Cheers , I’ve finally made my way up to making the knot (thank you very much) but I’m having trouble moving the knot to a desired position , I can’t move it closer to the clasp , I’ll keep trying but it is difficult for some reason , I can’t understand yet .
I did struggle for a long time, trying to visualise the internal path of a knot too. Wait till you learn to tie the Star Knot, that will cause you a bit of a headache as you try to work out which cord to pull next 😉 😉 😉 Thanks for taking the time to view and also make a comment, very much appreciated.
Nice tutorial Johnny, a basic knot and then a bit more advanced. Haven't tried a triple yet, but it seems fairly easy after watching you do it. Thanks!
@@spuddy345 I really started this channel so that I could remember how to tie knots. After a while I found that others were also using this channel to learn knot. Now I have created a bit of a monster................
Jack Terpack I have never really considered using a multistrand Matthew Walker knot around a core, I think I will experiment with this. However, a single-strand Matthew Walker knot can be tied around a core. I am planning to do a video of this in the near future. A UA-cam search for single-strand Matthew Walker knot will bring up some results for you, if you can't wait.
I am new to this so I experiment a lot. I found this site, sites.google.com/site/newknoticalarts/tutorials/little-lump-knot and am in the process of trying to duplicate it. See Diagram 10.
Jack Terpack good for you! If you really get into this you might be interested in Des Pawsons book amzn.to/2o5Vbdb loads of good projects to do. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Jack and Johnny, it is possible to tie a MW around a core, I have just tried tying an eight strand MW around a core made up of ten strands of the same cord. I’m still learning how to the the MW and think I did something wrong at the start but it turned out pretty good
After you make your Matt walker knots if you pull your loop out of your knots you will have either a figure of 8 knot in pretzel form or a tweenie knot or a stevadore knot depending on what one you make and you can also make the Matt walker knots this way
Lol.. On all three "then we take the left hand one... Ha sorry... Right hand one" cheers mate... Thanks for vids

Got the double but not the treble. Can't get that nice spiral like you have.
Dressing a knot is always a slow and gentle process................. keep at it 😉 😉 😉
Thanks for sharing all the great information.
Keep up the great videos .
Once again Russel, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.

I bet this would look amazing with 2 strands of contrasting colors...
Roy Fernbach give it a go, nothing better than experimenting!
Awesome video!
It is a little old now, really must get on and update it. Glad that you liked it anyway.

Solo quiero agradecerles por tomarse el tiempo de dejar un comentario, realmente lo aprecio. Supongo que eres un anudador decorativo.
I really enjoy your videos. As far as the MW knot, how would you tie one around a core? I keep getting it all messed up.
