out!

honestly, thank you for showing this. during the day i don’t do much during the day. a few chores here and there, thank you for sharing this. i’ve been so insecure with my weight and my belly since going on contraception you have gave me inspo to carry on so thank you
She’s my favorite trainer. I’ve been doing the 20 min workout once a day to get myself used to it bc I haven’t worked out in YEARS. but after my first week I plan on doing it twice a day along with drinking water and replacing two meals a day with a slim fast shake. I feel very confident

To be honest I only trust you with results because I like that you don’t do diets because I don’t do diets, I feel like you are very honest and you tell us how you feel about the video and show that is it hard, which makes me want to watch you more and gets me to look into new workouts

I love the honesty, makes me feel like i am not the only one. I have really bad joints: knees and hands and jo's workouts are great. 7 days and i do see a difference and it is great for only a week.

Presumably she stops what she's going and goes back to the habits that give her the 'before' body, which is possibly at her set point, which is why her weight will so easily want to go back to that.

The calorie difference for me depends on the day. Sometimes I will keep a higher pace on the rest portions. Also I follow the free schedule she post. Two different videos every day and lately 3 BC she's just so motivating. First time I've wanted to actually do 7 days. And my core strength is terrible. Doing these workouts I can actually feel my abs engaging. Absolutely love jo
