This video was amazing, I'm a Veteran who is unable to work outside the home so my wife encouraged me to try bookkeeping as i love numbers and work great in a safe/secure area. I have tried for 5 days to understands QBOA and the way you explained this, made what i spent 5 days trying to comprehend super easy in just over an hour. I purchased the class on a Thursday night. worked on it some that night but not much and then worked on it all day Friday and by 4:30 on Saturday afternoon. I was a quickbooks pro advisor.
the test prep was amazing. I do have an advantage that I've been a non-profit bookkeeper for about 5 years but I've never had a certification so it's it's so awesome to have that and recognition that I can do the work. thank you thank you, thank you thank you! thank you!!!!
anyone thinking that QuickBooks might be too much for them just by the class and follow it along and you'll get it?
on Saturday I decided to try doing it a little bit differently and I only feel comfortable doing this because I got 5 years of bookkeeping under my belt. I have the test open. I had the test prep open. I had the quick notes open and I just did everything step by step and it went so fast

I got my proadvisor. Now I am studying for the payroll, and hope to get it in about a week. I couldn't get the advance, the cost is out of budget, even if it is worth it, still out of budget. Thank you

Intuit puts out sample questions & answers, this is not against their rules, this is not unethical, so when someone ask you for the questions and answers, this is what they are most likely referring too. Again, intuit puts them out.(59.07)
I have looked at your class and find it to be very well worth the money. I was afraid that you would over charge yourself out of a business and clients would not be able to afford it, I am pleased. Thank you, I already have a fulltime job at being a in training QuickBooks expert but I need to further myself and this will take it to the next level, thank you. I just enrolled into your classes.
I have not yet reviewed the sample questions and answers to see how closely they align with the actual test, but it is definitely on my to do list! Unfortunately, I do have people ask me for the answers to the actual test questions, not the sample ones. There are also people who post online what they believe are the actual answers to the test. I'm sorry to hear this. Please note, however, that our course is designed to help you with the ProAdvisor certification. This is different than the Intuit Academy Bookkeeper certification.

Sometimes the information doesn't seem to be structured well. So, I'm hoping getting this foundation will help fill in the cracks for me so that I can feel solid in what I know. Thanks.

@clarissa5019 she isn't saying that you should or should not get qbo certified. She is simply telling you that the course you purchased along with it's eventual product will not be that helpful specifically in your passing of the intuit bookkeeper exam...

Hi All, A quick question , if someone can help. Do we have to study both beginner and intermediate skills modules for QB Online basic certification?
I assume you're looking at the Intuit study materials-- they are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced sections. The beginner sections are just to get you acclimated to QBO if you are starting from scratch. The basic level test comes from the material in the Intermediate sections. You can tell whether a topic is on the test because there is a little stylized badge next to it. If you hover over it it will say "Tested on the QuickBooks Online exam." You've got this!

I want to be a bookkeeper. I have no experience. I have an chance to get a job as a bookkeep but i need to get quickbook online certified. Is this course right for me. I did all the training on proadvisor and then took the certification exam and i did not pass any of the sections. What if I pass the ProAdvisor Certification, but I (to this point) lack any accounting/bookkeeping (although I plan to take the Accounting/Bookkeeping Certification Training course in another few weeks). Should I still create my profile?
Create your profile when you feel like you're ready to take on clients. Note that Intuit has changed the policy and you now need 500 points to publish a profile. You get 100 points from your basic level certification. The remaining points can come from adding clients or from getting the advanced and payroll certifications, which are each worth 200 points.

Yes. Signing up for QBOA is free. They will assign you a Company ID just as a reference for your account. They will ask for this when you contact support, for example. HTH
I’m trying to set up a new account on quickbooks pro advisor acccountant and this message pops up “the feature you've requested is temporarily unavailable.” I called the quickbooks CS, they told me to buy the subscription for $100. I thought it’s free to create new account.

Hello I have a quick question. Can you study just for one section and take the exam or is does the exam has questions from different sections? I trying to figure this out so if I need to study for just one section at a time or do I have have to study the whole thing? Thank you!
The current version of the exam does NOT have questions from different sections. So yes, you can study for Section 1, then take the Section 1 test, and repeat for each Section (5 in total)--in fact, that's how we recommend you proceed, since it's a lot to keep in your brain at once. However, without our Fast & Easy QBO course, it's difficult to know where Section 1 ends and Section 2 begins, etc., as it is not clear cut in the Intuit training. Dear Margie, I tried to click “Take test”(Proadvisor Basic) out of curiosity once before I began to watch your video. I didn’t even study 1/10 of the trading materials then. Now the modules in my training are 10 in total and have different titles from the 8 ones you showed earlier. And in my personal path, they became intermediate level. 1. Does it have anything to do with me clicking the test button once? Training for Proadvisor Basic disappears because of that? 2. Should I set up another QBO account if I want to see the Proadvisor basic training there? Thank you so much for this very helpful video!
A couple weeks after filming they changed the whole training portal. There are now 10 modules, and training is broken up into Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. I went through the Intuit QuickBooks Online Accountant site to sign up ( I did this before I came across your videos). Does that have something to do with it ? I have been trying to get into the sample company and it wants me to sign in to my account which is a strange email address so when I put in mine it just takes me back to the training page etc. I cant get into the sample.
Yes, Intuit was having some issues, but it seems to be fixed now.
Are the class and the QBO Gym different things?
Yes. The basic course helps you pass the ProAdvisor certification exam. The QBO Gym, on the other hand, is like a flight simulator for bookkeepers. It gives you the experience of being a bookkeeper without having a job.
We're currently in March 2024. If I was to wait until April to take the first, original certification test, would I have to recertify before June of 2024 (same year). Or do I get to have all of 2024 and not need to recertify until April-June of 2025?

With the 5 sections of the test, it doesn’t say what modules are related to what sections? Like for each section, there’s no way to know what topics you’re going to be tested on?
This year, unfortunately not really. The test goes ROUGHLY in the order of the Intuit training, but there are a handful of topics that are jumbled and tested on in weird places. I guess they want to keep people on their toes? Turns out it's just annoying and makes it harder than it needs to be. You could, although ProAdvisor is really for people who are doing accounting/bookkeeping for multiple clients using the special QBO Accountant version.

how manual bookkeeping is different from qbo?
It depends on how you define "manual" bookkeeping. When I hear that term, I think of handwriting in a general ledger. QBO is online software.

Yes. Assuming you can access the US version of QBOA, you can utilize the free training inside your account (ProAdvisor > Training). Many people do this.

We never deny anyone without an explanation. Typically the reasons people are denied are 1) failure to provide an email address. The reason we require an email address is that Facebook does not do a good job notifying folks about group activity. and this allows us to send emails with important information/updates. And 2) because people are outside the U.S., and we only service U.S. residents (laws, taxation, etc. are different). The basic level certification course is currently $159. I guess everyone has a different definition of "very expensive," but the bookkeeping courses that are out there (and there are many) run in the thousands.There are tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of bookkeepers in the U.S. If you would like to connect with them to find out more about their journey and what all is involved in the profession, I recommend the peer groups listed here; www.fastandeasyqbo.com/resources
