Hi dude, good luck, just to suggest, i think you would be wise to add a centre speaker..in writing music for tv, ad, film you have to consider this channel in many ways the most, the centre speaker represents everything " on screen" & is the focus point for most vocals & allot of spacial information contained across a mix. also by doing this your gain experience in what will be 5.1 which is still a much used format & easily translated up to atmos when needed. There are many 'rules' to working for picture that are not written down, & its only through expiereance using the centre channel that you can really exercise the space to its best in all the other channels. Even though immersive, super wide audio / stereo is what we won't, in truth Mono is your friend. think of the centre speaker like the fire place in the middle of a room. a focus featured point of orientation. forward. What u could learn with 1 more speaker will be double what you will learn with out it :).

Hi Marc, thanks so much for the suggestion. I really appreciate your feedback and explanation. I’ll definitely take this in consideration for future upgrades. Right now I’ll be mostly mixing music in it, and using the phantom center. However I do think you’re absolutely right when it comes to adding an element to the physical center for focus, like with dialog in movies this is essential!

@@MattFlanc no problem dude, Yes,, essential, like the lfe sub channel, you could just have the bass going to the other speakers rather than a sub but we don't because you need to manage that fundamental bass information.. centre is as dedicated as that, its a fundamental that works a little different in the physical world. defo think about it if you can, have fun :)

I’ve been experimenting with it at the atmos studio in my uni, and I’ve noticed how big of a difference the center channel makes from using the phantom center. Thanks for letting me know!
